154: Chapter 156 Time Training Room
Lu Chen turned around in surprise.
"What do you mean by the first layer?"
Sheng Lini smiled faintly.
"Asgard is composed of nine layers. Each layer corresponds to a cultivation Realm."
"We are currently on the first layer, which only allows entry to those below A Rank."
"When someone makes a Breakthrough, they can enter the next layer."
Lu Chen blinked.
He couldn't help but ask curiously.
"So... is every layer the same as here? Or does the environment change?"
"The environment is largely the same."
Sheng Lini nodded.
He explained.
"But each layer has a corresponding System. While the environmental appearance is the same, the item Rank, functions, and transaction rules are slightly different..."
"After all, the difference between each major Realm above A Rank is too vast. The surrounding environment must maintain a balance with the warriors' strength.
Indeed.
The entire giant city is a replica of the true capital city of the Origin Star, Asgard.
And there are nine such replicas.
Lu Chen's gaze swept over the crowd.
He found they were all groups of young people.
They were chatting, greeting each other, laughing and talking.
Only then did he realize that since arriving here,
he had never sensed any threatening auras.
No terrifying pressure.
Nor any existence that made one's heart tremble to the point of suffocation.
Only ordinary Qi fluctuations—though still quite intense, they remained within the B Rank range.
"No wonder..."
He murmured to himself.
"I was worried that if people from Blue Star entered here, they would be bullied by stronger individuals, their confidence shattered, even their cultivation path destroyed."
"This is precisely the reason the Virtual Universe exists."
Sheng Lini said.
"Without Lady Atana's permission, no one can go to a layer lower than their own strength."
"She will not grant approval unless there is a legitimate and necessary reason."
Lu Chen nodded slowly.
This was indeed admirable.
To establish such a vast virtual world,
and still consider the weak.
It was enough to illustrate the overall ethos of the Origin Human Race.
"However," Sheng Lini continued, "if it's private property you purchased, like a house or manor, you can invite anyone in, regardless of their cultivation Realm."
"This way, even if you are bullied outside, you won't face the predicament of being unable to see the strong members of your race when necessary."
"Even if you don't have your own private space, you can rent one."
Sheng Lini's expression turned serious.
"This is why our race can stand at the peak of the Universe."
He said softly.
"A powerful civilization doesn't just possess great power."
"It also has lofty foresight, maintains order in its living home, and respects life at all levels."
They continued walking forward.
Finally, they arrived before a massive building spanning an entire city block at the city center.
It looked like a huge shopping mall.
But more modern and sci-fi.
It even gave off a sense of sacredness.
"This is the store here."
Sheng Lini said.
"You can buy almost anything here—treasures, Combat Techniques, and various rare Materials."
"Any product recorded in the Origin Alliance database is available for purchase."
Then they walked inside.
Lu Chen looked around.
Countless shelves extended in all directions.
No end in sight.
On the glowing shelves,
items were placed one by one.
Each was enveloped by a transparent light shield.
Floating labels were also marked on them.
"However," Sheng Lini explained, "everything here requires merit points."
Lu Chen stopped before a row of crystal spheres.
These crystal spheres shimmered with light.
They emitted an incredibly profound aura.
"What are these?"
"Law Spheres."
Sheng Lini introduced.
"Each sphere Seals a fragment of a Law, imprinted by various powerful individuals."
"If you can obtain one to study and comprehend, your understanding of that Law will rapidly increase. They are extremely precious, but, the price is equally high."
They continued forward.
They passed through a shelf area filled with Spirit Medicines of various colors.
Some Beast Cores among them still emitted residual energy.
It was unclear if they were from recent hunts,
or if the preservation technology here was too powerful.
Moreover, red labels floated above some items.
These were restricted goods.
Only those with specific cultivation levels or special permits could purchase them.
This place was vast.
Like a new city.
But it was orderly.
There was no sense of chaos.
Even though it was virtual,
it seemed to have a life of its own.
"Come," Sheng Lini said with a smile, "I'll take you to see something better."
Saying this,
they left the store.
They arrived before a huge oval-shaped building.
The entire building shimmered with blue-white light.
It emitted a special rhythm.
Walking inside,
they immediately felt a dense concentration of cosmic energy.
Such a massive energy density,
yet without the slightest Spiritual Pressure.
Breathing in and out,
was no different from usual.
There was not the slightest feeling of obstruction.
It was simply... a Holy Land for cultivation.
"This is the Cultivation Hall."
Sheng Lini's face held respect.
He lowered his voice and said.
"You can rent independent cultivation chambers here."
"They are equipped with devices containing the Time Law, which can accelerate time by six times."
"That is to say, if you Cultivate inside for six hours, only one hour passes outside."
