711: Chapter 711 Alchemy Competition, Seizing Energy

"If the five of you are ready, the Alchemy shall begin..."

Seated at the head, Yao Tian spoke heartily with a calm expression.

After Hun Tiandi shot the Taiyin True Fire into the Medicine Cauldron, the other four moved apart and began their preparations for refining medicine.

Gu Jiyu sneered. With a flicker of his body, he appeared before a golden fire cauldron and sat cross-legged. With a flip of his hand, countless medicinal herbs floated and rotated around him.

The fragrance of various medicinal herbs permeated the air.

As they prepared to act, Ruan Xing in the distance also used the Taixu Holy Fire to condense a massive fire cauldron, having reached his current level of Alchemy.

Metal Medicine Cauldrons could almost be dispensed with; fire cauldrons condensed from Heavenly Flames at will were of the best quality.

Old Man Shennong sat cross-legged. With a wave of his sleeve, many medicinal herbs flew out, their rich fragrance filling the world with a delicate scent.

Yao Ling smiled confidently. The Sky Blue Glazed Fire condensed into a fire cauldron. With a point into the air, medicinal herbs flew in from afar; when had the Medicine Clan ever lacked for various medicinal materials?

In the north, Hun Tiandi smiled slightly, his eyes showing no emotion as he looked at the Flood Dragon Cauldron before him.

He did not follow the other four in using Heavenly Flame to condense a fire cauldron, but chose a metal Medicine Cauldron instead.

He clenched his hand, and the storage ring on it flashed with light as items began to circle around the Medicine Cauldron.

There were a vast number of them, likely over a thousand types.

Such a quantity of medicinal herbs was staggering...

"Refine..."

Many medicinal herbs entered the Medicine Cauldron in succession. The dark blue flames surged and expanded, enveloping the herbs to begin purification.

The reason Hun Tiandi's Alchemy skills had improved so quickly was that he had truly put in hard work.

Back then, the Elders of the Flame Alliance were hunting Gu He, but they were suppressed by Liu Ling and brought back to the Lingxiao Heavenly Court.

After Hun Tiandi deduced the Soul Devouring Secret Method, he used the four Great Elders of the Flame Alliance as test subjects to devour their Alchemy talent.

Forcibly seizing an individual's talent was something that had never appeared on the Fighting Qi Continent before.

If this were leaked, Hun Tiandi would surely become the target of all. This Soul Devouring Secret Method was too perverted and too evil.

On the Fighting Qi Continent, to become a noble Alchemist, one must meet two rigid conditions.

First is a powerful Innate Soul Power, and second is a fire-attribute cultivation talent that also contains a trace of the wood attribute.

Neither condition could be missing. If the Soul is not strong enough, even with fire and wood attributes, one cannot become an Alchemist, and vice versa.

For Hun Tiandi, his Soul Power was sufficient, but he lacked the fire and wood attribute talent.

Playing with Alchemy, he could only refine some low-grade Medicinal Pills.

After devouring the talents of the Flame Alliance Elders, both conditions for Hun Tiandi to become an Alchemist were met.

Inside the Time Tower.

In the sixth floor, he had bitterly cultivated Alchemy for as long as a hundred years, wasting an unknown amount of Heaven And Earth Treasures. Coupled with Elder Dan's guidance, he finally reached the level of a high-tier Grade 8 Alchemist.

This was also thanks to the Dazheng Empire behind Hun Tiandi, where Ye Lingxi painstakingly cultivated countless medicinal herbs for him to squander.

In all the world, only one person knew Hun Tiandi was a Grade 8 Alchemist.

That was his teacher, the Dean of the Dazheng Empire's Alchemy Institute, Elder Dan, Dan Chenzi.

Had he not first manifested a Spirit Realm Soul, even the realm of a Grade 9 Alchemy Grandmaster would be but a step away.

For Hun Tiandi, cultivating Alchemy was merely to satisfy his wish to become an Alchemist; you might not use it, but you cannot not know it.

The Alchemy competition between the five great Alchemists officially began.

"Hmm? Hun Tiandi's Alchemy techniques don't look like those of a novice?"

"Indeed, refining and purifying so many medicinal herbs is a massive test for one's Soul Power."

On the square, some Alchemists noticed Hun Tiandi's uniqueness; that steady temperament certainly didn't seem faked.

"Why is there not even a hint of his reputation in the Central Plains?"

While refining, Yao Ling was also paying attention to Hun Tiandi, though she did not know what level his Alchemy skills were at.

But she had confidence in him, knowing he was not a reckless person.

"How does this fellow Cultivate?"

"He is not old, yet his Alchemy skills have reached such a peak."

Whether it was the younger generation of the Medicine Clan, the Alchemists and Grand Elders from the Central Plains watching the ceremony, or even Sect leaders,

they were all focusing on Hun Tiandi.

Gu Jiyu, Ruan Xing, Old Man Shennong, and Yao Ling—all four were Alchemists nurtured by major powers, with unknown amounts of resources spent on them.

They didn't receive as much attention.

In the distance, the most furious was Yao Xingji, staring coldly at Hun Tiandi, who had caused his reputation to suffer a great loss.

To be so young and compete on the same stage as the Seniors of the Alchemy world,

he immediately attracted the eyes of everyone present. They did not know what kind of foundation Hun Tiandi had behind him, with a famous teacher's guidance and the cheating Divine Artifact that was the Time Tower...

"As expected of the man I fancy..."

Yao Ling's beautiful eyes flickered. Her Innate Soul was different from others, having long reached the Heaven Realm Great Perfection, only a step away from an Emperor Realm Soul.

This was the capital she took pride in over ordinary people.

Hun Tiandi was not in the least bit hurried, still following his own rhythm, continuously tossing medicinal herbs into the Medicine Cauldron at a pace that was not slow.

In the process of purifying the herbs, his techniques were at the pinnacle.

He had already been able to complete this easily back when he was bitterly cultivating Alchemy in the Time Tower.

His manipulation of the Taiyin True Fire was also skillful. The dark blue flames enveloped the herbs, occasionally splitting off a globule of pure medicinal liquid.

There were powders, there were liquids...

Various medicinal materials were wrapped within the fire clusters, incredibly pure. At the same time, the other four were not slow at all, completing the refinement of large batches of herbs.

Their smooth and flowing Alchemy techniques were simply an art form.

The Alchemists present were mesmerized, their eyes flickering with fanaticism. If they could learn even a move or two by observing the Medicine Ceremony, it would be of no small help in improving their own Alchemy skills.

A day later, Gu Jiyu was the first to complete the purification of his herbs. Opening his eyes and looking at the many light clusters before him, he clenched his palm, and all the light clusters drilled into the fire cauldron.

Immediately, a startling energy impacted the fire cauldron, causing continuous vibrations and roars.

He gave a low shout: "Golden Emperor Sky Burning Flame, refine the energy of heaven and earth!"

Following this, the energy in the sky surged and vibrated, pouring down and entering the golden fire cauldron. It was calcined and refined by the golden Heavenly Flame, and pure energy was poured into the fire cauldron to condense the pill.

This terrifying prowess shocked everyone present.

Alchemy emphasizes stability; such a forceful seizure of heaven and earth energy would break the balance.

Once out of control, the first to suffer would be the Alchemist.

"A Grade 9 Profound Pill refining technique?" Yao Tian's expression was grave. As the Medicine Clan Chief, how could he not recognize this unusual phenomenon?

Ruan Xing's sword-like brows twitched. His Alchemy hand seals changed as he shouted, "Power of heaven and earth, condense!"

"Hahaha, since everyone is in such high spirits, this old man cannot fall behind either..."

Old Man Shennong laughed. With a wave of his hand, that patch of heaven and earth energy in the middle was also torn down and pulled into his fire cauldron.

"Hmph..." Yao Ling gave a cold snort. Her hand seals changed, and the fire cauldron erupted with a terrifying suction force, directly plundering the energy from the heaven and earth to the west.

Now, four pillars of energy reaching the heavens shot into the depths of the firmament, seizing the energy of heaven and earth.

The whistling heaven and earth energy erupted with bursts of thunderous sound, turning into four storms in competition.

Numerous Alchemists looked at the phenomenon with burning eyes; these four great Alchemists were actually refining the legendary Grade 9 Profound Pill.

Grade 9 Profound Pills were extremely rare.

"All four are refining Grade 9 Profound Pills?"

Yao Tian's expression was somewhat strange. With his vision, he naturally saw that the four were competing in secret; as for who would ultimately win, the result was hard to predict.

The refining of a Grade 9 Profound Pill required a terrifying amount of heaven and earth energy to be devoured.

The heaven and earth energy within ten thousand miles of Yao Mountain was rich and extraordinary, but it was impossible for it to support the simultaneous refining of four Grade 9 Profound Pills.

It was likely that in the end, only one person could succeed.

"These fellows actually want to refine four?"

Yao Tian sighed with emotion.

Among those present, the only one without movement was Hun Tiandi. Many medicinal herbs were merging within his Medicine Cauldron, yet he did not take action to seize the heaven and earth energy.

He even watched the competition of the four with great interest.

Watching the four seize energy, he wondered who could successfully refine one; in this competition, they would likely all fail.

"Jie jie jie, no, only one person can succeed!"

Hun Tiandi laughed evilly as he looked at the four people seizing the heaven and earth energy.
