93: Chapter 93: Slaughtering Twenty-Two Supreme Beings

He murmured, his eyes filled with awe.

In the center of the battlefield, the slaughter continued.

The seventeenth Supreme fell.

The eighteenth Supreme fell.

The nineteenth Supreme fell.

The twentieth Supreme fell.

When the head of the twentieth Supreme was crushed under Chu Tianjiao's foot, the remaining ten Supremes finally collapsed completely.

"Flee! Run, quickly!"

Someone roared, turning and rushing toward the edge of the battlefield. He wanted to break through the barrier of the human emperor banner and escape this Hell.

But Xiao Shitou had long been guarding the edge.

"Want to escape? Did you ask me first?"

He let out a furious roar as his Saint Body Vision fully unfolded. The Golden Sea of Bitterness was boundless; Immortal King Descends to the Nine Heavens, Chaos Seeds the Azure Lotus, and the Yin and Yang Life-Death Diagram—all nine visions appeared simultaneously, forcibly blocking the Supreme's path.

"Get out of the way!"

That Supreme had gone mad, burning his final Origin as he charged toward Xiao Shitou.

Xiao Shitou gritted his teeth and took the blow head-on. His golden blood-qi surged, and a trace of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth, but he did not retreat a single step.

"I said—if you want to escape, you have to get through me first!"

His voice was incredibly firm.

The Supreme fell into despair.

With Xiao Shitou in front, the human emperor banner behind, and a god of slaughter like Chu Tianjiao in the middle.

He could not escape.

"Aaah!!!"

He let out a desperate howl, turned around, burned his final Origin, and charged toward Chu Tianjiao.

Since he couldn't escape, he would go down fighting!

Chu Tianjiao looked at the Supreme rushing toward him, his eyes showing not the slightest ripple of emotion.

He raised his hand and slashed out with his blade.

Mid-charge, the Supreme's figure suddenly froze. He looked down at his chest—there, at some unknown moment, a bloody hole had appeared.

"You..."

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but could not utter a single word.

BOOM—

His body exploded, turning into a mist of blood that filled the sky.

The twenty-first Supreme had fallen.

On the battlefield, only nine Supremes remained.

They huddled together, their bodies trembling and their eyes full of despair. They looked at the figure holding the Tyrant Blade as if they were looking at the true God of Death.

"Please... please spare our lives..."

One Supreme finally couldn't take it anymore and knelt down.

He was once an Ancient Emperor who had suppressed an entire era. But now, he knelt before Chu Tianjiao like a stray dog.

"Spare your lives?"

Chu Tianjiao looked at him, his eyes filled with disgust.

"When you launched the Dark Turmoil and devoured all living beings, did you ever think of sparing their lives?"

He raised his hand and slapped down.

Before the Supreme could even let out a scream, he was slapped into a bloody mist.

The twenty-second Supreme had fallen.

The remaining eight Supremes were in total despair.

They exchanged looks, a flash of determination in their eyes.

"Fight! Ultimate Sublimation is death, and fleeing is death, so let's die spectacularly!"

"Self-destruct! Let's take this devil with us!"

"Kill!"

The eight Supremes simultaneously burned their final Origin, detonating their Immortal Altars, their Primordial Spirits, and their everything!

Eight destructive lights lit up at once. That power was so terrifying that even the barrier of the human emperor banner began to crack, and even the Starry Sky Battlefield began to collapse.

Xiao Shitou's expression changed drastically. He wanted to rush forward but was forced back repeatedly by that power.

"Teacher!"

He roared, his eyes full of worry.

Chu Tianjiao stood at the center of those eight destructive lights, without a trace of fear on his face.

He slowly raised his hand.

"Return of the Three Immortals."

He spoke softly.

Three strands of Immortal Qi surged out from his body, instantly transforming into three figures identical to himself—those were the Incarnations of his Three-Life Dao Fruits.

The First-Life Chaos Body Incarnation held the phantom of the Tyrant Blade, the Second-Life Mortal World Incarnation formed hand seals, and the Third-Life Current Self Incarnation stood with his hands behind his back.

The three Incarnations stood side-by-side with his main body.

And then—

They attacked simultaneously.

Blade light, palm prints, and fist shadows—three immortal-path attacks boomed out, colliding with the eight lights of the self-destructions.

BOOM—!!!

An indescribable roar echoed through the Universe.

The entire Starry Sky Battlefield completely shattered at this moment. The barrier of the human emperor banner trembled violently but ultimately held firm, though the space within the battlefield had turned entirely into Chaos.

A blinding light illuminated the entire starry sky.

Xiao Shitou was sent flying by the shockwave, slamming into the barrier and spitting out a large mouthful of blood. But he didn't care about the pain, staring fixedly at the center of that Chaos.

"Teacher... Teacher..."

He murmured, his voice trembling.

The light gradually faded.

The Chaos Qi slowly dissipated.

A figure slowly walked out from the Chaos.

Black hair and black eyes, with a delicate face and a faint smile on his lips. Three strands of Immortal Qi swirled around him, and though his robes were stained with Emperor Blood, he remained as upright as a pine tree.

Chu Tianjiao.

He was still alive.

And moreover, he was completely unharmed.

Xiao Shitou was stunned, and then a light of wild joy erupted in his eyes.

"Teacher!"

He rushed forward to Chu Tianjiao's side, looking him up and down. Only after confirming he really wasn't injured did he let out a long sigh of relief.

Chu Tianjiao couldn't help but laugh seeing him like this.

"What? Did you think I'd be blown up by those few pieces of trash?"

Xiao Shitou scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"No... it's just that the power of that self-destruction was too strong, I was worried..."

"Worried about what?" Chu Tianjiao patted his shoulder. "Your teacher is an Immortal."

He turned around, his gaze sweeping over the now completely shattered Starry Sky Battlefield.

Of the twenty-some Supremes who had undergone Ultimate Sublimation, less than half remained.

On the battlefield, eight mangled Imperial Corpses were floating, what was left after the self-destructions—those eight Supremes had all fallen, not one left.

Including those killed before, he had already slaughtered twenty-two Supremes.

Twenty-two.

This number was enough to shock anyone.

And now, only the last seven Supremes remained alive—the seven who had not used Ultimate Sublimation from the start and had been watching from the edges of the battlefield. They huddled together, shivering, looking at Chu Tianjiao as if they were looking at the true God of Death.

"Teacher, what about them?" Xiao Shitou asked.

Chu Tianjiao's gaze swept over those seven Supremes, a hint of thought flashing in his eyes.

Just then—

A sudden change occurred.

At the end of the Starry Sky Battlefield, in the area shrouded by Chaos Qi, a violent vibration suddenly broke out.

A rift tore open without any warning.

But it was no ordinary rift.

The rift grew larger and wider, expanding to an unimaginable degree in an instant—it tore through the starry sky, tore through the firmament, and tore through the barrier of the entire Universe!

RUMBLE—!!!

An indescribable roar resounded through the cosmos. It wasn't the sound of thunder, but the world itself wailing, the sorrow of the Dao Laws being torn apart.

In the entire Shrouding the Heavens Universe, on every Ancient Life Star and for every living being, no matter where they were or how high their cultivation—at that same moment, they all raised their heads.

They witnessed a scene they would never forget for the rest of their lives.

At the peak of the starry sky, behind that massive rift, a figure stood towering from behind.
