130: Chapter 130 Changing from Nightclothes to Nightgown

Moonlight spilled over the two of them, the silvery-white light covering the Savage Beast vest and the dark purple night clothes, blanketing every inch of the Savage Beast Forest.

Wang Sheng stopped in the moonlight with Liu Ruyan on his back. Golden spiritual power flowed slowly within his body, and his heartbeat was clear and rapid amidst the silver of the moonlight.

"Liu Ruyan, you are not my shadow."

Her breathing hitched for a moment.

"A shadow wouldn't get injured blocking a blade for me. A shadow wouldn't stand in front when my spiritual power is exhausted. A shadow wouldn't make my heart race."

His voice was deep and steady in the moonlight, the quietest yet most steadfast light in the wilderness.

"You are not a shadow. You are... the person I want to protect."

Tears welled up in Liu Ruyan's smoky, mist-like eyes in the moonlight, the silver light reflecting in them like two clear stars.

She didn't speak, simply resting her face gently against his shoulder. Her tears silently seeped into the fabric of his Savage Beast vest, warm and quiet.

Her slender waist trembled slightly on his back, and her full curves pressed against his spine, rising and falling with each breath. Her rounded, firm buttocks rested against his lower back, the soft sensation rising and falling quietly in the silvery-white moonlight.

Beneath the moonlight, the shadows of the Savage Beast Forest flowed slowly beside them.

The sound of the flowing Lingxi River grew clearer in the distance. Wang Sheng continued forward with Liu Ruyan on his back, his pace steady and powerful in the moonlight.

His heart was still beating faster than usual. But the weight of her leaning on his back made that heart beat more steadily than ever before.

The moonlight of the Savage Beast Forest flowed beside them for who knows how long.

The sound of the Lingxi River grew closer and closer. The spirit fields of the Bright Tribe emitted a faint green light of Nature in the moonlight, and in Su Mengyao's Spirit Garden, the moonlight rose bloomed quietly under the silvery-white moonlight, the dew on its petals shimmering with a gentle light.

The shadows of the Savage Beast Forest gradually receded at the edge of the spirit fields, replaced by the spirit lamps of the Bright Tribe and the warm yellow light shining from the Savage Beast skin tents.

"We're here." Wang Sheng's voice was deep and steady in the moonlight.

Liu Ruyan didn't reply, only pressing her face tighter against his shoulder.

Her warm, even breath brushed against the side of his neck, and her slender fingers gripped the corner of his clothes on his chest, as if afraid he would set her down the next second.

The exposed skin of her right shoulder rubbed against his shoulder through the thin clothing, the warm sensation leaving a faint heat on the Savage Beast skin.

When the walls of the Bright Tribe appeared in the moonlight at the end of the Savage Beast Forest, the archer on night watch on the North Gate wall saw a scene in the moonlight that made it impossible to look away.

Wang Sheng's Savage Beast vest was as steady as iron in the moonlight, while Liu Ruyan's night clothes were as soft as smoke. She leaned gently on his back, her slender waist pressed against his spine, and her full curves were faintly visible beneath the dark purple night clothes. The dark purple beauty and the golden hero intertwined in the moonlight to form the quietest of paintings.

"Open the gateβ€”"

The Savage Beast skin drawbridge at the North Gate lowered slowly in the moonlight, the sound of the Lingxi River becoming clearer amidst the sound of the drawbridge's iron chains.

The spirit lamps on the city wall emitted a warm yellow light in the moonlight, the Bright Tribe's Savage Beast skin tents were arranged quietly in the moonlight, the top of the cultivation tower flickered with a faint golden spiritual light, and the magnificent silhouette of the Chiefs Tent stood steady and solemn in the moonlight.

In the spirit fields, Su Mengyao's Power of Nature emitted a faint green light in the moonlight, the dew on the petals of the moonlight rose shimmered in the moonlight, and the Spirit Garden bloomed quietly in the moonlight.

The breathing of the Savage Beasts in the stables rose and fell in the moonlight, and the weapons and equipment of the Holy Light Cavalry in the barracks were arranged neatly in the moonlight.

Everything was quiet. Everything was sleeping in the moonlight. Only the spirit lamp at the entrance of the Chiefs Tent was still lit in the moonlight.

Shen Xun'er was waiting for him at the entrance of the Chiefs Tent. In the Moonlight Priestess's moist, almond-shaped eyes was gentleness and understanding, like the calm yet gentle water of the Lingxi River under the moonlight.

She watched Wang Sheng carry Liu Ruyan into the Chiefs Tent, watching the unprecedented light in Liu Ruyan's watery eyes; the quiet star in the shadows had finally been illuminated by the moonlight.

"The Shadow Residue burn on your right shoulder." She walked over to Liu Ruyan, her fingers gently touching the shallow scar exposed at the tear on the right shoulder of the night clothes.

"Hua Jieyu has already prepared the Shadow Residue purification potion; I will help you apply it first."

She led Liu Ruyan into the inner chamber and untied the temporary bandage on the right shoulder of the night clothes. The night clothes were gently pushed aside from the right shoulder, and the fair skin and the shallow Shadow Residue burn scar were clearly visible in the warm yellow light of the spirit lamp.

The Shadow Residue purification potion formulated by Hua Jieyu was applied to the shallow burn scar. The dark purple potion slowly seeped into the fair skin, and Liu Ruyan's shoulder tensed slightly, but she made no sound.

Her beautiful eyes were slightly closed, her eyelashes fluttering gently in the light of the spirit lamp. The Shadow Residue burn scar on her fair right shoulder wound from the shoulder down to the snow-white skin below her collarbone, then extended along the inside of her upper arm. The warm yellow light of the spirit lamp illuminated the scar, making it look exceptionally mysterious.

Shen Xun'er's fingers gently applied the potion to the fair skin of her right shoulder, the Shadow Residue burn scar gradually fading in the potion, and the fair skin regained a healthy luster under the effect of the potion.

While Shen Xun'er was applying the medicine for Liu Ruyan, a flash of silent amusement flickered in the Moonlight Priestess's moist, almond-shaped eyes.

"You have fully recovered. Tonight... if you want to find Wang Sheng, seize the opportunity." Her voice was gentle but knowing, illuminating everything like moonlight.

Liu Ruyan's smoky, mist-like eyes trembled slightly, her fingers subconsciously gripping the cuffs of her night clothes.

Shen Xun'er reached out and gently held Liu Ruyan's hand; the moonlight grasped the gentlest boundary of the shadow. The Moonlight Priestess's hand was warm and strong, the temperature of her palm transmitting through Liu Ruyan's slightly cool fingers to her own palm.

"The East Chamber has been tidied up." Her voice was gentle and calm, illuminating everything like the moonlight of the main palace. "Ruyan, tonight he belongs to you."

When Shen Xun'er turned to walk out of the inner chamber, she paused at the doorway. A trace of tenderness that only she understood flashed in the Moonlight Priestess's moist, almond-shaped eyes; it was the tenderness of the main palace, and the calmness and generosity already tempered by six times of taking the initiative to send her husband to another woman.

She didn't look back, only saying softly: "Take off the night clothes and put on the moon-white nightgown I placed on the couch. It's Savage Beast silk; he likes that color."

The inner chamber fell silent. Liu Ruyan watched Shen Xun'er's back disappear behind the door, the Moonlight Priestess's silvery-white hair flowing silently in the silvery-white moonlight. Her fingers gripped the cuffs of the night clothes, her knuckles turning slightly white, and then she slowly loosened them.

When Liu Ruyan stood in the center of the East Chamber, moonlight spilled in from the window, covering the Savage Beast skin floor in silvery-white. She slowly took off the night clothes. The dark purple Savage Beast silk slid off her shoulders, the night clothes shedding their hardest armor.

The clothing left her fair skin inch by inch, sliding over the shallow Shadow Residue burn scar on her right shoulder, sliding over her delicate collarbones, sliding over the curve of her waist, and finally landing at her ankles as a puddle of dark purple silk.

Without the dark purple constraints, the moonlight washed over her body like water. Liu Ruyan's figure was the type that men would remember at a single glance. Her slender waist was small enough to be encircled by a hand, bending in the night breeze like a willow branch in the most elegant arc, but the curves on her chest were incredibly full and upright, making it hard to believe that such a slender waist could support such proud curves.

Her fair skin glowed with a pale silver light in the moonlight, her delicate collarbones appearing and disappearing in the silvery-white moonlight, and the snow-white skin below her collarbone, shrouded in moonlight, looked like exquisite white porcelain, radiating the softest luster after being soaked in moonlight.

The curves were upright and full, the arc of the upper edge rising and falling slightly in the moonlight, and the alluring silhouette was clear and proud in the silvery-white moonlight. The full arc stretched outwards from below the collarbone and then tightened inwards, the fullest part even exceeding the capacity of a palm, forcing the moonlight to detour around the peaks, casting faint shadows on both sides of the arc.
