Share allocation

Before the share allocation plan was even finished, someone immediately stood up to object.

"This allocation plan is unreasonable. Wang Xiuyuan, you are the pioneer of this business, yet your shares in these companies aren't even as much as what the three of us are getting. It's very unreasonable for you to lose the right of control.

Furthermore, adding your twenty percent, the four of us alone would take sixty percent of the shares in each of these three companies. Having the remaining six people split the remaining forty percent is simply too little.

What would they think?"

The speaker was Reynoldson Rockefeller. This fellow was quite capable, but at times, he was a bit too naive.

It wasn't just Renoson who opposed this method of share allocation; others also spoke up in opposition.

"I feel that the share portions for those three are indeed a bit high; at the very least, they shouldn't be getting more than Wang Xiuyuan.

With the four of you taking sixty percent, Wang Xiuyuan's share can't be increased anymore. I think it's more reasonable for the three of them to take twenty percent each, and then give Wang Xiuyuan a bit more."

"Yeah, they're taking so much. If the six of us split the remaining forty percent, each person only gets six-point-something percent. That's way too little."

Almost everyone had an issue with this share allocation ratio; even Renoson, Devik, and Locke themselves felt a bit embarrassed.

They understood clearly that they were getting a huge bargain. Wang Xiuyuan had thought out the entire plan from start to finish; how much effort would they really be putting in just by managing the companies?

Therefore, the three involved parties were all declining, believing it would be better if they took a bit less.

But Wang Xiuyuan alone did not think so.

"Each of you has your own reasons and views. From your perspective, these views are very reasonable, but everyone needs to look at the same problem from a different angle.

The reason you opposed it just now was simply because three points didn't sit right with you.

First, you believe I have the greatest merit, and taking only twenty percent in each of the three companies is a bit low.

Second, you feel that since the three of them are only responsible for managing the companies, taking thirty percent of one company and five percent each of the other two is a bit much.

Third, the remaining forty percent in each of the three companies isn't enough for the rest of you to split.

Let me explain them to you one by one, lest a rift develops between us in the end.

First is my twenty percent share. Under normal circumstances, this twenty percent would indeed be a bit low.

But are these normal circumstances? My goal is to achieve an industry monopoly.

If I didn't seek you out, I could still do this business, but there would be absolutely no hope of achieving an industry monopoly.

Relying on the first-mover advantage and my understanding of this brand-new industry, I could definitely grow the company to be the largest in the sector, but it would be impossible to completely control the industry's discourse.

But with you all, it's different. Your backgrounds and family connections can help me achieve this goal.

Right now, it seems like I'm taking fewer shares, but once the industry monopoly is achieved, I might actually earn more.

Which is more: fifty percent of fifty dollars or twenty percent of a hundred and fifty dollars? Moreover, with the support of the Nine Major Families behind you, this business will only be more stable and long-lasting.

One must give to receive. I am giving up some interests in exchange for a longer-lasting future. I believe this decision is very correct.

Furthermore, regarding the share issue for Renoson, Devik, and Locke, I believe the proportions they are taking are very reasonable.

They hold so many shares, and the core control of these three companies is also in their hands.

But these three companies must eventually be ranked first, second, and third. In terms of market share, one will inevitably have more and another less. What do you think the families behind them should do?

Renoson, Devik, Locke, tell me yourselves: would you and your families rather take thirty percent of the third-place company plus five percent of the top two, or thirty percent of the first-place company plus five percent of the bottom two?

This is an obvious issue."

Then Wang Xiuyuan looked at the others and continued.

"With six-point-something percent in each of the three companies, you will certainly contribute, but the effort you and your families put in will definitely not be as much as the three of them, nor could you possibly be as desperate as they are.

All of their energy and time will be spent on how to manage these three companies well. Your roles are more about assisting in smoothing out government relations in various places; the gap here is quite large.

Furthermore, within the remaining forty percent of shares in each company, ten percent belongs to Sanchez Roosevelt.

The Roosevelt Family's influence in the political and judicial fields is deeper than that of the other families. These three companies will need the Roosevelt Family to put in a lot of effort when the time comes, so it's very reasonable for Sanchez to take ten percent.

Of the remaining thirty percent, the five of you will each take six percent.

Think about it yourselves: Renoson, Devik, Locke, and Sanchez and their families are putting in so much effort, and they are taking a total of forty percent and thirty percent of the three companies combined.

You are playing a supporting role and taking a total of eighteen percent across the three companies. Is what you're getting really that little?"

Wang Xiuyuan's speech silenced everyone present.

As the pioneer of this business, he had his own goals. Since he was willing to give up some interests to make the business bigger and stronger, the others couldn't really say anything.

Moreover, just as he said, after the cake gets bigger, even though the proportion he eats has decreased, the actual amount he gets in his stomach has increased. Whether it's a loss or a gain is hard to say.

In short, as long as the party involved has no objection, it's fine.

The families of Renoson, Devik, Locke, and Sanchez would inevitably have to put in great effort. Even Wang Xiuyuan, the leader, was willing to give up the core control and so many shares of these companies to them.

Once Wang Xiuyuan analyzed these issues for everyone, they really didn't have any more objections.

The only thing that made them slightly dissatisfied was that getting only six percent in each company felt like too little. What a great business this was—a monopoly business!

Despite some dissatisfaction, they couldn't say anything more. After all, everyone saw the price that both Wang Xiuyuan, the leader, and the other four needed to pay. They could only suck it up and accept it.

It was already good enough that Wang Xiuyuan was willing to include them in the business. If they still complained about it being too little, wouldn't they seem very tactless?

However, how could a good person like Wang Xiuyuan let the others return home disappointed? Benefits that should be given must be given, and the "big pie" that should be drawn must be drawn perfectly.

"Mars, Rodriguez, Salmer, Gluck, Reeves, why don't you think about it another way? The main energy of those four will be entirely tied up in Private Prisons. If I have another profitable business, do you think the four of them will still have time to get involved?

So when that time comes, it will definitely be you who lead the operations.

For some smaller profitable businesses, I'll just find one of you to invest some money together and get it done. If it's a big business, we'll definitely have to call everyone together to contribute money and effort.

Only by uniting can we exert even greater power."
