639: Chapter 642 Xi

The Soul spoke solemnly.

"So, because of those two pieces of trash, no one can reach the Absolute Eternal Realm, let alone transcend this cage system, right?"

Lu Chen asked coldly.

"Exactly."

"I insisted on trying even after being warned, and as a result, I was slain by him."

"But before I died, I had already prepared this contingency and severed my Karma with it."

"You said you tried, which means you have a clear path,"

Lu Chen said.

"What is it?"

"If you listen to me, you will inherit my Karma in addition to your own,"

Xi replied.

"Are you still willing to listen?"

"I am."

Lu Chen did not hesitate.

"Very well."

Xi signaled for Lu Chen to sit.

The two sat cross-legged facing each other.

"To escape this cage, two conditions must be met:"

"First, you must create a Law outside of the Three Thousand Laws."

"Second, you must create your own race."

"After countless eons of research, I finally understood: the Three Thousand Laws were created by three thousand different experts."

"I believe those experts are already outside the cage."

"Each of them possesses their own race."

"This conclusion comes from my observation of all races within the cage."

"There are approximately two thousand nine hundred Primordial Races here."

"All other races are derivatives of them."

"I believe the remaining one hundred that cannot be found also exist somewhere beyond my perception."

"Every Primordial Race carries a unique Law."

"That is why I created the Human Race... a race that can carry any Law."

"My original intention was to integrate my own Law into the Human Race once it was completed."

"But I failed."

"I was never able to create a Law of my own."

"Repeated attempts enraged the Supreme One, and he executed me."

"This is why the Human Race is suppressed by all things in heaven and earth."

"Because of their infinite potential, they are constantly monitored."

Xi fell into silence.

Lu Chen froze in place.

His mind was deeply shaken.

The one before him was actually the Progenitor of the Human Race in this world.

"So I need to create my own race, a race that only carries my Law."

Lu Chen said slowly.

"That is only my theory,"

Xi replied.

"But judging by their reaction, it should be correct."

"However, merely creating a race is meaningless."

"This race must be able to rival the Primordial Races."

"The members of those races are born above the Innate Origin Realm."

Lu Chen felt a wave of dizziness.

He was currently only at the Void Emperor Realm.

Suddenly.

A memory surfaced.

The girl who had once attacked him.

She claimed to be of the Creation Blood Clan.

That should be one of the Primordial Races.

Their Law...

...was likely the Bloodline Law.

"You are thinking of creating a race,"

Xi said softly.

"Why not go a step further?"

"Become the Progenitor of the entire Human Race and elevate humanity to a Primordial Race."

"I know your potential far exceeds mine."

The cave then fell into silence.

Xi's Soul projection floated above the corpse, its faint light illuminating the ancient stone walls.

The air was heavy.

It was as if the entire cave was holding its breath.

Lu Chen did not speak immediately.

He stood there, staring at the corpse...

...a supreme existence that even gods would kneel before.

A failure.

An existence that died trying to break free from the cage that imprisoned everything.

To inherit this will...

...also meant inheriting this failure.

The Human Race.

A weak, divided, short-lived race full of flaws.

A race that slaughtered its own over ideals, resources, and fear.

A race that bowed to the strong, surviving only through adaptation, hiding, and endurance.

Lu Chen closed his eyes.

But even so.

This was a race that refused to disappear.

No matter how many times they were trampled, enslaved, or wiped out.

Humans would always make a comeback.

They learned faster, grew faster, and resisted faster.

They dreamed of the impossible.

With Mortal hands, they reached for the heavens.

Lu Chen exhaled slowly.

"I am human,"

he said softly.

His voice echoed gently in the cave.

"I hate our weakness, I hate our stupidity, I hate our cruelty."

His fingers clenched into a fist.

"But I also love this race."

He opened his eyes.

He looked directly at Xi's Soul.

"If I accept... will I immediately become the Progenitor?"

Xi shook his head gently.

"No."

"First," he replied, "you must at least reach the ancestor realm yourself."

He raised a translucent finger.

"If you agree to take over, I will bestow my remaining Authority upon you."

"The moment you break through to the ancestor realm, you will gain control over the Human Race."

Lu Chen narrowed his eyes.

"Control."

"Yes,"

Xi said calmly.

"You can guide them, suppress them, or sublimate them. But I warn you."

The Soul's expression became solemn.

"Simply becoming the Progenitor is meaningless in itself."

Lu Chen continued to listen.

"You must establish an Empire."

Xi continued.

"An Empire vast enough to bring the entire Human Race within the cage under your banner."

The cave trembled slightly as the words sank into his heart.

"Once you create your own Law—a Law as powerful as the Three Thousand Laws—and fuse it with the Human Race, they will become a Primordial Race."

Xi's gaze was sharp.

"Only then will you have hope of transcending this cage."

Lu Chen felt a heavy pressure on his chest.

This was not salvation.

"I've seen Anti-World humans before,"

Lu Chen suddenly spoke up.

"Were they also created by you?"

A knowing, faint smile curled at the corners of Xi's mouth.

"They are not human."

He shook his head slowly.

"An Anti-World existence tried to imitate the Human Race and created an Anti-World race. But imitation is never creation."

"They have flaws—deep, structural flaws. If you study them closely, you will understand."

His gaze lingered on Lu Chen.

"Furthermore, I can see that you carry the aura of the Anti-World within you."

Lu Chen was not surprised that he could see through him.

But it didn't matter; that wasn't his secret.

His only secret was that infinite Sea of Origin.

"You should complete this evolution,"

Xi said.

"Even I cannot predict what you will become. But I can be certain you will become incredibly powerful."

Lu Chen fell silent again.

He had one last question to ask.

"One more thing,"

he said.

"If I become the Progenitor... can I trace every single human?"

Xi nodded.

"Yes. You can sense them, find them, and hear their cries."

He paused.

"Of course, if there is a supreme existence like me, or one even stronger than me, who deliberately blocks you, you might not be able to."
