Chapter 59 The Silent Kidnapping

After entering the villa, Hu Zhenxiang went straight to the wine cabinet. The cabinet wasn't very large, but it was filled with all sorts of alcohol.

Dry red wine, dry white wine, brandy, whiskey, tequila, vodka—most types of liquor could be found in this cabinet.

Whether these drinks tasted good depended on personal preference, but they all shared one characteristic: they were extremely expensive.

Hu Zhenxiang picked a few small ice cubes from the ice maker next to the cabinet and dropped them into a crystal glass, then turned and took a bottle of Chivas Regal 18 Year Old whiskey from the shelf.

This was a premium whiskey recently launched by Chivas Brothers, carefully blended by Chivas Master Blender Colin Scott, using a mix of Speyside single malt whiskey and grain whiskey aged for at least eighteen years in oak barrels.

Known for its exceptional quality and complex flavor profile, it quickly became the flagship product of the premium Chivas brand line upon release, and one of the most expensive varieties offered by Chivas.

The amber liquor quickly merged with the ice cubes in the crystal glass, appearing particularly dazzling under the light.

Just based on the beauty of this moment, the already expensive Chivas Regal 18 Year Old whiskey seemed to be particularly cost-effective.

Hu Zhenxiang took a small sip of whiskey, then carried the glass toward the second-floor bedroom. This was a unique habit of Hu Zhenxiang.

Before every "friendly match" with his mistress, he liked to drink a shot of strong liquor to set the mood, as a small amount of strong alcohol speeds up the body's blood circulation.

At the same time, a small amount of alcohol stimulates the neurons in the brain, making it easier to feel pleasure and excitement during physical activity.

Pushing open the master bedroom door, Hu Zhenxiang casually turned on the bedroom light, but the scene before him made his pupils instantly contract.

A tall man wearing a black hood and black tactical gear was standing in the bedroom, holding a Colt M1911 Pistol fitted with a suppressor, and a dark muzzle was already pointed directly at him.

'Did a rival gang send him to assassinate me? But why hasn't he just shot me yet?'

'Wait, this person definitely wasn't sent by a rival gang to assassinate me.'

'Is it an enemy coming back for revenge? That shouldn't be possible; I eliminated all my enemies root and branch. There shouldn't be anyone left seeking vengeance. Could there be a survivor who slipped through the net?'

All sorts of thoughts flashed rapidly through Hu Zhenxiang's mind as he quickly analyzed every possibility, attempting to find a way to escape.

But all of this was just meaningless death throes, because another tall man, identically dressed, had appeared behind Hu Zhenxiang and pressed a gun against his back.

Seeing that all hope of turning the tables was lost, Hu Zhenxiang managed a bitter smile.

"Tell me your purpose for being here, if you're willing to share."

The person holding the gun to Hu Zhenxiang's back said coldly, "Shut your mouth and come with us quietly."

Seeing that they weren't willing to say more, Hu Zhenxiang drained the wine in his glass. This was a rare fine liquor, and being able to drink a glass before being taken away was a stroke of luck.

The gunman in front of Hu Zhenxiang put away his pistol and stepped toward him. A pair of hands wearing black tactical gloves took the crystal glass from Hu Zhenxiang and tossed it onto the bed.

Next, he pulled several plastic zip ties from his pocket, bound Hu Zhenxiang's hands behind his back, and then wrapped his mouth over and over with tape.

Finally, he was led out of his villa, and a black SUV carried Hu Zhenxiang away, disappearing into the dark night.

Meanwhile, in an apartment building in Boston's Chinatown across the river, a Chinese man who had drunk himself into unconsciousness was sleeping on the sofa, his roaring snores deafening.

Over a dozen empty beer cans were scattered messily on the coffee table and the floor; clearly, this guy had drunk heavily tonight.

This Chinese man was an important leader of the Peace Gang, a Chinese gang in Boston. He was primarily responsible for the Peace Gang's retail business of "leaves" and "white powder," with at least several million dollars worth of these substances passing through his hands every month.

The Peace Gang is a Chinese gang, and Chinese gangs have long been famous worldwide for their fighting capability.

However, the sphere of influence for these Chinese gangs has always been concentrated near the local Chinatown. A crucial reason for this is the strict limitations placed on the development of Chinese gang power by local politicians; they cannot allow Chinese gangs to grow powerful enough to escape their control.

Therefore, these Chinese gangs can only prey on their own countrymen within Chinatown. Without exception, all the "leaves" and "white powder" sold by the Peace Gang were sold to Chinese people.

China suffered through two Opium Wars and was poisoned by opium for over a hundred years. Normal Chinese people, even when overseas, tend to steer clear of all types of drugs. In order to increase sales of "leaves" and "white powder," this man used all sorts of shady methods to lure people into addiction.

Adding "leaves" as seasoning to dishes when inviting people to dinner was merely a basic maneuver.

"Click."

With a faint click, the apartment door lock was secretly opened. However, the guy lying on the sofa was sleeping like a dead pig and was completely unaware that danger had quietly arrived.

A muscular man wearing a black hood and black tactical gear walked over to the sofa and crouched down, taking a syringe from a box on his waist and gently sticking it into the Chinese man's neck.

He still didn't wake up when the slender needle pierced his neck. Perhaps sensing the foreign object, the Chinese man's facial muscles twitched slightly—perhaps this was the muscles issuing a silent protest on behalf of his shut-down brain.

As the transparent liquid was injected into the Chinese man, the burly man in black pulled out several plastic zip ties, bound the man's hands together, hoisted him onto his shoulder, and quietly departed.

The entire process went very smoothly, without loud noises or intense gun battles. An adult man was simply and quietly taken away.

The same events were repeatedly unfolding throughout the city of Boston that night, only these individuals all shared a common identity: important members of the Peace Gang in Boston and their family members.

At the same time, inside a luxury suite at a five-star hotel in downtown Boston, Wang Xiuyuan was lounging on the sofa, watching boring television programs.

Two o'clock in the morning was an unpopular time slot for major television stations; it was indeed difficult to find interesting programs at this hour, adult paid programming excepted.

"Knock, knock, knock."

A bodyguard checked the movement outside through the peephole before opening the door. Andrew Smith entered the room and walked straight up to Wang Xiuyuan.

"Boss, the job is done. All targets were secured, and there were no unexpected incidents throughout the entire process.

All those people have been taken to an abandoned warehouse outside Boston. Do you have any further instructions?"
