184: Chapter 184 The Su Family's Revenge

Even so, Luo Zhongheng and his teammates still had grim expressions.

Being "carried" by Lin Fan again left a bitter taste in their mouths, yet they were helpless to change it.

He glanced at the projected schedule.

The match between Longwei Magic Academy and Golden Magic Academy...

...was scheduled as the tenth match of the day, which was the second to last, and would take place late in the afternoon.

The projection soon vanished, and the matches officially began.

Eight students from the two magic academies stepped onto the field.

"Start!"

One exciting duel after another unfolded as time flew by.

Cheers and discussions rose and fell within the arena; the audience watched with great interest.

Some matches were full of wit and fun, some were blood-pumping, and others were simply shocking.

Midway through, Lin Duo told her mother she wanted to go to the restroom.

After watching matches for several hours straight, wanting to use the toilet was perfectly normal.

Her mother nodded, stood up, and accompanied her into the internal area of the arena.

The mother and daughter reached the restroom entrance, and Lin Duo went inside to relieve herself.

Lin Fan's mother, Xia Yue, waited outside.

A few seconds after Lin Duo went in, a man wearing a black suit and sunglasses walked up to Xia Yue.

"Mrs. Lin?"

The man spoke softly, coming to a halt in front of Xia Yue.

"Yes? May I help you?"

Xia Yue looked at the man with a face full of confusion.

"It's nothing. Please come with me for a moment."

After the man finished speaking, he turned around to leave.

Xia Yue grew even more confused and did not follow immediately.

"Why? My daughter is still inside; I want to wait for her."

She said.

"You needn't worry. It won't take long, and you'll be back soon. Our mistress simply wishes to have a few words with you; she said she is an old friend of yours."

The man explained.

Xia Yue frowned slightly. After thinking for a moment, she decided to follow him.

This was the arena, with mages everywhere. What could possibly go wrong?

Just as the two left, several more men in black suits and sunglasses walked toward the restroom area, led by a Red-haired girl.

She was Su Linlin's younger sister!

"Go in and find her."

The girl commanded in a harsh tone.

"Yes, Young Miss."

One subordinate responded, kicked open the restroom door, and the group swarmed inside.

"Find her and bring her to me."

Su Linlin's sister ordered again, and the black-clothed subordinates immediately began searching the stalls one by one.

The next moment...

...screams of girls erupted from the restroom, and many people ran out in a panic, clutching their skirts.

A few seconds later, Lin Duo was dragged out by two men and brought before Su Linlin's sister.

Lin Duo had been struggling at first.

But when she saw the girl with the same hair color as her own, her body instantly froze.

"What are you going to do?"

Lin Duo asked, her eyes instantly turning red.

Slap!

"You should blame that good brother of yours. It's his fault my sister is suffering so much!"

Su Linlin's sister slapped Lin Duo across the face and spoke coldly.

Lin Duo trembled all over, her cheek stinging with burning pain.

"Take her away."

Su Linlin's sister ordered again and turned to leave.

Just as Lin Duo was about to speak, she was suddenly struck on the back of the head by something and instantly lost consciousness.

At the same time...

...Xia Yue followed the man in black to a passage inside the arena.

A woman dressed in an exquisite red dress was waiting there.

It wasn't far from the restroom; it only took the two of them a minute to get there.

"Madam, I have brought Mrs. Lin."

Upon seeing the woman, the man bowed and reported.

"Oh, hello there, old friend."

The woman in the red dress spoke in an excited tone and slowly turned around...

...she had been facing away from them until now.

Xia Yue looked up.

She wanted to see who this so-called old friend actually was.

But when the woman fully turned around and their eyes met, both of them were stunned.

Xia Yue: "..."

She didn't know this woman at all.

"Oh dear, it seems I've mistaken you for someone else. I am truly sorry."

The woman in the red dress laughed awkwardly and bowed to apologize to Xia Yue.

"It's fine. People make mistakes sometimes; just be more careful next time."

Xia Yue waved her hand and smiled.

Since the other party had already apologized, she wasn't angry.

She didn't linger and immediately returned to the restroom area to continue waiting for Lin Duo.

When Xia Yue returned to the restroom area, it was a total mess.

There was no one there, and the door had been kicked in.

An ominous premonition instantly gripped her.

She rushed inside while shouting Lin Duo's name.

But there was no response from within.

Xia Yue panicked completely, checking every stall and searching every corner, but she couldn't find Lin Duo.

What made her heart turn even colder was that all the stall doors were wide open, as if the people inside had fled in a hurry.

"No... Lin Duo!"

Xia Yue screamed and rushed out of the restroom.

She knew her daughter couldn't have left her and gone ahead.

So she searched frantically nearby, asking everyone she met if they had seen a little girl with red hair.

Red hair was eye-catching to begin with, but after asking around, everyone shook their heads.

After a long few minutes...

...someone finally told her that they had just seen a group of men in black suits carrying off a Red-haired girl.

Xia Yue's pupils shrank, her legs went weak, and she collapsed directly onto the ground.

"I... what have I done..."

Her voice was hollow as she finally realized...

...during the brief moment she was gone, her daughter had been kidnapped.

And it was obvious that the group who had called her away just now were accomplices.

She stood up abruptly and rushed toward the passage where the woman in the red dress had been waiting.

But the place was already deserted.

Xia Yue immediately dialed her husband Lin Jian's phone and told him everything.

After receiving the call, Lin Jian immediately left Qing Yu at the shop and headed straight to the Mages Union to report the crime.

He called Xia Yue back, telling her to stay calm and that he would arrive soon with Alliance Law Enforcement Personnel.

"I'm sorry... it's all my fault... if... if only I hadn't left her..."

Xia Yue's sobbing voice came through the phone.

Lin Jian's face was ashen. He knew his wife was on the verge of collapse and he had to stabilize her.

To dare to kidnap someone so brazenly in a place like this—if Xia Yue, a normal person, went after them, she would only be taken away too!

Meanwhile...

...Lin Fan was still leisurely watching the matches in the Longwei Magic Academy's spectator area.

He had noticed earlier that his mother and sister were not in their seats.

But after an hour passed and the two still hadn't returned, he finally sensed something was wrong.

He frowned and spread his perception, covering the entire arena to investigate the situation.

Soon enough...

...he found his mother, but she was alone, and he could tell from her behavior that something had happened.

Lin Fan scanned the entire venue but could not find any trace of Lin Duo's presence.

He delayed no longer, stood up from the spectator area, and went straight to find his mother.

The principal called out to ask where he was going, but Lin Fan ignored him and didn't stop walking.

The principal sensed the heavy aura around him and didn't ask further.

Lin Fan quickly found his mother.

He was sharply pained by how different she looked compared to an hour ago.

Her eyes were hollow and her hair was messy as she stood there muttering to herself like a wandering soul.
