94: I learned it in just one morning.

After Xiao Niannian sat in the driver's seat, she immediately replicated everything Squad Leader Li had taught her.

"Is this right?"

Xiao Niannian asked Squad Leader Li.

Squad Leader Li had been in shock, but he snapped out of it when he heard Xiao Niannian's words.

"Yes, yes, yes, absolutely right. Comrade Xiao Niannian, you are truly gifted."

Squad Leader Li hadn't expected Xiao Niannian to be so talented; she had learned everything he taught her in one go.

"Squad Leader Li, then please teach me more. Once I learn to drive a car, I'll go learn to drive a military truck."

"Alright, alright, alright."

By noon, Xiao Niannian was already driving the car around the training ground.

Squad Leader Li looked at Xiao Niannian beside him, and he had only one thought.

Heavens, how many skills have you given Xiao Niannian? Why does she learn everything so easily?

He wasn't jealous; he was just puzzled. Xiao Niannian's driving didn't look like a novice at all; even comrades in the battalion who had been driving for over a year weren't as calm as Xiao Niannian.

"Comrade Xiao, your talent is exceptional. It seems you'll learn many skills in less than ten days." Squad Leader Li felt that having such a disciple would make him wake up smiling from his dreams.

Not far away, many Soldiers learning to drive couldn't help but praise the car that skillfully went uphill and parked in one go.

"Squad Leader Li truly lives up to his reputation as the most capable squad leader in our Automobile Platoon; his skills are top-notch!" The speaker raised a thumb.

"We should learn from Squad Leader Li."

"Now that we've learned to drive cars, it won't be long before we learn to drive big trucks."

"If I learn to drive a big truck, I'll be the first person in our commune to do so."

"My parents cried with joy when they heard I could learn to drive."

After Xiao Niannian parked the car, she asked Squad Leader Li.

"I heard the Military Unit also has armored vehicles, excavators, bulldozers, road rollers, and other vehicles. I want to learn them all."

Hearing Xiao Niannian's words, Squad Leader Li looked at Xiao Niannian in surprise.

"Those are only available at the Division Headquarters; we only have cars and military trucks here."

Oh, she forgot, this was the Automobile Platoon. The equipment here was already among the best in each battalion.

Squad Leader Li continued.

"However, the Special Forces Brigade has many new things. I heard some were bought from abroad and issued to them. If you join the Special Forces Brigade, you'll definitely be able to learn these."

Squad Leader Li was also somewhat surprised that Xiao Niannian knew so many types of vehicles. When they joined the Military Unit, seeing cars and military trucks already felt incredibly impressive.

When they learned to drive, they were also timid and hesitant, afraid of accidentally damaging these valuable big machines. Even if the leaders didn't scold them, they would feel incredibly distressed.

Such expensive things, they absolutely couldn't let them suffer the slightest damage.

Comrade Xiao Niannian's mindset was indeed excellent. He didn't see any fear in Xiao Niannian's heart; she was very smooth and skilled.

"By the way, tomorrow I'll teach you how to repair cars. We are Soldiers; we must not only learn to drive cars but also learn to repair them. Otherwise, if the car breaks down during a mission, we can't just wait for a master mechanic to arrive. In wartime, that could delay important matters..."

"Thank you, Squad Leader Li, I will study hard."

Xiao Niannian had indeed learned about cars from that era, and she could even repair many different car models. Previously, the Special Forces taught them to drive various types of vehicles, and some old, outdated cars. They also taught them to repair these cars from the 70s and 80s. At the time, some comrades-in-arms even said that these cars had been out of production for decades, so what was the point of repairing them?

Unexpectedly, it actually came in handy now.

Because she was now in the Automobile Platoon, she ate with the people from the Automobile Platoon.

In the evening, Xiao Niannian returned to the dormitory.

"Niannian, you're back! I heard you went to the Automobile Platoon."

Zhao You and Cao Huan were very happy.

"Did you go to learn how to drive a car?"

"What did you learn today?"

Hearing their questions, Xiao Niannian said with a smile.

"Today I learned to drive a car."

"I heard learning to drive a car is very difficult. What did you learn today? Is that car very beautiful, like the kind the Great Leader rides in?"

"The car I drove seems to be almost ten years old. But I heard it was repainted last year, so it looks new. However, it still makes some noise when driven..."

"You're already driving it?"

"How does it feel to drive a car?"

"Oh my goodness, Niannian, you've already learned to drive a car?"

Hearing Xiao Niannian's words, they were all shocked.

This was a car! They heard some people take two or three months to learn.

Previously, the fastest person at the Division Headquarters to learn to drive a car still took more than ten days.

"Niannian, did you really drive the car on the road?"

"Not on the road, just on the training ground."

Hearing Xiao Niannian say this, they were still filled with admiration.

They praised Xiao Niannian one after another.

"Stop praising me, if you keep praising me, I'll get arrogant."

"You are just amazing."

"If I were as amazing as you, I'd walk with my chin held high."

"Hahaha, Niannian, don't be so modest."

Squad Leader Xu also praised Xiao Niannian.

"Xiao Nian, although you've been with the company for less than a month, we all know your capabilities. You don't know how envious the squad leaders of other squads are of me for having such a good Soldier."

Xu Jia usually didn't say flattering words. But these days, the Battalion Commander, Company Commander, and Platoon Leader all praised Xiao Niannian, and also praised her, telling her to guide Xiao Niannian well, as she would have a very promising future.

Moreover, the leaders also said that Comrade Xiao Niannian was excellent and helpful, and could also lead their squad to progress together... Squad Leader Xu also wanted to continue serving in the Military Unit. If she could get promoted, that would be best; if not, she could still stay in the Military Unit for eleven years.

With such an outstanding Soldier as Xiao Niannian, she believed she could also learn a lot and her abilities would grow significantly.

Hearing Squad Leader Xu's words, Xiao Niannian thought of Li Le.

The squad leader of the Automobile Platoon today also had the surname Li. He also knew Li Le and told him that Li Le was a good Soldier, whose goal was also to enter the Reconnaissance Battalion. Perhaps Li Le could get promoted, and even if not, if she was selected into the Reconnaissance Battalion in this year's selection, she could at least serve for another seven years, and would be assigned a job after returning home.

So now, many Soldiers in the Military Unit are training desperately, hoping to get promoted.

A Platoon Leader's salary was around thirty-eight yuan, plus many tickets and such. For a Company Commander and Battalion Commander, the salary was even higher.

And if one performed exceptionally and earned many merits, they could continue serving in the Military Unit indefinitely.
