418: Chapter 418 Hao Meili Awakens, Izumo Empire

abi sword, Yuantu Sword!

Right now, only sword spirits have been born, making them spiritual weapons, but there is still some distance to go before meeting Hun Tiandi's requirements.

The complete Nether Twin Swords must have Nether Sword Souls born within them.

To forge a sword soul, two great divine objects are needed: a sword spirit and a sword essence. Although sword spirits were born after devouring Sovereigns Blood, it is still not enough.

Lacking a sword essence, a sword soul cannot be forged, and without the sword soul, the twin swords are incomplete.

Without them, that vision cannot be realized.

This matter cannot be rushed; it must be done step by step. Hun Tiandi left the purple flame thunder bead in the Nether Small World to temper the twin swords, which served as the foundation for forging the swords.

"When will Mei Niang wake up?" Hun Tiandi stood up and walked toward the Yin Yang Pool.

His gaze fell upon Mei Niang, who was enveloped by the innate sacred flower. As the power of Yin Yang creation poured in, her aura became increasingly steady.

Everything was developing in a positive direction.

Sigh...

Hun Tiandi sighed. With a thought, he left the Nether Small World, but as he departed, he failed to notice Mei Niang, who was wrapped in the innate sacred flower.

She trembled slightly, then fell back into silence.

He appeared in the bamboo house and walked out into the valley.

Looking at Liu Ling and Qing Yue, he smiled and said, "Pack up, it's time to leave!"

"Yes, Your Majesty! Yes, Young Master!" the two replied with smiles.

Then, Hun Tiandi walked into the bamboo house and happened to see Hao Meili waking up. Although her aura was extremely weak, she was indeed awake.

"Meili, you're awake?" Hun Tiandi said softly.

"How are you?" Hao Meili asked weakly.

"I'm fine. The Heavenly Poison Lady has already retreated. We are leaving the valley to look for medicinal ingredients to treat your injuries!"

Hun Tiandi smiled.

Hearing this, Hao Meili revealed a faint smile. Her face was as pale as paper, and combined with her silver-white hair, she possessed a sort of sickly beauty.

"Qing Yue, come in!" Hun Tiandi called out.

"Young Master!" Qing Yue replied warmly and walked in lively to help Meili put on her dress!

"Sister Meili, you're awake! Don't worry, Young Master, leave it to Qing Yue!" Qing Yue said happily, her voice like a lark's.

"Thank you," Hao Meili said weakly. Then, she took out a silver-white dress from her storage ring and, with Qing Yue's assistance, put it on and slowly stood up to walk out of the bamboo house.

"Meili, this is the jade token for the valley. I've sealed this place with the Spirit-Devouring Heaven Formation Map; no one can enter without the jade token!"

Hun Tiandi turned his head and looked at the exiting Hao Meili. With a flick of his hand, he took out the jade token from his storage ring and placed it in her hand.

Holding the jade token that was as warm as jade, Hao Meili smiled. This place was where the two had met, so naturally, she didn't want others to enter.

After putting it into her storage ring, Hun Tiandi flicked his finger, and a beam of light shot into the sky. A gap opened in the array map, and with his Dou Qi Wings flickering, he soared toward the sky.

With a wave of his sleeve, Liu Ling wrapped up Hao Meili and Qing Yue, turning into a beam of light to follow closely behind.

They disappeared from the valley, and peace returned once more.

"This is..." After leaving the formation, Hao Meili looked at the drastically changed mountain range in disbelief.

"It's the scene of destruction caused by the battle between His Majesty and the Heavenly Poison Lady, Xiao Yi Xian!"

Liu Ling spoke indifferently.

Hao Meili's expression was complex. She allowed Liu Ling to carry her as they closely followed Hun Tiandi.

They began to fly toward the empire's border. Despite the distance, even with the speed of Hun Tiandi and the others, they only arrived by evening.

On a mountain peak at the border of the Izumo Empire, two streaks of light arrived rapidly, revealing four figures moments later.

"Where are we going?" Hao Meili inquired.

"The Izumo Empire!" Hun Tiandi said calmly. Hao Meili's expression changed; her teacher, who had wanted to devour her source, was a hegemon in the Izumo Empire.

Even the Izumo Empire's imperial family had the shadow of the Poison Sect behind them.

"Poison Masters run rampant in the Izumo Empire; we must be careful in our future actions!" Hao Meili said gravely.

Standing atop the mountain peak, his dark eyes looking at a massive, blurry fortress in the distance, Hun Tiandi reminded Liu Ling and Qing Yue.

"Understood!" The three nodded, and with a flash, they sped toward the distance.

The Izumo Empire!

The territory it governed was not small; it was even more vast than the destroyed Mu Lan Empire and Jia Ma Empire.

However, Poison Masters ran rampant in the Izumo Empire, making it much more chaotic compared to the other two empires.

Poison Masters were the most hated profession on the continent, a source of both love and hate. In other places, like the Jia Ma Empire, it was a profession looked down upon.

But in the Izumo Empire, it flourished exceptionally. In any city, people dressed in Poison Master robes could be seen almost everywhere.

In other empires, it was rare to see the sale of poisonous items.

Such as the common Five Venoms: poisonous snakes, scorpions, toads, lizards...

In this empire, every city had shops specializing in the sale of poisonous creatures or anything related to poison.

They could all be purchased in such places; the stronger the toxicity, the higher the value.

Just like Alchemists, the rarer and more precious the medicinal ingredients, the higher the value...

Furthermore, in the Izumo Empire, the prevailing Dou Qi was Poison Dou Qi, which was many times more common than other attributes.

In other words, the Izumo Empire was dominated by Poison Dou Qi!

Poison Dou Qi was also divided into many types, but they basically all contained lethal poison, developed by cultivators who were obsessed with toxicity.

Or, before cultivating, without being tainted by any attribute of Dou Qi, they would soak in poisonous water refined from various toxic substances.

They would cultivate slowly, letting their bodies adapt, and then merge it with their Dou Qi.

Over time, it would produce the Poison Dou Qi that everyone feared, possessing various effects.

Compared to ordinary attribute Dou Qi, Poison Dou Qi held certain advantages during battle.

However, cultivating Poison Dou Qi did not come without a price. The body would suffer from toxic corrosion, poisonous bubbles would appear on the face, and limbs would wither...

Poison Dou Qi also caused some people to become twisted in nature, killing without mercy.

The order of the Izumo Empire was somewhat chaotic compared to other empires; pursuing extreme power did not come without a price.

On the Fighting Qi Continent, there was a type of flame nurtured by heaven and earth, known as the Heavenly Flame born from the innate world. Its power was extremely terrifying, possessing the strength to destroy heaven and earth.

But since ancient times, how many have successfully subdued a Heavenly Flame?

All perished under the incineration of the violent Heavenly Flames, turning into fly ash. Even those who managed to subdue one by chance were one-in-a-thousand children of fortune.

Poison Dou Qi was the same, as was Hao Meili, who possessed the Ten Thousand Poison Body.

If it could not be made one's own, then the Poison Dou Qi one cultivated would sooner or later consume one's life.

Before the judgment of fate, under the pressure of death, cultivators would become frenzied.

Consequently, this resulted in a cultivation style in the Izumo Empire that was extremely frenzied and perverted.

Speaking of which, there were many more hidden experts in the Izumo Empire than in other empires. These experts generally did not join any factions.

They hid and cultivated individually, solely to completely rid themselves of the erosion of Poison Dou Qi.

The Izumo Empire was a place of poison, but it was also chaotic and dangerous!

However, this chaos was different from the lawless chaos of the Black-Corner Region. Here, it was still controlled by the Izumo Empire's imperial family—at least on the surface.

Additionally, there was another behemoth: the Poison Sect.

It was said that the master of the Poison Sect, the Heavenly Poison Lady, had been in seclusion for a long time, attempting to break through to a higher level of cultivation.

"Jie jie jie, the Fighting Qi Continent... eventually, even the chaotic Black-Corner Region was brought under control. A mere Izumo Empire is only a matter of time!"

Hun Tiandi laughed evilly. The Izumo Empire in the Northwest Continent had long been included in his plan for annexation.

Not even the Poison Sect will be enough!
