100: Chapter 100 Breaking Through the Path to Immortality and Entering the Immortal Realm

Xiao Nannan's eyes turned red. She bit her lower lip hard, forcing herself not to cry.

"Brother..." Her voice trembled slightly.

Xiao Shitou looked at her, his eyes filled with reluctance and doting affection. He stepped forward, reached out, and gently ruffled her hair—just as he had done countless times when they were young.

"Nannan has grown up." He said softly, his voice as gentle as if he were coaxing a child.

"You don't need your brother to protect you anymore."

Xiao Nannan's tears finally fell.

Xiao Shitou gently wiped the tears from her face and smiled: "Go, go to the Immortal Realm with Teacher. There is a better cultivation environment there, a broader sky, and more powerful enemies. You are so strong-willed; you will definitely carve out a place for yourself there."

"When you come back, don't look down on your brother for being too weak."

Xiao Nannan nodded while crying, but could not speak.

Chu Tianjiao took her hand and gave it a gentle tug.

"That's enough, Nannan."

His voice was calm, yet carried a hint of imperceptible gentleness.

"We must also move forward."

He looked up at the starry sky outside the window.

"The future enemies are too powerful. Without sufficient strength, it will be the same as it was a month ago—we won't be able to do anything, only watch helplessly as the people we care about die."

"We need to grow."

Xiao Nannan bit her lip and took one last look at her brother.

Xiao Shitou waved at her, a brilliant smile on his face.

That smile was exactly the same as it had been back in Qingshi Town.

Xiao Nannan took a deep breath, finally turned her head, and stopped looking at him.

Chu Tianjiao led her toward Willow Deity.

Willow Deity stood quietly to the side, witnessing everything. She did not speak, simply nodding slightly to indicate she was ready.

Just then, another figure walked in from outside.

Ancient Kirin Emperor.

He had been waiting outside, not disturbing their final farewell. Seeing they were about to leave, he finally walked in.

Chu Tianjiao looked at him.

"I leave my Disciple in your care."

Ancient Kirin Emperor nodded solemnly.

"Rest assured, Fellow Daoist Jiaoheng. As long as I am alive, I will not let anyone harm him."

Chu Tianjiao smiled and swept his gaze across the room.

In the corner of the room, two massive blocks of divine source stood quietly. Those were Ancient Kirin Emperor's children—Huo Liner and Huo Linzi, still sleeping within the divine source.

Beside them, the immortal peach tree was rooted in a spiritual pond, its branches and leaves swaying gently; the ancient tea tree of enlightenment stretched out its branches, scattering traces of Dao rhyme.

The human emperor banner floated in the air, its flag fluttering gently; the Tyrant Blade leaned against the wall, its blade occasionally emitting a glimmer.

These were all to be left behind.

"Leave your two children in Undying Mountain," Chu Tianjiao said to Ancient Kirin Emperor.

"With the immortal peach tree and the ancient tea tree of enlightenment watching over them, and the human emperor banner and Tyrant Blade guarding them, nothing will go wrong."

He paused, his tone becoming solemn.

"Actually, I would very much like to take them into the Immortal Realm. The Immortal Realm has a better cultivation environment, more complete laws of heaven and earth, which would be more beneficial for their future growth."

"But they are too weak right now."

"The Immortal Realm is not a peaceful place either. There are True Immortals there, and all kinds of factions we do not understand. Entering with their current strength would not be an Opportunity, but a disaster."

Ancient Kirin Emperor nodded repeatedly.

"I understand. That you can consider these things is already the greatest protection for them."

He looked at the two blocks of divine source, his eyes filled with paternal love.

"It is good to let them stay here. With the arrangements you have left behind, and with Undying Mountain as a Foundation, they can grow up safely and steadily."

"When they are strong enough, when this Mortal world truly needs them—"

He smiled. "We shall see."

Chu Tianjiao nodded, saying nothing more. He took one last look at Xiao Shitou.

Xiao Shitou remained standing in place, a smile on his face. In that smile, there was reluctance, blessing, anticipation, and a trace of faint relief.

"Take care," Chu Tianjiao said softly.

Xiao Shitou bowed.

"Take care, Teacher. Take care, little sister. Take care, Senior Willow Deity."

Xiao Nannan bit her lip and nodded vigorously. Willow Deity nodded slightly.

"Let us set off," Willow Deity said, her voice calm.

She raised her hand, and her slender fingers lightly traced a line in the Void Realm.

In that instant—the entire Undying Mountain trembled. The entire Emperor Burial Star trembled. The entire Big Dipper Astral Region trembled!

A beam of light bloomed from Willow Deity's fingertips; the light was so dazzling that it instantly illuminated the entire starry sky. It pierced through the barrier of Undying Mountain, pierced through the atmosphere of Emperor Burial Star, pierced through the walls of the Big Dipper Astral Region, and shot straight into the depths of the Universe!

"Boom—!!!" A thunderous roar shook the entire Universe.

In the depths of the starry sky, a massive portal slowly opened.

That portal was ancient and vast; the frame was carved with countless runes from eras past, each rune exuding an aura that made one's heart palpitate.

Behind the portal, one could faintly glimpse a more vast world—there, the longevity substances were richer, the Dao of heaven and earth was more complete, the galaxy was more brilliant, and there were more ancient ruins.

The road to immortality. The true road to immortality. It had been forcibly pierced open by Willow Deity with the power of an Immortal King.

"Let's go," Willow Deity withdrew her hand, stepped forward first, and walked into the portal.

Chu Tianjiao held Xiao Nannan's hand tightly and followed. Their figures disappeared into the light.

Xiao Shitou stood in the courtyard of Undying Mountain, watching the portal slowly close, watching the figures of his Teacher, little sister, and Willow Deity disappear completely. On his face, a smile remained. That smile was so brilliant it seemed to be glowing.

"They're gone... When we meet again... perhaps we will be strangers..." He murmured, his voice very soft.

In the depths of the starry sky, that massive portal finally closed completely, turning into a point of light before vanishing. Everything became quiet.

Undying Mountain still stood there, shrouded in Chaos, isolated from the world.

The human emperor banner floated in the air, scattering golden rain of light; the Tyrant Blade leaned against the wall, occasionally emitting a humming sound; the immortal peach tree and the ancient tea tree of enlightenment swayed by the spiritual pond, scattering specks of light.

Ancient Kirin Emperor stood to the side, watching Xiao Shitou, saying nothing.

Xiao Shitou turned around and looked at him.

"Senior Qilin, I leave myself in your care from now on."

Ancient Kirin Emperor was stunned for a moment, then laughed.

"It is I who should ask you to look after things. I will still need to trouble you with my two children."

Xiao Shitou smiled and said nothing. He looked up at the depths of the starry sky. There, his Teacher, little sister, and Willow Deity had already disappeared. But he knew they would return. Perhaps in ten thousand years, perhaps in a million years, perhaps even longer. But they would return.

But he might not be able to wait for his Teacher and Nannan to return. He understood that he could not wait for his Teacher and Nannan to return; perhaps he would undergo Reincarnation after death, but would the reincarnated version of himself still be himself? He did not know, and his Teacher did not know either; he could only leave everything to fate.

The only thing he could do was wait. Wait to see what this Mortal world would become without the Supremes. Wait to see how the Mortals would multiply and thrive on this land. Wait to see how the Prodigies would rise and contend in the new era. Wait to see how this world would turn a new page.
