1: Chapter 1 Infinite White Porridge
Ten Thousand Beast Mountain Range.
Winter had arrived, and the blizzard whistled as it swept through the mountain forests, turning the entire range into a scene of silver-clad beauty—thousands of miles frozen in ice, ten thousand miles of drifting snow.
The withered treetops had long been overburdened, the heavy accumulation of snow bending the branches; every time the cold wind blew, they would tremble and shake off a flurry of snow.
Deep within the mountain range, countless towering ancient trees stood tall.
Beneath one of the inconspicuous trees, the snow almost buried a small tree hole, leaving only a narrow slit that faintly revealed a weak breath.
A gust of cold wind blew into the cave through the gap, causing the two little creatures huddled together to shiver involuntarily and huddle even closer.
Su Mo closed his eyes, and while feeling for a non-existent blanket, he mumbled dizzily:
"Who turned the air conditioning down so low? I'm freezing to death... (Note: The protagonist is currently speaking in Fox language; it's not yet time for him to speak human words.)"
But all that reached his ears were a few whimpers similar to those of a puppy.
This sound made him frown.
Since when did we have a dog at home?
After groping for a long time without finding a blanket, he finally opened his eyes.
By the light squeezing through the gap, he discovered that the scene before him was not his familiar home.
Su Mo sat up abruptly, but this movement instantly made him feel that something was wrong.
First of all, he was in a narrow tree hole.
Secondly, looking down, he saw not human arms, but two furry little black paws.
"I've transmigrated?!"
Although he was unwilling to believe it, every scene before his eyes proved that all of this was real.
Su Mo forced himself to calm down and began to recall what had happened before.
He vaguely remembered that he had met with an accident on his way home from a night run.
At that time, he was happily carrying newly bought skewers and chilled beer, preparing to enjoy them in his air-conditioned room.
As a result, while crossing the pedestrian lane, a loud song reached his ears.
"Oh life, can't you let me go this once? In my next life, I only want to be a child who doesn't want to grow up..."
He turned his head curiously to take a look, and immediately after, he was sent flying over ten meters.
Before losing consciousness, he only heard the driver say:
"Holy crap! Damn it! The insurance premium is going up again!"
When he opened his eyes again, he was in this godforsaken place.
Looking down at his furry paws, his heart was filled with mixed emotions.
He had thought about raising a dog, but he never expected that he would actually become a dog.
"Life is truly unpredictable..."
He sighed, but only let out a whimper.
While he was feeling dejected, an unconscious whimpering sound, just like that of a puppy, came from beside him.
Only then did he notice the Little White Fluff-ball next to him, roughly the size of a palm, curled into a ball and shivering as it pressed tightly against him.
Su Mo subconsciously reached out and patted the little fellow.
"Mmm~ the feel is quite nice, soft and squishy."
Just then, another gust of biting cold wind poured into the entrance of the hole. The white fluff-ball beside him shuddered and instinctively burrowed into Su Mo's embrace.
Su Mo then noticed that the world he had transmigrated to seemed to still be in winter.
He looked at himself, then at the little fluff-ball beside him, and seeing no place where food was stored nearby, he suddenly felt a bit worried.
"I wonder where this little fellow's parents have gone?"
"We are clearly in our infancy; without food, I'm afraid we won't survive this winter."
He shook his head with a bitter smile, looking at the biting cold weather outside through the hole.
"In this godforsaken weather, it's not realistic to go out and find food..."
Just then, a crisp electronic sound appeared in his mind:
"[Ding! host detected. Reincarnation System successfully bound.]"
Su Mo immediately jolted, his heart filling with excitement.
As expected, Transmigration novels did not lie to me!
Carrying his excitement, he tentatively asked in his heart:
"System, what is your function?"
"[This System is dedicated to helping the host attain the supreme Dao in this realm.]"
"[The host can reincarnate upon every death.]"
"[Each reincarnation allows for the extraction of one skill and one talent.]"
"[Surviving for ten years allows for the solidification of one skill or talent; surviving for a hundred years allows both to be solidified.]"
"[Solidified skills and talents will no longer disappear with reincarnation and can be used permanently.]"
As the System's notification finished, a realization flashed in Su Mo's eyes, and he understood how to use the System.
In other words, as long as he continued to reincarnate and accumulate skills and talents, attaining the supreme Righteous Path was just a matter of time.
Su Mo's tail wagged unconsciously along with his excitement.
The Little White Fluff-ball in his arms was startled awake by his sudden movement and squirmed dizzily a few times.
Looking at the little thing in his arms, he couldn't help but smile slightly.
If he accidentally died, it wouldn't be a problem, but it would be a bit of a pity if this cute little thing died.
"System, what about the talent and skill for this time?"
As soon as he finished speaking, two somewhat transparent and simple wheels appeared before his eyes.
One wheel had two large characters 'Skill' in the middle, and the other was 'Talent'.
The wheels were densely divided into many sections, but there was no text on them, only black question marks.
"Keeping it quite mysterious..."
Su Mo silently extended a paw and clicked the 'Skill' lottery button... The wheel spun rapidly and finally came to a slow stop.
The pointer landed on one of the many question marks.
The black question mark gradually enlarged before Su Mo's eyes, finally turning into a streak of black light that merged into the space between his brows.
"[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the skill: Infinite White Porridge (Never Expires)]"
"[Skill: Infinite White Porridge (Never Expires)]"
"[Effect: Can summon an unlimited amount of white porridge at a suitable temperature anywhere within sight at any time.]"
"[CD: None]"
"[Remark: A diamond is forever, white porridge is eternal.]"
Su Mo froze in place, his small mouth slightly agape.
"Infinite... Congee?"
He looked down at his furry paws, feeling slightly speechless.
"System, did you make a mistake? I'm a dog right now!"
"Do you want me to start a rebellion?"
Although he said he was unwilling, he still tried out the effect of the skill.
With a thought, Su Mo activated the skill.
A pool of white porridge suddenly appeared on the ground in front of him, about the amount of a bowl.
Under the influence of the cold air, the white porridge spilled on the ground was emitting white steam.
The rich aroma of rice made Su Mo, who hadn't eaten for who knows how many days, unable to help but swallow his saliva.
The Little White Fluff-ball beside him also seemed to smell the food; its wet nose twitched continuously as it crawled toward the white porridge on the ground.
Su Mo quickly stopped her, gently pressing down on her little head with his paw.
The white porridge on the ground had almost seeped into the soil, and what remained began to freeze in the cold weather.
Getting an upset stomach in this godforsaken weather would be bad.
But despite him holding down the little fellow's head, she continued to squirm toward the location of the white porridge.
Seeing this, Su Mo shook his head and pulled out a withered leaf that was half-buried under the snow at the entrance of the hole.
Having been washed by the snow, although the leaf was a bit damp, it was generally very clean.
