94: Chapter 94 Not Dead?

Chen Ze leaped, jumping directly down from the second floor.

The moment his feet touched the ground, he bolted like a cheetah, rushing toward the two nearest Brute Zombies.

At this moment, the group of Brute Force Zombies was still some distance from the Blockhouse. The E-grade crossbows kept firing, forcing them to use their bone hammers to desperately shield their vitals as they advanced slowly.

Suddenly, they saw a tiny human before them.

Their ferocity flared instantly, and deep, dull roars rumbled in their throats.

They stopped in their tracks, both swinging their giant bone hammers, and smashed them fiercely at Chen Ze from the left and right.

Chen Ze did not slow his charge in the slightest. The Dragon Chant Blade in his hand glinted with a chilling light, and he did not shy away from the two giant corpses blocking his path.

With various bonuses, his three-dimensional attributes had now reached a terrifying 46 points! The Brute Zombies' agility attribute was only a mere dozen or so.

Every movement of the opponents—the swinging of hammers, the stepping forward—fell into his eyes, appearing as slow as a half-speed video, with all their flaws laid bare.

The Brute Force Zombie on the left swung its hammer horizontally first, the wind whistling as it arrived.

Chen Ze slid sideways to dodge it nimbly, simultaneously twisting his wrist, the blade flashing in a diagonal slash that precisely cut into the gap in the flesh of the opponent's neck.

"Squelch!"

The massive head flew off, black-green blood gushing out. The Brute Force Zombie stiffened, its bone hammer crashed heavily into the dirt, and its huge body collapsed with a boom.

[Ding, killed an E-grade Brute Force Zombie, rewarded with 1000 survival coins!]

The other one saw this and charged crazily. Chen Ze took the opportunity to close in and circle to its side, flicking his blade upward to directly sever its bucket-like lower leg.

The Brute Zombie lost its balance and knelt on the ground. Chen Ze stepped forward, stomping one foot onto its back and the other directly onto its shoulder.

"Die!"

He raised the Dragon Chant Blade high above his head, piercing it straight down into the top of the Brute Zombie's skull. The long, sharp blade pierced through the skull and sank deep into its chest.

"Thud!"

The massive body fell straight to the ground, its limbs twitched twice, and it completely stopped moving.

[Ding! Congratulations on killing an E-grade Brute Zombie, rewarded with 1000 survival coins!]

The two Brute Force Zombies hadn't even lasted ten seconds before both of them fell.

Everyone on the fourth level of the Blockhouse was stunned.

Li Mengmeng gazed at the two mountain-like corpses, her small hand subconsciously covering her mouth, her almond-shaped eyes wide open.

"Brother Chen Ze... this is too strong!"

"Two E-grade mutant zombies... just like that... killed?"

Duan Linhai's mouth hung open in an "o" shape, his breathing unconsciously becoming heavy.

"I must have burned some serious incense at my ancestors' graves to be able to serve as a lackey for a prodigy like Boss!"

Beside him, Xiao Long clenched his small fists tightly, his eyes fixed on the tall, upright figure downstairs. His face was full of adoration, and he stomped his feet repeatedly in excitement.

"Uncle Chen Ze is so amazing!"

At this moment, in Xiao Long's heart, those Marvel superheroes were nothing; they couldn't even compare to a single hair on Uncle Chen Ze!

On the ground, Chen Ze casually shook the black-green putrid blood off his blade. His gaze swept over the remaining Brute Force Zombies that had gathered at the sound, but he didn't pause at all. He pushed off the ground, charged again, and headed straight for the Fuzi Zombies in the back.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!~"

Another series of explosions rang out. The Blockhouse was instantly bombarded, sending earth and stone flying, and even one of the searchlights on top was shattered by the shockwave.

Chen Ze checked the durability value: 1523/2800.

How much time had passed, and the durability cap had already increased by a full 800 points?

The efficiency was more than ten times faster than last night!

But before he could think much more, the ground behind him shook violently; all the remaining Brute Force Zombies had reached the base of the Blockhouse wall.

A dozen mountain-like bodies raised their giant bone hammers in unison, smashing them fiercely against the Blockhouse like a storm.

[Ding, your Fortress is under attack by Brute Force Zombies, durability -40! S-grade talent Tycoons Armor activated, durability cap +8!]

[Ding, your Fortress is under attack by Brute Force Zombies, durability -40! S-grade talent Tycoons Armor activated, durability cap +8!]

...

Dense system notifications popped up frantically like a screen flood, and the durability value plummeted like a waterfall, dropping below the one-thousand mark in the blink of an eye.

"Damn! There are too many of these big guys, and their hammer-swinging speed is so fast; their total output isn't inferior to those Fuzi Zombies at all!"

Chen Ze cursed under his breath and immediately used a repair kit to raise the Blockhouse's durability back up.

The battle had lasted less than ten minutes in total, but Chen Ze had already dumped nearly 6000 survival coins into buying repair kits.

"This won't do! I must end this quickly. If I keep dragging it out like this, my savings won't be able to hold up!"

Chen Ze was truly anxious now. He only had a little over ten thousand survival coins left, and with enemies on both sides, it would be completely bottomed out before long.

He dared not delay any longer. He stomped his feet hard against the ground, fully unleashing his 46 points of all-attributes. His speed suddenly increased another notch, his figure becoming somewhat blurred.

A few seconds later, he finally rushed in front of the first isolated Fuzi Zombie.

At this distance, he finally got a clear look at the monster's appearance.

The Fuzi Zombie was an eerie grayish-white all over, its flesh bloated, and its surface sticky, as if it had just been fished out of mud, emitting a pungent, fishy stench.

Its limbs were extremely thin and withered, forming an extreme contrast with its deformed, bloated abdomen.

The most gruesome part was its abdomen, where a gash had been forcibly torn open from the navel, the skin and flesh turned outward, and the edges of the flesh were rotten and white.

The crack was packed with pitch-black heads, stacked in layers, slightly squirming with its breathing—eerie and disgusting!

The Fuzi Zombie sensed Chen Ze approaching and immediately reached into the abdominal gash, dug out a head whose mouth and eyes were still slightly opening and closing, and hurled it fiercely at him.

The speed of the head was extremely fast; even for Chen Ze now, he could only just barely dodge it by turning sideways.

Just as he thought he had dodged the bombardment and was about to raise his blade for a counter-kill, a sudden change occurred.

The head that should have flown past did not land; instead, it suddenly exploded in mid-air!

"Damn! It can even control the timing of the explosion!"

Chen Ze realized it instantly, but it was clearly too late.

"Boom!"

A deafening explosion rang out, and a terrifying force swept over Chen Ze's entire body, instantly blowing him six or seven meters away.

Chen Ze landed heavily, feeling as if his whole body had been run over by a large truck; there wasn't a single spot that didn't hurt.

"Damn! The power is so terrifying!"

Chen Ze spat out the blood foam in his mouth, feeling a wave of lingering fear.

If he hadn't been wearing the E-grade Bone Pattern Leather Armor today, he would likely have died here.

He no longer dared to underestimate the Fuzi Zombie before him, raised his Dragon Scale Blade, and charged forward again.

At this moment, the Fuzi Zombie was reaching its arms into the abdominal gash, trying to dig out another explosive head.

But taking out a head required a gap of over ten seconds; limited by their level and three-dimensional attributes, it was simply too late now.

"Hum~"

Chen Ze swung the Dragon Chant Blade violently, immediately emitting a sound of piercing through the air, and precisely hit the opponent's neck.

"Squelch!"

Putrid blood splattered, and that disgusting head was thrown high into the air, crashing down heavily.

"Finally solved one!"

Chen Ze let out a sigh of relief and turned to leave, but as soon as he took a step, he suddenly felt that something was not quite right.

What exactly was the problem?

"Wait! Why didn't the system prompt a kill?"
