690: An exchange meeting for experts in electronics, electrical appliances, and physics.

Seeing the familiar car not far away, Xiao Niannian walked towards it.

Lu Jing had already gotten out of the car.

"Why are you here?"

Hearing his wife's words, Lu Jing said with a smile.

"The Captain sent me to pick up important supplies."

Hearing his words about important supplies, Xiao Niannian laughed.

"Are they loaded?"

"All loaded."

These important supplies were naturally the new bulletproof vests produced by the Military Factory.

Xiao Niannian not only applied for five for her mother and the others, but she and Lu Jing also had one each.

As for the Special Forces Brigade's bulletproof vests, Captain Chen and the others applied for them according to procedure. The Special Forces Brigade applied for two hundred this time.

Another three hundred will be available once produced.

These bulletproof vests, after half a year of testing, were indeed excellent, and the higher-ups planned to equip them to various Special Forces Brigades and personnel from other departments.

State Security personnel would also be gradually equipped.

After Xiao Niannian returned to the training base, she immediately went to the Womens Team training ground.

The Womens Team members had long been accustomed to their Captain being absent for a few days from time to time. Their training had already been arranged; the squad leaders of the three squads would lead their training, and the Instructors of the First Team would also be arranged to train the Team Members.

Xiao Niannian watched the Team Members conducting parachute training.

In nearly a year, the Womens Team members had reached the strength of ordinary Team Members, and several had excellent results, already approaching the strength of elite Team Members.

Xiao Niannian was very happy, and training would soon be intensified. The Womens Team members needed to become proficient in the training subjects of other military branches.

"Captain Xiao, the Captain wants you to go to the office for a meeting."

Hearing this, Xiao Niannian immediately walked towards the Captain's office.

From afar, she saw Lu Jing, Captain Zhang, and Captain Qi walking over.

"Report."

"Come in."

Xiao Niannian walked in and sat down in her seat.

After everyone sat down, Captain Chen took a sip of tea and looked at the Captains.

"In five days, Yangcheng will host an Experts Exchange Conference... Public Security and State Security comrades are already preparing, and we have been notified to be responsible for the personnel safety and security of this event..."

Experts Exchange Conference? Why hold it in Yangcheng? And why send so many people to protect it?

Xiao Niannian felt some doubts, but she didn't voice them! In the past two or three months, Yangcheng had arrested hundreds of suspicious individuals, killed more than a dozen spies, and some other suspicious people were also under surveillance.

"The Experts this time are in electronics, electrical engineering, and physics. Many of them are university professors..."

Experts in electronics, electrical engineering, and physics?

Xiao Niannian thought of the Experts at the Military Factory. Would these Experts also appear at this Experts Exchange Conference?

Then indeed, even stricter protection was needed. These Experts were extremely precious and could not suffer any losses.

After a meeting of over an hour, Xiao Niannian and the other Captains, including Lu Jing, were assigned tasks.

Xiao Niannian and the Womens Team members' task was to disguise themselves as Guesthouse comrades and be responsible for receiving these Experts.

Simply put, they would be Guesthouse staff responsible for reception and cleaning, while Lu Jing and his team would inspect the guests attending the conference... Xiao Niannian thought of the handheld metal detectors designed earlier.

After Captain Zhang and Captain Qi left, Xiao Niannian looked at Captain Chen.

"Report, Captain, the Military Factory has newly produced a batch of handheld metal detectors, which would be perfect for security checks..."

Hearing Xiao Niannian's words, Captain Chen immediately agreed.

"You go write the report, I'll sign it. Once signed, immediately send someone to the Military Factory..."

"Yes."

Soon, Xiao Niannian finished writing the report.

Captain Chen and Political Commissar Li both signed it after reviewing it.

Captain Chen sent someone to the Military Factory to retrieve twenty handheld metal detectors.

Xiao Niannian and Lu Jing also took some people to the Guesthouse.

This Guesthouse was the city's Guesthouse, and the manager immediately stepped forward to greet the military personnel.

"comrades, you've arrived."

"Please trouble you to train our people for three days so they can learn quickly..."

Xiao Niannian and her subordinates all changed into the Guesthouse's uniform.

They quickly began learning with the Guesthouse comrades.

In less than two hours, the Team Members had learned everything.

The manager and his staff were extremely surprised, not expecting these comrades from the Military Unit to learn so quickly. There were many things to learn.

Meanwhile, Lu Jing and his team had already taken over the Guesthouse and thoroughly inspected it three times.

Not only that, but they would inspect it several times every day from then on.

"Report, Captain Lu, we found a few problematic areas..."

Upon hearing this, Lu Jing immediately led his people over.

Lu Jing and his team modified problematic windows and areas that could be easily breached.

Furthermore, the surrounding area was also carefully inspected.

Three days passed in a flash.

Xiao Niannian led the Team Members, standing in the lobby. There were four exits, each with two detection machines, and they also held handheld metal detectors.

After all personnel entered, their luggage had to be opened and inspected, and they themselves also had to be checked.

Starting in the afternoon, the Guesthouse became lively.

Xiao Niannian led her people, checking the attendees of the conference.

"What are you holding? Why does it make a beeping sound?"

"What is this?"

"What? You want us to open our suitcases? My suitcase contains clothes and books..."

At first, some Experts were unhappy when they heard they had to open their suitcases for inspection, and some felt insulted when they heard they would be searched.

"We are here for a conference, what you are doing is insulting us..."

"You are humiliating us..."

"comrades, the specifications for this conference are very high, please understand..."

"I'm not attending, I'm going back now..."

Hearing someone object, several others also started shouting, and some tried to enter without a security check, but they were all stopped by Lu Jing and his team.

"Please cooperate with our work."

"comrade, please show your invitation and letter of introduction..."

In the crowd, a middle-aged man's face turned flustered, and he turned to run outside.

"Catch him."

Before he could run a few steps, he was pinned down.

"What are you doing?"

"Let me go! I'm a Researcher attending the conference..."

Seeing his panicked appearance, the Team Members immediately took him aside.

Several eavesdropping devices, a few black boxes, and several stacks of money were found on him... "Take him away for thorough interrogation."

Comrade Xiao said.

Comrade Xiao, along with the State Security comrades, also came here.
