127: Zombie Horde 2

Crisis at the Azure Dragon Base

Inside the Azure Dragon Base, Leader Zhu Yeqing stood on the command platform, calmly directing the battle.

His gaze revealed composure and calmness, as if everything was under his control.

"Archers, fire!"

Zhu Yeqing ordered loudly.

Instantly, countless sharp arrows rained down upon the zombie horde; many zombies were struck and fell to the ground.

The arrows whistled through the air, piercing the bodies of the zombies.

However, the zombies were not repelled.

They continued to charge madly toward the base, quickly breaking through the defensive line and rushing into the interior.

Their speed was extreme, like a black whirlwind.

"Melee troops, advance!"

Seeing this, Zhu Yeqing immediately issued a new order.

A group of soldiers wielding sharp blades charged forward, engaging the zombies in intense close-quarters combat.

Their faces were full of fighting spirit, and they swung their weapons with great force.

Zhu Yeqing knew deeply that relying solely on these soldiers' strength would make it difficult to withstand the zombies' attack.

He decided to intervene personally.

He muttered incantations, his hands quickly forming seals, his face showing a focused expression.

In an instant, a burst of black energy surged from his hands, sweeping toward the zombie horde.

This was Zhu Yeqing's Death Coil technique.

The zombies entangled by the black energy became sluggish and eventually collapsed to the ground.

The black energy, like black snakes, tightly coiled around the zombies' bodies.

Zhu Yeqing then unleashed his Flying Snakes in the Sky technique; black flying snakes surged from his hands, pouncing on the zombies and tearing them to shreds.

The flying snakes, carrying a sharp whistling sound, pierced the zombies' bodies.

Under Zhu Yeqing's powerful offensive, the zombies' attack was temporarily contained.

However, Zhu Yeqing's expression was very grave.

He knew this was only a temporary victory; there were too many zombies, and their crisis had not been resolved.

He looked into the distance, silently praying for reinforcements to arrive.

The Crisis at Bright Moon Villa

The zombie tide rolled toward Boss Yang Chunlai's Bright Moon Villa like a surging ocean wave.

This once tranquil and beautiful villa was now facing an unprecedented crisis.

Outside the villa, the open ground was covered with various defensive obstacles: spikes, traps, and barbed wire, densely packed like a steel jungle.

These obstacles were the villa's first line of defense, meticulously set up by Yang Chunlai and his subordinates to halt the zombies' advance.

Every spike glinted with cold light, and every trap hid a deadly danger.

Surrounded by a pack of black wolves, a giant wolf walked over.

Sitting on top of it was the Zombie Emperor Bei.

This was the emperor of the zombies and its mount.

Suddenly, the Zombie Emperor Bei let out a sharp howl.

"Awoooo—"

As if hearing the order, the zombies swarmed forward, rushing recklessly toward the obstacles.

Sharp spikes pierced their bodies, traps caused them to fall one after another, and barbed wire tore through their flesh.

However, the zombies showed no fear or retreat; as if they felt no pain, they surged forward one after another.

Their bodies were impaled by spikes, and black blood stained the ground, but they still did not stop.

Hundreds of zombies were hung up on the obstacles, while more zombies trampled over them to continue advancing.

After paying a heavy price, the zombies finally broke through the obstacles on the open ground and arrived at the villa's front gate.

The gate was made of thick steel and was incredibly sturdy.

The zombies frantically rammed against the gate, creating dull thuds.

Their strength was immense; every impact made the gate tremble violently.

The sound of the impacts echoed in the air like muffled thunder.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The banging continued, sounding like a countdown to death.

Although the gate was sturdy, it began to shake under such violent impacts.

"Oh no, the gate can't hold much longer!"

A guard shouted anxiously, his voice trembling and his eyes filled with fear.

Zhu Yunque and Jing Hua stood on the city gate.

The beauties of the Black Tortoise Hall led by Zhu Yunque had all stationed themselves at Bright Moon Villa to guard its safety.

"Don't be afraid! The zombies can't get in!" Zhu Yunque said.

Big Brother Yang Chunlai had given instructions that the zombies could not break through this steel gate.

Jing Hua wondered: "At such a critical moment, where had Big Brother gone?"

Just then, the zombies seemed to realize that ramming the gate wasn't working.

They began to change tactics, using a human wave tactic to stack themselves up.

Zombies climbed on top of one another, piling up layer by layer as they scaled the villa's wall.

Their figures formed a black wave against the wall.

"Fire arrows, stop them!" Zhu Yunque ordered loudly.

The sisters of the Vermilion Bird Hall flew into the sky and fired sharp arrows.

Instantly, countless sharp arrows were fired at the zombie horde.

The arrows struck the zombies, causing them to tumble down, but they still did not stop their advance.

There were simply too many zombies; the arrows could not stop their climbing at all.

The beauties resisting on the wall also took up swords and blades to hack at the zombies climbing up.

Seeing the zombies about to climb onto the wall, Zhu Yunque was anxious.

Jing Hua quickly shouted: "Sister Zhu, didn't Big Brother Yang give you a bamboo flute and say that at the critical moment, you should play it?"

Zhu Yunque suddenly realized and laughed: "How did I forget about this?"

She took out the bamboo flute and began to play it with a mournful sound.

With Zhu Yunque's profound spiritual power, the sound of the flute carried for hundreds of miles.

Everyone was puzzled, not knowing what use playing the bamboo flute had.

But then, with a loud boom.

The steel gate opened automatically.

A fresh force charged out from inside the gate—thousands of zombies.

It turned out these were the zombies controlled by Big Brother using the Soul manipulation technique.

The zombies charged outward, engaging in a great battle with the zombie tide outside.

The city gate became chaotic.

The zombies trying to climb the wall, now under attack, turned to deal with the zombies rushing out from the gate.

The sisters of the Black Tortoise Hall, whose morale had been low, were now suddenly boosted and rejoined the battle.

"Sisters, for our home, for our loved ones, let's fight!"

Zhu Yunque let out an earth-shattering roar.

Everyone responded, gripping their weapons, their eyes revealing determination and resolve.

Their faces were full of fighting spirit, and their weapons glinted with cold light.

A battle of life and death was about to unfold at Bright Moon Villa.

Below the wall of Bright Moon Villa, the zombies surged like a tide; their figures were densely packed, with no end in sight.

Those zombies that had climbed the wall by stacking up had already engaged in intense close-quarters combat with the guards.

The zombies lunged at the guards with claws and fangs, while the guards swung their weapons, resisting desperately.

The guards swung their weapons, resisting bravely.

Their faces were covered in sweat and blood, but there was no fear in their eyes.

Their weapons collided with the zombies' bodies, making crisp sounds.

However, the number of zombies was simply too great, and the guards gradually fell into a predicament.

The Zombie Emperor Bei grew impatient; how could such a small, broken city not be taken down after so long?

So, it let out a shrill cry toward the bright moon in the sky.

Zhu Yunque had just shot and killed a Giant Zombie that was leading the charge.

Jing Hua used her sword to kill a giant wolf that was about to climb onto the wall.

Suddenly, a dinosaur darted out from the rear.

Holy crap, it was actually a creature like a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex was ten times the size of an elephant.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex ran wildly along the way.

Kicking up a trail of dust on the ground.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex didn't care at all whether the zombies fighting on the ground were on its side or the enemy's side.

As long as they were in its way, it trampled them to death.

Leaving a trail of zombie corpses on the ground.

"Boom!"

The Tyrannosaurus Rex charged all the way and slammed directly into the steel gate.

The steel gate trembled, dust falling constantly.

The giant screws securing it on all four sides loosened.

With the Tyrannosaurus Rex's second impact, a few screws fell off the steel gate.

Zhu Yunque exclaimed in surprise: "Oh no, Sister Jing Hua, this Tyrannosaurus Rex is too powerful; I'm afraid we can't defeat it..."
