4: Chapter 4 High-Level Profound Rank: Half-Step Crushing Fist
In the pitch-black night sky, a silver moon hung high, casting cool, silvery radiance upon the earth.
Within the dense small woods, a faint campfire flickered like a flame spirit, bringing a hint of warmth to the cold night.
Beside the campfire, the youth leaned against a tree trunk, his gaze quietly watching the flames.
Two days had passed since Hun Tiandi left Cangyun Town; the initial excitement had faded amidst the hardships of sleeping in the open.
He casually threw a piece of firewood in to make the campfire burn brighter.
With a flip of his hand, he took out a map from his storage ring, his destination being the "Tianmu Mountain Range."
That was the goal of Hun Tiandi's journey: to cultivate for a period, stabilize and consolidate his cultivation, and hone his Dou Technique.
Hun Tiandi mused, "With my current strength, I can only deal with some First-Order Magical Beasts; at most, I can only wander around the perimeter..."
It was just in time to comprehend some suitable Dou Technique before entering the Tianmu Mountain Range.
He put away the map and sat cross-legged on the ground.
Closing his eyes slowly, he recalled the cultivation techniques and Dou Techniques in his mind. He wasn't in a rush for the cultivation technique; after a quarter of an hour, he found a Dou Technique suitable for close-quarters combat.
"Half-Step Crushing Fist: A Xuan-rank High-grade Dou Technique. A close-quarters combat technique known for being rigid, fierce, and ruthless. When cultivated to perfection, the attack contains Nine-Fold Force, and when stacked, its power is comparable to a Di-rank Dou Technique."
If one could master it, defeating an opponent three or four stars higher in strength would not be difficult.
A vast amount of information surged into his mind, sudden and overwhelming.
It immediately made his head swell, and after clearing his mind, a mysterious smile appeared at the corners of his mouth.
Whether it was cultivation techniques or Dou Techniques, there was a huge gap between grades. The gap between Xuan-rank and Di-rank was like heaven and earth; they could not be spoken of in the same breath.
However, Half-Step Crushing Fist did not have high requirements for Dou Zhi Qi, but its requirements for the physical body were extremely harsh.
This type of Dou Technique was suitable for close-quarters combat; if the physical body was not tough enough and one forcibly executed it, not only would it fail to attack the enemy, but the body might shatter first.
Take it slow!
Cangyun Town, Sky Wolf Mercenary Group headquarters.
"Young Leader, that little beast did not return to the Yun Family Courtyard; he must have fled Cangyun Town."
The middle-aged man in black said indignantly. They had sent six mercenaries for an assassination in the dark of night, only to find nothing.
"Go, order the brothers outside in the group to search for him. I want to see a person if he's alive, and a corpse if he's dead," Young Leader Tian Gang ordered, his cold gaze emitting a bloodthirsty crimson light.
"Yes, Young Leader." The middle-aged man in black received the order and left.
"Little beast, your father has already been killed, where else can you run to?"
Inside the main hall, Tian Gang said coldly.
"Young Leader, could that old thing Uncle Li know something? The old man Yun had a good relationship with him before he died..."
The middle-aged man in black pondered for a moment, as if remembering something, and a sharp light flared in his eyes.
"I will take people to go personally. If he tells us the whereabouts of the little beast Yun Tian, I will leave him a whole corpse. If he doesn't..."
Young Leader Tian Gang smiled coldly, like a venomous snake hidden in the dark, opening its blood-red maw.
The man in black went to give the orders.
The dark night!
In the silent sky, a bright moon hung high, its cold light covering the earth in a silver veil.
On the street, a group of people moved quickly, heading forward in the direction of the small courtyard where Uncle Li lived.
The Li Family Courtyard.
Uncle Li was draped in an outer garment, puffing on his pipe; the curling blue smoke drifted like a mist, and he was lost in thought.
"Old man, that child Yun Tian is truly pitiful. His mother died at his birth, he was raised painstakingly by the old man Yun, and then Father Yun died; this child has completely become an orphan."
On the edge of the bed, Aunt Li was fiddling with her needlework and sighed.
"Sigh, that's right. I don't know where Young Master Yun went; I'm a bit worried about him!" Uncle Li said softly.
The two remained silent.
Boom!
A loud noise resounded through the night. A group of people, as barbaric as bandits, rushed into the Li Family Courtyard, wielding swords and blades, exuding a ruthless aura.
"Who are you people?" Uncle Li stood up abruptly and shouted.
"Old man Li, where did the little beast Yun Tian go? Tell us and I'll spare your life."
Young Leader Tian Gang was cold, the edge of the long sword in his hand sharp.
"Young Master Yun left early in the morning and hasn't returned. I don't know where he went either." Uncle Li's heart sank as he spoke.
This was because the mercenaries under Tian Gang had placed a long sword against Aunt Li's neck as a threat.
"Old man Li, if you don't tell the truth, the consequences will be severe." Tian Gang continued to threaten.
"Young Leader, I really don't know where Yun Tian went. Even if you kill me, I don't know." Uncle Li said solemnly.
Young Leader Tian Gang pondered, his pair of cold eyes staring fixedly at Uncle Li, who was trembling all over and breaking out in cold sweat from being stared at.
"Fine, this young master believes you. Kill them!" After speaking, he turned and left.
"Bastard, you said..." Uncle Li shouted in anger. Pfft, the blade entered his body, and he collapsed to the ground, blood flowing all over.
Aunt Li followed in his footsteps; their family was destroyed in a single night.
In the early morning, fairy-like mist shrouded the mountains and forests, like a white cloth covering the sky. The rising sun ascended, its golden light like a giant sword piercing the void, shining down on the top of Hun Tiandi's head.
He opened his eyes abruptly, erupting with brilliant light, stood up, and exhaled a breath of turbid air.
The campfire on the ground had long since gone out, with a few wisps of smoke drifting.
With a stamp of his foot, he kicked up dust to cover it, then turned and walked in one direction.
This figure was none other than Hun Tiandi.
After resting for the night, Hun Tiandi's target this time was the Tianmu Mountain Range.
What he lacked now was iron-bloodedness and slaughter; to become a powerhouse, he must go to the Tianmu Mountain Range.
A look of tenacity and unyielding spirit was revealed in Hun Tiandi's eyes.
He had already made this decision when leaving Cangyun Town; Cangyun Town was the starting point of his path to becoming a Dou Di, definitely not the end.
On the road, he had gained some insights into the Half-Step Crushing Fist.
He needed to find some First-Order Magical Beasts to practice on, hone his Dou Technique, and temper his courage. Having transmigrated into the unlucky Hun Tiandi, he had inherited incomplete memories.
Now, he was just a twelve-year-old child who had not yet been tempered by blood.
He ultimately had to take this step.
Roar!
Suddenly, a loud beast roar came from the woods ahead, and out came a beast with white fur, thick limbs, claws gleaming with cold light, and a tail like a steel whip.
"A First-Order Magical Beast, Snow Leopard!"
The Snow Leopard had amber eyes, a pair of small ears hidden in its fur, and whiskers on its muzzle like steel needles. It looked incredibly ferocious, dripping with foul-smelling saliva as it stared at Hun Tiandi.
Hun Tiandi took a deep breath, cautiously setting up the stance for the Half-Step Crushing Fist. His feet were staggered one in front of the other, his left hand clenched into a fist and raised to chest height, palm facing up.
His right hand was clenched into a fist placed against his right ribs, palm facing up.
His eyes stared straight ahead, Dou Zhi Qi gathered on his hands, watching the Magical Beast Snow Leopard, waiting to launch an attack.
Whoosh!
The Magical Beast Snow Leopard sank its limbs slightly, exerted force, and shot out like an arrow off a bowstring, pouncing toward Hun Tiandi.
When it was within half a meter, Hun Tiandi's figure swayed, dodging to the right side of the Magical Beast Snow Leopard. He swung his right fist, a simple and brutal punch, smashing forcefully into the Snow Leopard's belly.
His fist sank into the thick fur; the punch felt like hitting cotton. The fist print created a small pit, but it was immediately bounced back.
Roar!
The pained Magical Beast Snow Leopard let out a heaven-shaking roar, and a hint of ferocity appeared in its amber beast eyes.
It seemed surprised that this little thing in front of it had actually dodged...
After one strike, Hun Tiandi's confidence greatly increased. He circulated his Dou Zhi Qi to gather on his fists; his innate soul power made his nerve reflexes extremely outstanding.
Man and Snow Leopard confronted each other, and the Magical Beast Snow Leopard pounced again, its body slightly sideways.
Hun Tiandi's fists rained down like raindrops, crashing onto the abdomen of the Magical Beast Snow Leopard.
He grabbed the Snow Leopard's fur tightly with both hands, flashed his figure, and rode on the Snow Leopard's back. With his left hand gripping the fur tightly, he gathered Dou Zhi Qi in his right hand.
He smashed continuously onto the Snow Leopard's head, the beast's roars shaking the sky.
"Eighty... No, that's not right, got distracted. Die for me!" Hun Tiandi punched incessantly, all of them landing on the Snow Leopard's head.
I don't know how much time passed, but Hun Tiandi lay limp on the ground, panting heavily, sweat beads on his forehead.
Beside him, the Magical Beast Snow Leopard had long since lost its life, its massive head smashed to pieces. A small pit had been beaten into the ground, filled with leopard blood.
Hahaha!
Having killed a First-Order Magical Beast Snow Leopard, Hun Tiandi laughed.
