627: Chapter 627 Zi Xun Makes Her Move, Azure Heaven Holy Land
The mountain was essentially destroyed, yet Yao Yiming managed to escape, standing high in the air.
Hun Tiandi held his long blade, his gaze as cold as steel as he swept it across the retreating Yao Yiming. A hint of disdain spread across his cold and charming face.
Yao Yiming's expression flickered between uncertainty and fear. He had encountered powerful foes before, but none as terrifying as Hun Tiandi; the man had hidden his strength too deeply.
This particular branch of the Blood Feather Mercenaries was now completely reduced to ruins.
Suddenly, the Blood Feather Divine Mark on Yao Yiming's forehead began to dim until it vanished completely.
In the distance, Princess Zi Xun watched the scene from a mountaintop, observing Hun Tiandi with great interest.
Was Yao Yiming preparing to flee?
“Trying to leave?” Hun Tiandi’s figure moved like lightning, appearing before him at maximum speed and swinging his blade.
Boom!
Their blades clashed once more, but Hun Tiandi's strength was too overwhelming. The strike sent Yao Yiming crashing into the ground like a cannonball.
Even after reactivating the Blood Feather Divine Mark, he was no match for Hun Tiandi. It was terrifying.
Standing in mid-air, Hun Tiandi looked down at Yao Yiming in the giant crater. Killing intent flared on his face as he swung his blade down again.
Heavenly Law, Void Tear!
Rumble!
Suddenly, the lightning Fighting Qi within his body surged like a tide. Accompanying this Void Tear strike toward Yao Yiming, its power was horrifying and the blade technique domineering.
It left Yao Yiming without even the strength to flee.
“No...” Yao Yiming cried out in terror.
Boom!
The killing blow exploded silently in mid-air. Hun Tiandi and his two companions instantly went on guard, for an Elder in Black had appeared beside Yao Yiming. He had long, grayish-white hair and a blood-colored divine mark flashing on his forehead.
It was he who had blocked the fatal strike.
“Teacher, you’ve finally returned!” Yao Yiming was filled with excitement; he finally wouldn't have to die.
“What happened?” the Elder in Black asked in a heavy voice.
“It’s him! His name is Hun Tiandi. He killed ten thousand of the Master's Blood Feather Mercenaries and stole the Soul Gathering storage ring and the Beast Storage Bag.”
“I intended to lure him here to be ambushed and killed, but... but all our people died by his blade!”
Yao Yiming said in panic.
“Oh? Interesting!” the Elder in Black said coldly.
“Teacher, be careful. This youth, Hun Tiandi, is very strange!” Yao Yiming warned.
The Elder in Black’s eyes turned cold as he looked at Hun Tiandi’s group of three.
The moment this elder appeared, Hun Tiandi knew the situation was serious. To block that strike so effortlessly meant his strength was not to be underestimated.
“Just these three? Two Dou Zong level and one Seven-Star Dou Zun?” the Elder in Black said, somewhat unconvinced.
Hun Tiandi’s pupils constricted. This person could actually see through their cultivation levels. He was at least a peak Nine-Star Dou Zun, perhaps even a Dou Zun expert who had completed three rotations.
A peak Nine-Star Dou Zun? It wasn't impossible to kill him.
However, he would need to reveal some of his trump cards. He also had to protect Mr. Corpse Soul and Liu Ling, as they were part of his foundation.
Mr. Corpse Soul narrowed his eyes, secretly forming seals within his long sleeves. Liu Ling’s Fighting Qi began to circulate, ready to explode with a startling blow at any moment.
Hun Tiandi stood in front of the two. As an Emperor, how could he retreat?
Seeing Hun Tiandi's calm demeanor, the elder gave a cold laugh. Yao Yiming’s figure blurred as he vanished from his spot.
The elder struck out with a palm, carrying a terrifying force that caused space itself to twist violently.
Puchi!
Just as Hun Tiandi was about to use his trump cards, the sound of flesh being pierced rang out. A beautiful long sword pierced through the back of the elder's head and out through his brow. Sword intent erupted, instantly tearing him apart.
The Elder in Black fell, still frozen in his attacking posture.
“Hun Tiandi, I just saved your life!” Princess Zi Xun said with a smile.
This single sword strike had even shredded his soul power, completely extinguishing his life force.
“Thank you,” Hun Tiandi said to Princess Zi Xun. Even though she had ambushed him during the stone seizure at Starfall Pavilion and the subsequent battles...
...and had even gone to the battle at Lingxiao Heavenly Court.
Now she had intervened to save him. What exactly was she planning?
“Oh? Then how do you plan to thank me?” Princess Zi Xun asked as if it were only natural, a smile playing on her beautiful face.
She felt quite joyful in her heart.
Hun Tiandi: “...”
“Where are you headed?” Princess Zi Xun asked.
Hun Tiandi felt it was strange, as if Princess Zi Xun had been following him all along. He spoke slowly: “Yao Yiming previously said he would take us to the Cangtian Holy Land. I didn't expect...”
“Cangtian Holy Land? How are you going to get in? You need a token now!” Princess Zi Xun asked.
Hun Tiandi flipped his hand to reveal a token. Then, with a grab through the air, he snatched the storage ring from the Elder in Black’s hand.
Upon opening it, there were some pills and Dou Techniques inside, along with two more tokens.
“Let’s go, I’ll take you there!” Princess Zi Xun flew off into the distance. Hun Tiandi had no choice but to follow along.
“The Cangtian Grand Ceremony happens once every thousand years. The Cangtian Holy Land issues eighty-one tokens to top-tier forces in the Central State that have accumulated hidden merit. However, most experts gift these tokens to their disciples!”
“How do you have a token? Aren't you cultivating through worldly prestige?” Princess Zi Xun asked curiously.
“A friend gave it to me. These two belonged to the Elder in Black,” Hun Tiandi said calmly.
The Cangtian Holy Land was a Buddhist sacred land. It had three Buddhas: the Past Amitabha Buddha, the Present Guiyuan Buddha, and the Future Jinchan Buddha.
They were the strongest in the Sacred Land and also the strongest in the Central State, only a hair's breadth away from being Dou Di.
“Three Buddhas? Each one is the strongest below the Dou Di level?” Hun Tiandi said with surprise.
It seemed that during the years he was sealed, the Fighting Qi Continent had undergone massive changes.
“Indeed. The Cangtian Holy Land originally had two Buddhas and was already quite arrogant. Now that they have the Jinchan Buddha as well, they’ve become even more domineering!”
Princess Zi Xun said softly.
“Why did you come here?” Hun Tiandi asked.
“I’ve missed you since we last parted. It just so happens I need you to do me a favor,” Princess Zi Xun said playfully.
“Your luck is very good; you could be called a Child of Fortune. You can help me catch a pet!”
“A pet?” Hun Tiandi looked at Princess Zi Xun with a wary gaze.
“Yes, as long as you help me catch it, it'll be fine!” Princess Zi Xun said.
“Where is it?” Hun Tiandi asked cautiously. If someone with Princess Zi Xun’s background couldn't do it, his own efforts might be in vain.
“Right in the Cangtian Holy Land. What’s with that expression? I just saved you, I’m only asking for a favor.” Princess Zi Xun looked indignant.
“Alright, I will do my best!” Hun Tiandi took a deep breath and said.
“That’s more like it. Don't worry, I won't make you fight. This Princess believes in your luck. To establish the Da Zheng Imperial Dynasty at such an age, you must have encountered many fortuitous encounters.”
“This shows your luck is monstrous and defies the heavens. As long as you stand there, the little beast will run to your feet.”
“You just need to step on it and wait for this Princess to pick it up!” Princess Zi Xun said with a face full of smiles.
Hun Tiandi was speechless upon hearing this.
Behind him, Mr. Corpse Soul and Liu Ling broke into a cold sweat as they listened.
Ten days later, the four of them arrived at the so-called Cangtian Holy Land.
This was the Cangtian Holy Land. In the distance was a golden mountain range that stretched endlessly, filled with countless ancient trees. A single monastery was as large as a small town in the Central State.
This was one of the three great sacred lands for accumulating hidden merit, the Cangtian Holy Land.
Outside the monastery sat over a hundred small groups, some in magnificent silver robes, some in Daoist robes, and some in monk's robes, all sitting cross-legged with pious expressions.
Approaching quickly, Hun Tiandi looked at the massive plaque, which was inscribed with four words.
Cangtian Holy Land!
