64: sonic shock

The supermarket was once again replaced by a deep lava pit.

[The second supermarket, destruction level: 100% / 100%]

Shi Yan appeared at the spot where the cashier died with a single step.

A deep purple crystal appeared there, and Shi Yan reached out to touch it.

A warm current flowed into Shi Yan's body.

Shi Yan summoned his ability panel.

(Subsequent abilities will become more numerous; to avoid word count, only the most recently acquired ability is displayed.)

Ability: Sonic Vibration

Shi Yan directed his gaze, and a message entered his mind.

Sonic Vibration: Can release a strong sound wave with a vibrating effect.

Shi Yan released the skill towards the deep pit, intending to test the power of his new skill.

Crack.

Shi Yan's mouth slightly opened, and a transparent airwave, visible to the naked eye, spread out from Shi Yan towards his target.

Wherever the airwave passed, the ground was vibrated, creating tiny cracks, and finally, another small pit, half a meter deep, was blasted above the deep pit.

The lava in the large lava pit was blown by the airwave, splashing in all directions.

The onlookers around immediately screamed and ran in all directions.

After testing the skill, Shi Yan immediately crushed a new white card, and Shi Yan was transmitted again, disappearing from his original spot.

Just ten seconds after Shi Yan disappeared, a woman with a fiery outfit, twin ponytails, and two small horns on her head appeared there.

"He got away again," the woman said softly, her brows tightly furrowed.

"This time, no innocent people were harmed," a white-haired old man slowly walked out from behind her.

If Shi Yan hadn't been greedy and killed those two passersby last time, their Flame Guard wouldn't have bothered with these matters at all; mutual corporate takeovers are a default unwritten rule.

Clearly, the innocent as defined by the Flame Guard and the innocent as defined by Slaughter Paradise were different.

Shi Yan appeared inside a large shopping mall this time.

The mall was eight stories high in total, with many shops visible on each floor.

Shi Yan's target was right in front of him: a large supermarket on the second floor. Its overall scale was much larger than the previous supermarkets.

Shi Yan frowned slightly. He wondered why this supermarket only had one cashier. Had his actions been reported here?

Shi Yan remembered that some passersby had indeed filmed him with something before, and there was that unknown white-haired old man. They might have also reported him, urging residents to stay away from Crocodile Tyrant's supermarkets.

Never mind, the mission is more important.

Shi Yan was too lazy to think so much and decided to complete the mission first.

Shi Yan's motionless stance attracted the attention of the cashier inside the supermarket.

The cashier squinted at Shi Yan, then his face turned pale, and his pupils constricted.

The surrounding passersby were also pointing at Shi Yan, and some had a floating, translucent light screen in front of them.

In the very center of that light screen was a frontal photo of Shi Yan.

Shi Yan also noticed this scene out of the corner of his eye.

It seems I need to speed up.

This supermarket was located inside a shopping mall, and it was on the second floor, so Shi Yan couldn't use Lava Fireball like before to directly destroy the entire supermarket.

That would cause the entire mall to be affected, and if he accidentally injured an innocent passerby, the mission would fail immediately.

Although he couldn't use Lava Fireball this time, Shi Yan had countless other skills.

He slightly raised his hands, a emerald green light glowed in his eyes, and his entire body lit up with dazzling emerald green light.

The cashier inside the supermarket also snapped back to his senses when he saw this scene and prepared to flee immediately.

"Damn it! How could I be so unlucky!"

He cursed under his breath. Crocodile Tyrant had so many supermarkets, why did he have to pick his? Although he was Level 23, he had no intention of fighting Shi Yan.

After all, this human on the other side clearly wasn't normal, and he had even learned through special channels that this strange human could escape from the Flame Guard.

Although the Flame Guard's not-so-serious attitude was also a reason, the members of the Flame Guard were all powerful monsters, and it was already very difficult to escape from them.

Most importantly, he had a special innate ability. The moment he saw Shi Yan, he felt a fatal sense of danger, a terrifying, electrifying thrill that instantly spread throughout his body, which was why he seemed to be frozen in place as if intimidated.

This special innate ability had saved him many times, but this time he was suffering because of it, as it delayed him for a while.

Even if he hadn't been delayed, he wouldn't have been able to escape completely.

The cashier flipped over the counter and ran towards the window at the edge of the supermarket, intending to smash through the window and escape.

But a piercing sense of danger came from the window's direction. He gritted his teeth, turned his head, and ran towards the side wall, wanting to smash through the wall to escape, but a sense of danger also came from the wall.

Immediately, waves of danger appeared from behind him, above him, and below him, covering the cashier's entire body.

The cashier stiffly stopped in place, a desperate look on his face, but then his mind suddenly throbbed, and his thoughts were interrupted for a moment.

Thick, sharp, dark brown vines suddenly shot out from the interior walls, ground, and ceiling of the supermarket, instantly filling the entire supermarket with dense vines. There was not a single gap inside the entire supermarket; everywhere one looked, there were vines.

All the decorations and shelves inside the supermarket were shattered by the vines and then crushed into a pile of fragments by the immense force.

The cashier's figure also disappeared amidst the layers of vines.

Shi Yan stepped into the interior of the supermarket. The vines blocking his path automatically parted to both sides, forming a passage just wide enough for him to walk through.

The surrounding passersby were all shocked and dumbfounded.

Shi Yan first walked towards the cashier's desk. He had intentionally avoided this location when he released the vines earlier. He put all the magical coins inside into his Portable Space, totaling approximately three to four thousand magical coins.

After collecting the magical coins, he casually used a vine to crush the cashier's desk into fragments.

As for the other goods in the supermarket, because their value was not high and time was pressing, Shi Yan did not intentionally preserve them. All the goods were now destroyed beyond recognition by the vines.

Then, Shi Yan walked towards the location where the cashier died while looking at the system's progress prompt.

[The third supermarket, destruction level: 100% / 100%]

The progress already showed complete, as there was not a single complete item visible inside the supermarket now. If it still wasn't considered complete, it would be a bit too harsh.

Shi Yan walked to the spot where the cashier had been standing earlier. The cashier was now a pile of bloody pulp, with streaks of fresh blood splattered around, and a pungent, bloody smell filled the air.

A white crystal lay quietly on top of that pile of pulp.

Shi Yan looked at the crystal with anticipation, completely ignoring the surrounding school scene.

He had seen the cashier's performance completely. Every time he was about to release vines at him, he would always change direction the next moment, as if he could predict what he was going to do.

So, in the end, Shi Yan could only kill him by completely enveloping him from all directions.
