72: Chapter 72 Willow Goddess! Save me!!!

This compromise lasted for a full ten years.

Over the ten years, the atmosphere of Undying Mountain was always filled with sweetness and "tension." Xiao Nannan's complexion grew better and better, her figure became increasingly lush, and her mature, charming aura was fully revealed; she was radiant, like a blooming peony.

Chu Tianjiao, however, grew more haggard by the day.

The once high-spirited and dashing True Immortal had now become listless, with deep exhaustion in his eyes. His steps were unsteady, and the True Immortal aura about him had dimmed considerably—he looked completely drained.

Just as Chu Tianjiao was about to reach his limit, a streak of pale green light pierced through the barrier of Undying Mountain, and the figure of the Willow Deity appeared in the courtyard.

She had just finished her inspection of the surrounding Star Domains. Upon her return, she saw Chu Tianjiao sitting on a stone bench, his head nodding as if he might fall asleep at any moment. His face was pale and his aura listless, a far cry from the high-spirited True Immortal of ten years ago.

"What happened to you?" The Willow Deity stepped forward, her eyes full of confusion.

She could feel that the True Immortal Origin within Chu Tianjiao was not damaged, yet he was exceptionally tired, as if he had consumed a vast amount of energy. Moreover, his body... no matter how she looked at it, it seemed like a case of over-exhaustion.

Before her voice had even faded, the Willow Deity extended a tender willow branch from behind her. A drop of emerald-green Life Essence dripped from the tip, hovering before Chu Tianjiao like a pearl.

"Open your mouth," the Willow Deity said softly.

Chu Tianjiao instinctively opened his mouth, and that drop of Life Essence turned into a warm current that poured into his mouth, slid down his throat into his stomach, and instantly spread to his limbs and bones.

His depleted energy recovered rapidly, like parched land receiving rain, and a flush of color gradually returned to his pale face.

Feeling the power surging within him once more, Chu Tianjiao snapped his eyes open. Seeing the Willow Deity's figure, it was as if he had seen a great savior; his eyes instantly turned red.

"Senior Willow Deity! You're finally back!"

He no longer cared for the dignity of a True Immortal and threw himself directly into the Willow Deity's arms, tightly hugging her full figure. He buried his head in her chest like a wronged child, his voice choked with sobs.

The Willow Deity was stunned by his sudden action, her body instantly stiffening.

She had lived for countless ages and seen many great storms, but she had never been embraced so directly, let alone by a True Immortal.

But feeling Chu Tianjiao's near-collapsing emotions in her arms, the confusion in the Willow Deity's heart grew even deeper.

She reached out and gently stroked Chu Tianjiao's head, her tone as gentle as if she were soothing a child: "What happened? Tell me slowly, don't rush."

Feeling the Willow Deity's gentleness, Chu Tianjiao's emotions completely erupted, and he began to pour out his "miserable experiences" over the past ten years.

"Senior Willow Deity, you don't know, Nannan is too much!"

Chu Tianjiao wailed, "She insists on having a child with me. I told her it's very difficult for a True Immortal and a Human Dao Cultivator to have offspring, but she just won't listen. She clings to me every day, making endless demands. I'm about to be drained dry!

In these ten years, I haven't had a single day of proper rest. If this continues, even as a True Immortal, I won't be able to hold on!"

The more the Willow Deity listened, the more surprised she became, her expression shifting from confusion to shock.

She never expected that a dignified True Immortal would be "drained" to such an extent by a woman in the Human Dao Domain.

While she understood Xiao Nannan's desire for a child, she shouldn't be so unrestrained.

Looking at Chu Tianjiao's state, there wasn't a hint of a True Immortal's majesty left; it was as if all his spirit and energy had been sucked away.

Just as the Willow Deity was about to sigh a few words, a pleasant yet somewhat lazy voice suddenly came from inside the house: "Teacher, it's time."

Upon hearing this voice, Chu Tianjiao's body suddenly stiffened. His wailing stopped instantly, and he buried his head even deeper, pressing tightly against the Willow Deity's chest, not even daring to breathe loudly.

The Willow Deity looked toward the source of the voice and saw Xiao Nannan walking out of the house, wearing a sexy purple slip dress.

She had just finished bathing, her hair still damp with mist. Her skin was as fair as jade, shimmering with a crystalline luster under the sunlight. Her long legs beneath the hemline were slender and straight, outlining a full and exquisite curve. Her aura was much more mature than ten years ago, charming and moving.

Seeing the Willow Deity, a flicker of surprise crossed Xiao Nannan's face; she clearly hadn't expected the Willow Deity to return at this time. But she quickly reacted, giving a polite bow to the Willow Deity, her voice sweet: "Senior Willow Deity, welcome back."

Then, her gaze fell upon Chu Tianjiao in the Willow Deity's arms, her lips curling into a meaningful smile.

The Willow Deity composed herself and looked at Xiao Nannan, her tone gentle yet serious: "Xiao Nannan, although I am an outsider and shouldn't interfere in your relationship as husband and wife, in matters between a man and a woman, one must ultimately understand moderation."

"Your desire for a child is understandable, but you must also consider Tianjiao's body and feelings; you cannot simply make demands of him blindly."

Hearing the Willow Deity's words, the smile on Xiao Nannan's face vanished instantly.

She stepped forward, reached out, and pulled Chu Tianjiao directly out of the Willow Deity's arms with such force that Chu Tianjiao didn't even have time to resist.

"This is a matter between us as husband and wife, so there is no need to trouble Lord Willow Deity with it."

Xiao Nannan's tone was somewhat cold, then she turned to look at Chu Tianjiao, a sweet smile returning to her face. "Teacher, let's go back. Tonight, I've even put on your favorite purple dress."

To Chu Tianjiao, that smile seemed to carry a hint of yandere, making him tremble all over.

He looked helplessly at the Willow Deity, his eyes filled with a signal for help, as if saying, "Senior, save me."

Seeing this, the Willow Deity's brow furrowed slightly.

She could feel Chu Tianjiao's resistance and understood that if this continued, it would be detrimental to both his cultivation and his body.

She waved her hand, and a gentle yet irresistible force erupted, pulling Chu Tianjiao back from Xiao Nannan's grasp and shielding him behind her.

"Senior Willow Deity, what is the meaning of this?" The smile on Xiao Nannan's face disappeared completely, her brow furrowed tightly, and her tone carried a hint of dissatisfaction.

The Willow Deity's action was undoubtedly interfering with her and her teacher's affection.

"Tianjiao is crucial to my Rescue Plan."

The Willow Deity's expression was calm, but her tone carried an unquestionable authority. "He needs sufficient rest. If you truly care for him, you should let him recuperate properly instead of draining his energy like this."

Hearing this, Xiao Nannan's brow furrowed even tighter.

She could not refuse the Willow Deity's request.

After thinking for a moment, she finally nodded: "Since Senior Willow Deity has spoken, this Junior naturally has nothing more to say."

After saying that, she gave Chu Tianjiao a long look, a playful smile flashing in her eyes, and waved to him: "Teacher, then I'll head back first. Once you've rested well, remember to come find me."

Watching Xiao Nannan's retreating back, Chu Tianjiao felt as if he had been granted a grand pardon. He let out a long sigh of relief, and his tense body instantly relaxed.

He turned to look at the Willow Deity as if seeing his savior, throwing himself into her arms once more, his voice carrying the relief of a survivor: "Senior Willow Deity, thank you! You truly are like a second parent to me!"

Feeling the body throwing itself at her again, the Willow Deity felt something was not quite right, but she couldn't put her finger on it.

She could clearly feel the gratitude in Chu Tianjiao's heart and sense his fear of Xiao Nannan. She could only gently pat his back, continuing to soothe this "wronged" True Immortal.
