33: Chapter 33 Su Mengyao's Garden

Three days after the Myriad Races Market ended, Su Mengyao did something that no one expected.

On the banks of the Lingxi River to the west of the camp, she cultivated a Spirit Garden.

To call it a "Spirit Garden" was actually too modest. It was clearly a small savage botanical garden, spreading along the winding banks of the Lingxi River.

Covering an area of over three mu, it was enclosed by a verdant fence of savage vines, which Su Mengyao had forced to grow using the Power of Nature.

Inside the fence, dozens of types of savage spirit flowers and herbs were arranged in rows according to a precise layout.

They extended from the high banks down to the low-lying areas by the water, clearly layered like a tapestry spread across the earth.

When the news spread, Wang Sheng was in the Chiefs Tent discussing resource planning for the tribe's upgrade with Shen Xun'er and Heavenly Strategist Shangguan Xuan.

Su Mengyao had come on her own. She stood outside the tent curtain, her emerald green hair cascading over her shoulders like a waterfall in the morning light, her jade-colored eyes as bright as a spring lake.

Her porcelain-like face had a faint green tint, and her cheeks were slightly flushed with excitement, like the first flower bud blooming in spring.

"Wang Sheng!" Her voice was gentle but couldn't hide her joy. "Come quickly! My garden has bloomed!"

Wang Sheng put down the resource list in his hand and glanced at Shen Xun'er. Her almond-shaped eyes curved, like two warm crescent moons, and she gently pushed him.

"Go on. Mengyao has been getting up before dawn these past few days to tend to the garden, even more attentively than she tends to the spirit fields."

"Aren't you coming?"

"I'm going to check on the spirit potatoes in the spirit fields; I'll go later." Shen Xun'er smiled, her almond eyes full of the composure and magnanimity of a main wife.

She could tell that Su Mengyao wanted to show Wang Sheng her garden alone.

She knew better than anyone the little thoughts hidden within that excitement.

Wang Sheng followed Su Mengyao out of the Chiefs Tent, crossed the central clearing of the camp, and walked west along the Lingxi River.

The morning light spilled through the ancient savage trees in the east, covering the path along the riverbank in spots of broken golden light.

The Lingxi River shimmered with broken silver light in the morning sun; the water was crystal clear, and occasionally, one could see spirit fish darting among the water weeds.

Su Mengyao walked in front, her steps as light as a little deer leaping through a field of flowers.

She was wearing a light green long dress; the fabric was woven by Pei Yanzhi using savage spirit silk, soft as gauze, clinging to her skin, and fluttering slightly in the morning breeze.

The dress had a round neckline, revealing her porcelain-like slender neck and delicate collarbones.

Below her collarbones was the skin unique to a Nature Druid, faintly tinged with a soft green, like white jade moistened by morning dew.

Her figure was of the kind of plump, soft, and supple beauty that made it impossible for one to look away.

It was not the tall, slender elegance of Frost Mage Lin Shiyun, not the willow-like slenderness of Liu Ruyan, and not the toned, powerful physique of Murong Xue.

Instead, it was a natural, fertile beauty, like that of the earth itself.

Her waist was as soft as a willow branch, but below the waistline, there was a set of intoxicating curves.

Her hips were round and full, like two full moons, stretching the hem of her long dress into a beautiful curve. As she walked, it swayed gently with her steps, each one looking like a silent dance.

The slit in the hem occasionally opened as she took steps, revealing a glimpse of her calf, white and tender as a lotus root, and her slender ankles.

On her feet, she wore a pair of straw-woven sandals, her toes rounded like ten white jade beads.

Her entire body emitted an intoxicating floral fragrance—not the scent of a single flower, but a rich, layered aroma of dozens of savage spirit flowers mixed together.

It was as if the entire garden of spring had been brewed into a pot of wine and then sprinkled upon her.

"We're here!" Su Mengyao stopped in front of the entrance to the verdant fence, turned around, her jade-colored eyes shining like two emerald gemstones lit by the sun. "Look!"

Wang Sheng looked up, and then he was stunned.

He had seen the magnificence of the Savage Beast Forest, the prosperity of the Myriad Races Market, and the silver-blue light dome of the Ancestral Spirit Altar, but he had never seen a scene like this.

The three-plus mu Spirit Garden looked like a palette overturned by God in the morning light.

Dozens of savage spirit flowers were blooming competitively: red as raging flames, blue as the deep sea, purple as the evening clouds, white as the first snow, and gold as sunlight. The petals swayed gently in the morning breeze.

Spirit light flowed among the stamens like stars, and pollen drifted with the morning breeze like golden drizzle. The entire garden was shrouded in a layer of faint, colorful spirit mist, dreamlike and illusory.

The most shocking thing was the spirit flower in the center of the garden—a savage spirit tree over a zhang tall.

Its canopy was like a huge flower umbrella, the branches covered in golden flowers the size of fists.

In the center of each flower was a faintly glowing spirit fruit. The spirit fruits emitted a warm golden light, as if the canopy were hung with tiny suns.

"This is..." Wang Sheng took a few steps closer, his gaze falling on the spirit tree.

"The golden sun flower!" Su Mengyao's voice was full of pride and joy, her jade-colored eyes like two talking gemstones in the light and shadow of the flowers.

"I found the seeds on the outskirts of the Savage Beast Forest. I originally thought they wouldn't grow, but I didn't expect them to sprout after I forced them with the Power of Nature!"

"The golden sun flower is a treasure among savage spirit flowers. Its nectar can be used to refine spirit medicine, and the spirit fruit can be eaten directly to replenish spirit power."

"The trunk and roots can also extract natural essence. A single golden sun flower can equal the output of half a spirit field!"

When she talked about spirit flowers, she was a completely different person. The Nature Druid who was usually gentle as water and spoke in soft whispers, was now beaming with excitement, talking incessantly, her jade-colored eyes sparkling with starlight.

She pulled Wang Sheng by the wrist. Her fingers were slender and fair, her fingertips faintly tinged with natural green, and her palms were warm and soft as cotton.

Walking through the flowers, she introduced him to each one—its variety, habits, and uses. Her voice was like a clear spring hitting stones, as cheerful as the melting streams of spring.

"This is the frost moon orchid. Look at its petals; don't they look like moonlight?"

"Its nectar has a calming effect. If Shen Xun'er's Moonlight Blessing is combined with the nectar of the frost moon orchid, its effect can be increased by ten percent."

"This one is the red flame flower. The two you bought at the Myriad Races Market are also this variety."

"But this one was mutated by my own use of the Power of Nature. Look, the color of the petals is deeper, and the spirit light of the stamens is brighter."

"This means the spirit power content is at least thirty percent higher than those sold at the market."

"And this, the jade heart herb! You spent thirty gold crystals per plant to buy only three at the market."

"But I planted two whole rows in the Spirit Garden! The jade heart herb grown with the Power of Nature has its growth cycle shortened by half."

"Moreover, the medicinal effect is purer. Hua Jieyu said it's better than any jade heart herb she has used before."

"Over here, over here! Look at this." Su Mengyao crouched in front of a cluster of purple spirit flowers, her emerald green hair cascading from her shoulders to the ground like a waterfall, picking up a few petals and morning dew.

She gently lifted the cluster of spirit flowers, her jade-colored eyes full of tenderness—not the tenderness for a person, but for the flowers, like a mother gazing at her own child.

"This is the Nether Wisteria. I found it in the shadow region on the outskirts of the Savage Beast Forest—a very dangerous place."

"But its roots are anchored on a shadow spirit vein, and its nectar has the effect of dispelling shadow spirit power."

"I think... if the Shadow Clan is really monitoring us, the Nether Wisteria might become a weapon to counter shadow spirit power."

Wang Sheng looked at Su Mengyao crouching among the flowers and suddenly felt a bit dazed.

The morning light spilled down from the ancient savage trees on the opposite bank of the Lingxi River, passing through the gaps in the canopy of the golden sun flower, casting mottled light and shadow on her emerald green hair.

The broken golden spots fell on her emerald green hair, which cascaded like a waterfall, as if sprinkling gold powder on a piece of emerald silk; it was as beautiful as a painting that only existed in a dream.

She was crouching in front of the purple spirit flowers.

The hem of her light green long dress spread out on the muddy ground like a blooming lotus leaf, and her plump, soft figure outlined intoxicating curves under the long dress.

Her soft waist, full breasts, and long, fair legs peeked out from the slit of the dress, her ankles stained with a few specks of mud, her calves gleaming like jade in the morning light.

Her body emitted the fragrance of dozens of mixed spirit flowers—not the kind that was intense, pungent, or dizzying,

but gentle, warm, like a spring breeze brushing against his face, as if an invisible pair of hands gently stroked the tip of his nose, making him unconsciously take a deep breath.
