207: Chapter 207 Annihilation Source Blood

The monk appeared to be asking a question, but in reality, a strand of aura had already coiled around Su Mo's body, beginning to affect their consciousness.

Su Mo remained expressionless and said indifferently, "Lead the way."

He realized that the will of the Great Nirvana Buddha was not within this monk; it was not his Incarnation, but merely an ordinary Mortal tainted by the aura.

The smile on the monk's face stiffened imperceptibly for a moment, and then, as if following a fixed program, he slowly said, "Excellent, excellent. Since you two have a heart inclined towards the Buddha, please follow me inside."

One monk turned to lead the way, while the other remained standing in place, maintaining an eternally unchanging, peaceful smile as he watched them.

Su Mo followed the leading monk into the magnificent Nirvana Zen Temple.

The further they walked inside, the deeper the aura belonging to the Great Nirvana Buddha became. The air was thick with the scent of sandalwood, which, when inhaled, made one feel a desire to let go of everything and return to nothingness.

Every monk and pilgrim they encountered along the way, without exception, had hollow eyes, having been turned into mindless Puppets.

The leading monk brought them to the front of the main hall and bowed, saying, "The two benefactors may wait here; the Dharma assembly will begin shortly."

After speaking, he turned and left, leaving Su Mo and Phoenix Nine Heavens standing there.

Su Mo ignored him, his gaze instead drawn to a tall Buddha statue in the main hall.

The face of the Buddha statue was exactly the same as the Great Nirvana Buddha that Su Mo had seen.

Most striking was the " 卍" Buddha seal on the center of the statue's forehead, which emitted faint fluctuations of spiritual power.

"This Buddha statue... is strange..." Phoenix Nine Heavens struggled to squeeze out the words.

At this moment, her expression fluctuated violently between peace and struggle, and the Nirvana Divine Fire burning around her body was completely unable to block the erosion of this will.

Su Mo, however, felt nothing at all; it seemed that because he possessed the remnants of the Great Nirvana Buddha's will within him, these spiritual fluctuations were not directed at him.

"This benefactor, you possess deep roots of wisdom and have a predestined affinity with my Buddha. Are you willing to join my Buddhist sect, comprehend the true meaning of Nirvana, and ascend to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss?"

A young, handsome monk walked out from behind the Buddha statue, dressed in a pure white monk's robe and looking extremely holy.

"Ascend to Ultimate Bliss? Why don't I send you there!" Su Mo sneered.

The aura of the Great Nirvana Buddha on the monk before him was extremely dense, but his cultivation was only at the Golden Core Stage—neither high nor low in the Eastern Region.

After speaking, Su Mo attacked decisively, pointing his fingers like a sword and condensing a tangible, scorching blade of light that thrust directly toward the monk's forehead.

This strike was enough to instantly kill a Nascent Soul Cultivator; the monk before him could not possibly block it.

However, facing this rapid strike, the young monk did not dodge or evade, and the peaceful smile on his face did not change in the slightest.

Clang! The white " 卍" Buddha seal on the monk's forehead suddenly shone brilliantly, forming a protective barrier of buddhist light that easily blocked Su Mo's strike.

Seeing this, Su Mo raised an eyebrow. "Interesting..."

The handsome monk pressed his palms together and smiled, "Benefactor, I am the agent of the Great Nirvana Buddha in this place, bearing the great vows of all living beings. If you kill me, hundreds of thousands of souls in this city will instantly suffer a backlash. At that time, the entire city will turn into an Asura hell, and life will be devastated. Are you willing to bear this monstrous Karma?"

His tone was peaceful, yet it carried a naked threat.

Su Mo's eyes turned cold. "Moral blackmail? Do you think you can threaten me with this?"

Since he could not kill him, he would simply convert him into an Incarnation.

Su Mo thought for a moment and then walked toward him.

The young monk seemed to sense his intentions and changed his tone, "Wait, Benefactor! I did not intend to threaten you; I only wished to tell you that slaughter is not the only way to solve problems. I see that you possess roots of wisdom and have a predestined affinity with my Buddha. Why not consider another way?"

He looked at Su Mo with deep, meaningful eyes, "Benefactor, do you know why, for tens of thousands of years, no one in this realm has been able to achieve Ascension?"

Su Mo paused slightly and asked with feigned confusion, "You know the reason?"

The young monk wore an inscrutable smile, "Naturally, I do. This is an ancient secret, involving the shackles of heaven and earth and the truth behind the severed immortal path. If you are willing to convert to my Buddha, you can break those shackles and enter the immortal path directly."

"Not only that, I will also return these hundreds of thousands of souls to freedom. How about it? With the conversion of one person, you can exchange it for a path to the heavens and the survival of a city. This is supreme Karma."

Su Mo looked at him and suddenly laughed, "Great Nirvana Buddha, you went through all this trouble just to convert me?"

Having had his identity exposed, the buddhist light on the young monk's body flared, and after the light receded, his appearance changed.

Then, he reached out and beckoned, and a drop of pure white, exceptionally mysterious blood emerged from the center of the giant Buddha statue's forehead, hovering above his palm.

"This is... Nirvana Origin Blood. It contains my Dao path. By consuming it, you can step onto the path of Ascension without any obstacles and become a True Immortal."

The Great Nirvana Buddha walked toward Su Mo step by step, his tone filled with temptation.

But Su Mo looked at the Nirvana Origin Blood and sneered.

First, the Blood Sea Demon Venerable had gifted him a Cultivation Technique, and now the Great Nirvana Buddha was offering him a Dao path; their motives were self-evident.

Su Mo seemed to have become a hot commodity, with both sides trying to pull him into their own camp.

He spread his hands, a wicked smile appearing on his face, "Compared to the second-hand path that others have already walked, I prefer one that hasn't been blazed yet!"

Su Mo reached out and touched the body of the Great Nirvana Buddha's Incarnation without any obstruction.

But the Great Nirvana Buddha wore a meaningful smile, "Then I wish for you, Benefactor, to walk... your own Dao..."

After he spoke, this body was converted by Su Mo into his own Incarnation.

The Nirvana Origin Blood, meanwhile, ended up in Su Mo's hand.

Even as just a single drop of blood, the Origin it contained was more massive than that within a self-condensed Dao Fruit, and it contained something fundamentally incomprehensible.

"This might be what is needed to condense the immortal fetus..." Su Mo stared at the Origin Blood in his palm, his gaze deep.

He would use this, but not for himself.

He would never directly integrate something with unknown Origins into his own body.

He casually summoned an ant that had just hatched and injected it into its body.

In an instant, the ant's body expanded and twisted violently; white patterns emerged on its shell, and its aura soared crazily.

Nascent Soul, Soul Transformation, Void Refining, Body Integration... In almost a few breaths, it broke through to Body Integration Perfection, and a Dao Fruit was already brewing within its body.

Once the Dao Fruit finished brewing, it would be able to reach the Mahayana Stage.

At a thought from Su Mo, the ant, which had a terrifying aura and a body like a small mountain, twisted and shrank before him. As light flowed, it transformed into a slender monk dressed in a white monk's robe.

His face bore a seventy to eighty percent resemblance to the Great Nirvana Buddha, but there was one difference... his absolute loyalty to Su Mo!

The Great Nirvana Buddha surely could not have anticipated this.

As long as he integrated this Incarnation into his own body, he could directly possess everything it had—safe and effective.
