155: Chapter 155 Thunder Emperor Domain

The foreman scolded them mercilessly.

The workers' faces all darkened, but no one dared to say a word.

This foreman had always been cold-blooded; saying one extra word might very well lead to him holding a grudge and retaliating. Everyone knew this.

Roofing was one of the most dangerous jobs on the construction site. Yet, the site had only assigned two people.

It was already quite difficult for Lin Jian and Du Yuan to have nearly finished before the wind picked up.

Yet, the foreman could still utter such bastardly words.

Just then, the strong wind surged again, and another small section of the roof was torn away and swept into the air.

The foreman became even more enraged. After finishing his scolding, he stormed off to sit elsewhere, muttering curses under his breath.

The other workers immediately gathered around Lin Jian and Du Yuan.

"What should we do now?" one worker asked.

"Does that even need asking? Of course, we can't go up there; it's too dangerous with this wind." Another person replied on their behalf.

"I know it's dangerous, but we can't just watch the roof continue to break."

"Just with the damage now, the money deducted is almost half of our wages. If it goes on like this, we might even end up paying out of pocket."

"So what? How much are our wages? It's only twenty thousand yuan. Is it worth risking our lives for?"

"You say that easily since you don't have to pay for the damages."

Lin Jian had heard enough of the argument. He raised his hand to stop them, then turned to look at Du Yuan, asking him if he wanted to go up and repair the damaged roof.

Du Yuan immediately nodded in agreement. Even though he knew in his heart that this trip was extremely dangerous, he also didn't want his wages to be deducted. After all, twenty thousand yuan was already pitifully low.

The other workers didn't stop them; instead, they stepped forward to help prepare. They tied sturdy safety ropes around their waists and assisted them in climbing onto the roof.

Once on the roof, Lin Jian and Du Yuan immediately began emergency repairs, but their movements were exceptionally slow. The strong wind made it impossible for them to open their eyes, and their bodies were pushed by the airflow, forcing them to move slowly, step by step.

Although progress was slow, the roof was being repaired bit by bit. The workers below looked up, praying that the weather would not worsen further.

Just then, the strong wind suddenly became more chaotic, and the whistling turned into a roar.

Lin Jian and Du Yuan, caught completely off guard, were instantly blown off the roof by the strong wind. Clang...!

The safety ropes around their waists snapped to their limit, but they did not break, suspending the two in mid-air and preventing the misfortune of being blown away by the strong wind.

But the disaster did not stop there. The section of the roof they had just repaired was torn apart again and swept away by the wind.

"Damn it! That was too dangerous, get down here quickly!"

"Quickly, grab the steel frame and move downwards!"

The workers on the ground shouted out in alarm upon seeing this. Their hearts pounded wildly, as if they were the ones in danger.

But the roaring wind swallowed their voices. Lin Jian and Du Yuan couldn't hear them at all. However, it didn't matter; both of them already knew what to do.

Lin Jian grabbed the building's steel frame first, struggling to climb back onto the roof, then reached out his other hand for Du Yuan to grab.

The two tacitly decided to give up the repairs and get down immediately. With the current wind force, remaining on the roof was no different than risking their lives.

If the wages were gone, they were gone; the safety of their lives was more important than anything.

After Du Yuan grabbed the steel frame, he let go of Lin Jian's hand and began to climb down. Lin Jian prepared to do the same.

But just then, a piece of torn roofing material suddenly flew toward Lin Jian.

Seeing this, he hurriedly dodged to the side, letting go of the steel frame. His whole body was pulled into the air by the safety rope... this was the only way to avoid being slashed.

However, while he dodged, the safety rope tied to his body faced the flying material head-on. With just one strike, the sharp material instantly severed the rope.

The next second, Lin Jian lost control of his body, spinning as he flew away into the air, the construction site's roof behind him getting smaller and smaller.

"Lin Jian!" Du Yuan's terrified shout reached his ears for only a fleeting moment before being drowned out by the roaring wind. Like a piece of paper in a storm, Lin Jian was swept far away.

Shortly after Lin Jian was swept away, the raging wind suddenly ceased, and the violent air currents returned to normal.

Du Yuan and the other workers: "..."

The wind stopped right after blowing someone away? What kind of weird, evil occurrence was this?

"Go find Lin Jian!" someone shouted, and the workers immediately rushed out.

On the other side.

Lin Fan had finally caught up to Fenglie. He had to admit that this giant bird's speed was ridiculously fast; Lin Fan had to use his skills and Spell in combination to barely keep up.

After traveling thousands of miles, Lin Fan finally caught up. He appeared directly on the giant bird's back and kicked her hard in the spine. Bang!

Her leg collided with the bird's back, emitting a deafening sound like an explosion. Fenglie's body plummeted from the high altitude like a meteorite, smashing toward the ground at an astonishing speed.

Boom...!

The massive body hit the ground. The ground shattered with a roar and shook violently. In an instant, a giant crater was smashed out, as if a mountain had been uprooted.

Lin Fan did not stop. Purple stars appeared around him, condensing into six Star Arrays. This was a Tier 6 Saint-Grade Spell!

"Thunder Emperor Domain!" Lin Fan shouted in a low voice, intense purple light bursting from his eyes.

The six purple Star Arrays rose and expanded above him, covering an area of over eight hundred meters. Looking up from within the Domain, one could only see a sea of brilliant purple stars, the sky completely obscured.

Fenglie, having just struggled to get up from the giant crater, was about to flee again. But a violent Thunder Strike struck down from the Star Array above, smashing hard onto her back.

Rumble!

The deafening lightning strike blasted Fenglie back onto the ground, and several hard feathers shattered on the spot.

Fenglie was not resigned; she flew toward another direction to escape. But a Thunder Strike fell from the other side as well, smashing her hard into the dirt once again.

The shockwave spread in all directions. Under Lin Fan's repeated Thunder Strike attacks, the giant crater had already turned into a canyon.

This was the power of the Thunder Emperor Domain. The six Star Arrays hung in the air. With just a thought, Lin Fan could summon lightning attacks of any form anywhere within the Domain.

This was also the reason why Fenglie's several attempts to escape were fruitless. Although her speed was faster than Lin Fan's, Lin Fan's gaze could firmly lock onto her movements, and his mental intent was several times faster.

Often, before her wings were fully spread, she had already been struck by lightning. After several consecutive lightning strikes, countless shattered feathers were scattered throughout the canyon.

Many feathers had fallen off Fenglie's body, and the flesh underneath was severely burned. In the air, the six Star Arrays still floated like six purple suns.

Fenglie finally gave up on escaping. She could no longer endure this torture and just wanted to crouch there and cry.

She was a dignified god-domain level Demonic Beast, the overlord of the sky, the Dominator of the wind. Even a Tier 6 Saint Mage wouldn't dare to treat her like this; how did she run into such a monster?!

"Stop! Stop! I'm not running anymore!"

Seeing the purple Star Arrays' light surge again and another Thunder Strike about to fall, Fenglie's crisp voice resounded through heaven and earth.
