420: Chapter 420 The Thousand Poison Demon Lord, Royal Schemes

"Oh? Let this old man have a look!" Poison Emperor showed a hint of interest; this young man was actually asking for his help.

Seeing as the youth had saved his life earlier, he was willing to lend a hand.

The two then stood up and headed to a room in the manor, where Qing Yue happened to be waiting outside.

"Greetings, Young Master, Senior Poison Emperor!" Qing Yue gave a slight bow.

Hun Tiandi offered a small smile and waved his hand. Behind him, Poison Emperor took a deep look at Qing Yue, a glint flashing in his eyes.

He then nodded and entered Hao Meili's room.

Hao Meili, pale and extremely weak, was lying on the bed resting with her eyes closed. Hearing a sound, she slowly opened them.

"Meili, this is Senior Poison Emperor. He is an expert in the use of poison. Your injuries require the Senior to take a look!"

Hun Tiandi said softly.

Hao Meili didn't speak, but instead turned her gaze toward Poison Emperor. Although she had never heard of him, she trusted that Hun Tiandi would not harm her.

"I trouble you, Senior," Hao Meili said weakly.

Poison Emperor placed his fingers on her fair wrist, and a wisp of poisonous Dou Qi invaded her body, traveling through every part of her. After the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, he suddenly opened his eyes.

"How is this possible? To think such a terrifying constitution still exists on the Fighting Qi Continent!"

Poison Emperor said in shock. He stared sharply at Hao Meili for a long time before turning to leave the room.

Hun Tiandi comforted her, "Meili, you rest first. I will find a way to heal you!"

Hao Meili nodded.

In the pavilion outside the room, Poison Emperor drank Spirit Wine, looking as though he had not yet recovered from his previous shock.

"Senior, is there a way to save Meili's injuries?" Hun Tiandi inquired.

"Boy, do you know the terror of the Ten Thousand Poison Body?" Poison Emperor asked solemnly, his gaze sharpening as he looked at Hun Tiandi.

"Naturally!" Hun Tiandi said indifferently.

"Ten Thousand Poison Body? An injury to the origin... could this be the will of heaven?" Poison Emperor slowly raised his head to look at the sky and whispered.

"Hun Tiandi, do you know why the Poison Sect is hunting me?"

"According to what you said, Senior, it's because the Poison Sect learned you have the inheritance of a powerhouse, which brought about this deathly peril," Hun Tiandi said, puzzled.

"Correct!" Poison Emperor stood up with his wine cup, his gaze deep. "I obtained the inheritance of a powerhouse—or more accurately, a map to find the inheritance of a powerhouse."

"A thousand years ago on the Fighting Qi Continent, there appeared a poison master with formidable cultivation and transcendent talent. In just twenty short years, he cultivated to the peak of the continent."

"This person's name was: Demon Lord Qiandu. He was the possessor of the Thousand Poison Body and left behind a legacy."

"If one wishes to repair the origin, this is the only possible way."

"That young lady's origin injury might be resolved within the inheritance of Demon Lord Qiandu!"

"I am not certain, however. You will need to go and find it yourselves!" Poison Emperor said solemnly.

"Really?" Hun Tiandi suddenly stood up, looking excited upon hearing there was a way to resolve the origin injury on Hao Meili's body.

Although the pills in the alchemy canon could also compensate for her injury, he was not confident he could find those three precious and rare medicinal herbs.

Now that he had learned the location of Demon Lord Qiandu's inheritance, with two paths to take, the chances of a cure became much greater.

Whew!

Hun Tiandi took a deep breath and said seriously, "Senior, please state your conditions!"

"Hahaha, a straightforward man indeed. I can give you the map to Demon Lord Qiandu's ruins. This old man has only one condition: in the future, if Xin'er encounters a life-threatening danger, you must do everything in your power to save her life!"

"Is it that simple?" Hun Tiandi asked, puzzled.

"It is simple for you. Xin'er is young and her character is not yet fully formed. Although she has a special constitution, there's no guarantee she won't be targeted in the future. This old man is simply leaving a fallback for the child in advance!"

When Poison Emperor spoke of Tian Xin, a kind look appeared in his eyes.

Just as Hun Tiandi was about to raise his hand to swear an oath, Poison Emperor interrupted him and said indifferently, "An Emperor's promise is worth a thousand pieces of gold. This old man trusts you!"

"Rest assured, Senior!" Hun Tiandi took a deep breath and said solemnly.

He cultivated the Path of the Emperor. This path never made promises lightly; a King's word was as heavy as a tripod, and an Emperor's promise was worth a thousand gold!

Poison Emperor flipped his hand and took a wooden box from his storage ring. It was very ordinary. Once opened, it revealed a map made of some unknown hide.

It was presented before them. When unfolded, mountains, rivers, vegetation... a route pointed toward a mysterious direction.

"Central Plains?" Hun Tiandi said with a solemn expression. It seemed this trip to the Central Plains could not be avoided.

"Thank you, Senior!" He placed the map into his storage ring and gave a slight bow.

Poison Emperor waved his hand and said, "I've given you the opportunity. As for whether you can find it and heal that young lady, that will depend on your luck!"

"Boy, I'm leaving to find my dear disciple!"

Drinking his Spirit Wine, he walked out of the manor, left Tiandu City, and flew toward the borders of the Izumo Empire.

The Imperial City of the Izumo Empire!

A massive city decorated magnificently. Above it was a golden expanse; the sea of Providence clouds was like the sun in the nine heavens, illuminating the world brightly.

Within the sea of clouds, there was a True Dragon of Providence, looking ferocious as it coiled within. Its eyes were closed, yet it exuded a vast aura.

It breathed the Providence in and out, a truly magnificent sight.

In the Imperial Great Hall, a man of great stature wore the Nine Dragon Cloud Mist Robe and the Pingtian Crown. His hands rested on the armrests like dragon claws.

"Reporting to the Emperor: according to information from our scouts, a battle occurred in the Deep Forest Mountain Range a few days ago. The aura of the Poison Sect Master was present at the scene, along with another unknown stranger's aura. A crater a hundred thousand feet wide was formed; the terrifying clash destroyed everything!"

In the center of the hall, a man dressed in official robes spoke respectfully.

"Oh? Do we know if the Poison Sect Master was injured?" the Emperor of Chuyun asked majestically.

"Unknown. The Poison Sect is heavily guarded; it is difficult for ordinary people to infiltrate!" the official replied.

The ruler of a Kingdom is called a King; the ruler of an Imperial Court is called an Imperial Lord; the ruler of an Empire is called an Emperor; and the ruler of a Heavenly Court is called His Majesty!

"Reporting to the Emperor: today in Tiandu City, someone wiped out six Great Elders of the Poison Sect. The methods were cruel. One person released a deep blue flame that froze an Elder to death, while the remaining five Elders were all killed by followers!"

"Even their soul bodies were collected into a strange banner..." the official spoke again.

"Go, investigate the origins of those people!" the Emperor of Chuyun said indifferently.

"Yes, Emperor!" The official returned to the ranks.

"If there is business, speak; if not, the court is dismissed!" the eunuch beside him shouted.

"Long live the Emperor, long live, long live!" the officials said respectfully before slowly withdrawing.

Only one person remained in the hall, dressed in armor, looking heroic and extraordinary. His body exuded a pressing baleful aura and his eyes were sharp—clearly a General who had spent a long time on the battlefield.

"Imperial Brother?" The General was interrupted by the Emperor of Chuyun as he began to speak.

With a wave of his sleeve, the hall's formation was activated. Then, the Emperor of Chuyun spoke: "That Poison Sect Master should be in secluded cultivation due to injuries..."

"Imperial Brother, then that opportunity, is it...?" the General said coldly.

"No. We have planned for so long; without the certainty of a killing blow, do not move against her. You know all too well how terrifying the Calamity Poison Body is!"

The Emperor of Chuyun said coldly. The Poison Sect's power was immense, a sword hanging over the Imperial Family; to uproot it required great strength.

One-third of the Izumo Empire's power was under the control of the Poison Sect.

"Pulling a single hair moves the whole body; we must be careful!" the General said solemnly.

The Chuyun Imperial Family had long observed the Poison Sect's tyranny and grown impatient. To see the sunlight, they needed to disperse the poisonous mist and exterminate the poisonous creatures, only then using a sharp sword to carve out the light.
