98: Monsters in the air raid shelter

"A place where we can enjoy ourselves?"

The women didn't know what "enjoy ourselves" meant.

Xiao Ying told everyone, "Hehe, it's definitely much better than here. There's food, clothing, safety, and freedom."

Xiao Zhu and the other beauties realized they had misunderstood.

So that's the kind of enjoyment she meant!

The Little Security Guard loaded the beauties onto the RV and set fire to the Liu Family villa complex.

The RV slowly drove away, with a mountain-like fire behind it, and the surviving zombies wailing in the flames.

Auntie Xiao Zhu said in surprise, "A day in the cave is a thousand years in the world."

"I never imagined that the outside world had already become a world of zombies."

"My family, I fear, have mostly likely perished in the mouths of zombies."

Thinking about the days to come, the women felt uneasy.

Yang Chunlai smiled and said, "Ladies, please do not worry. With me here, I will certainly ensure your safety."

Remembering the Big Brother's astonishing combat power, the women finally felt at ease.

The RV was once again filled with a cheerful atmosphere.

Infinite spring scenery.

Full of spring spirit.

"Everyone, look! A rat!"

Xiao Ying suddenly pointed outside the window.

Hey!

"What's the big deal about a rat? Who hasn't seen a rat before?"

Xiao Ying stuttered, "No, have you ever seen a rat this big?"

Following the direction Xiao Ying was pointing, everyone was stunned.

Holy crap!

This rat is almost as big as a piglet!

"Crack!"

With two or three bites, the giant rat bit a huge hole into a wall in the ruins.

The women were all amazed!

When did rats become so big and powerful?

Yang Chunlai frowned: The world is changing too fast!

The outside world is full of instability!

He needed to quickly improve his strength and take precautions before it was too late!

Although Yang Chunlai appeared calm and indifferent on the surface, his heart was always filled with a sense of crisis!

This was also the reason he was able to survive in this chaotic world.

Just as this "piglet" was about to crawl into the wall, a few zombies lunged out from the side.

Two zombies, each grabbing one of the giant rat's legs.

The giant rat struggled to crawl inside, while the two zombies pulled desperately outwards.

The two sides were actually evenly matched.

A Giant Zombie shook its head, walked over, and grabbed the giant rat's tail.

With the combined strength of the three, they dragged the giant rat out.

The giant rat struggled and bit off the ear of one of the zombies.

Gurgling black blood poured out.

But since zombies are already dead, it didn't affect it at all.

The Giant Zombie grabbed the giant rat by the neck and choked it until it fainted.

Hearing the sound of the vehicle, the few zombies looked over and saw Yang Chunlai and the women behind the glass.

The women shuddered in fear and took a few steps back.

Only Yang Chunlai's face remained as calm as a placid lake, looking with contempt at the Giant Zombie's fierce gaze.

Yang Chunlai was curious; these zombies were different. After catching the giant rat, they didn't fight over it or eat it, but choked it unconscious.

Could it be that the zombies have already overcome their instinct to feed?

Have the zombies evolved again?

The Giant Zombie pointed at the RV: "Awoo—"

A howl.

The few zombies under its command all came running wildly.

Yang Chunlai activated the RV's intelligent System, and the RV switched to autopilot.

How could those with two legs outrun those with four wheels?

In just a few minutes, they left the zombies far behind.

Watching the dust kicked up by the departing RV, the zombies howled in anger.

Yang Chunlai was curious about what these zombies were all about.

No, he had to investigate.

He activated the surveillance System in his brain, and an eagle resting on the RV flew towards the zombie squad.

The surveillance footage from the eagle's eyes was immediately transmitted back to his mind.

The giant was holding the unconscious giant rat.

The zombie squad headed towards the mountains in the suburbs.

In the hidden mountains, amidst layers of dense grass, there was a concealed cave entrance with "Changning City No. 2 Air-Raid Shelter" written on it.

Yang Chunlai thought to himself: So these guys are hiding here.

The Changning City No. 2 Air-Raid Shelter, I heard it was dug decades ago.

To guard against bombing raids from hostile foreign forces, Changning City dug several Air Raid Shelters back then. Later, when the period of peaceful construction began, these Air Raid Shelters were decommissioned.

I didn't expect them to become the home base for these zombies now.

Two zombies were guarding the entrance and saw the huge giant rat in the Giant Zombie's hand.

The guard zombies drooled with greed.

Just as they were about to snatch it, the Giant Zombie punched one, knocking out a few of its teeth.

The Giant Zombie pointed at the giant rat, then pointed inside the cave.

The guard zombie was so scared it quickly backed off, not daring to snatch it again.

Yang Chunlai originally thought it wasn't very interesting and was about to recall the eagle.

Seeing the Giant Zombie's action, he thought: Could it be that this giant rat is meant to be offered to some higher-Rank monster?

Yang Chunlai controlled the eagle to continue following.

The Giant Zombie led the zombie squad into the Air Raid Shelter.

The eagle flew silently over the heads of the guard zombies and entered the dark tunnel.

"Whoosh, whoosh..."

A flock of bats swarmed out.

They almost collided with the eagle.

This was the bats' home turf.

But the eagle had the blessing of Yang Chunlai's Qi, so it wasn't afraid.

With a gentle flap of its wings, a few bats fell down as if they had been electrocuted.

They happened to land right in front of the zombie squad.

A zombie quickly picked one up and bit off the bat's wing in one bite.

The bat wasn't dead yet and let out a strange cry.

The other zombies also picked up the bats on the ground and began to feast.

As they went deeper into the cave, the view inside became darker and darker.

Fortunately, the eagle had night vision, and the surveillance footage gradually switched to night vision mode.

The scenes that others would find pitch black in the cave could be roughly seen on the monitor.

It was equivalent to having 35% transparency enabled in full black mode.

The tunnel was packed with zombies.

The Giant Zombie had to push through the dense crowd of corpses.

Occasionally, when a zombie blocked the way, the Giant Zombie would simply punch it down.

The surrounding zombies would then quickly clear a path.

After walking for half an hour, they arrived at a location.

Both sides were packed with zombies, swarming everywhere.

With so many zombies, there wasn't a single sound to be heard.

The entire hall was deathly silent, appearing extremely eerie.

Behind the hall, there was a platform surrounded by a circle of Giant Zombies, all of them big guys over 2 meters tall.

They looked like the imperial guards around an emperor.

Right in the center stood an emperor's throne.

The surveillance footage zoomed in on the Dragon throne.

It was a sandalwood chair, with nine flying Dragons carved into the backrest, and a precious pearl in the center.

Holy crap, isn't this the Dragon throne that was lost from the museum?

I heard it had been missing for a long time!

To think it was found here?

Yang Chunlai said to himself.

What kind of monster could sit on this Dragon throne?

A Giant Zombie wolf walked out from the cave behind, and quietly lay down in front of the Dragon throne.

Its black fur was bristling all over.

The wolf, originally full of wildness, now obediently laid its body across the front of the Dragon throne, acting as a footstool for its boss.

Yang Chunlai thought: Holy crap, that's quite the display!

Training a giant wolf to be your mount.

It seems this king must also be a formidable character!

Just as he was thinking this, an "Awoo" sound came from the cave.

The monitoring eagle shuddered and stumbled as it fled back.

Yang Chunlai was too far away to control the bird.

Yang Chunlai was curious: What kind of monster is it, really?
