Chapter 101 Traitors, All Killed
When Liu Qiaofei raised her head and saw that familiar yet strange face, her entire body froze.
It was Zou Min.
And behind her were Sun Lili, along with the other four girls from their Dormitory.
Before Liu Qiaofei could speak, Zou Min's legs gave way. With a heavy *thud*, she knelt straight down right in front of everyone in the corridor!
The Sun Lili and the four other girls behind her were also terrified out of their wits, following suit and kneeling down in a neat row.
"Feifei... I was wrong! I was really wrong!"
Zou Min wept bitterly, crawling forward on her knees a few steps.
She wanted to grab the hem of Liu Qiaofei's clothes but didn't dare.
She could only lift her face, smeared with tears and fear, and plead with a wretched, piercing voice.
This sudden scene plunged the entire trading area into silence.
All the people in line craned their necks, looking at the spectacle with stunned expressions.
"Well, what kind of show is this?"
Su Meier's eyes curved like silk threads as she looked at the kneeling figures with keen interest.
Jiang Yuwan's cool, elegant brows furrowed slightly. She turned her head and asked Liu Qiaofei beside her in a low voice, "What's going on?"
Yao Qingya also stopped writing, looking at the pale-faced Liu Qiaofei with concern. "Feifei, do you know them?"
An Lan said nothing, only her calm eyes swept indifferently over each person kneeling on the ground.
Under everyone's gaze, Liu Qiaofei's body trembled slightly.
She looked at Zou Min, kneeling before her, crying with snot and tears streaming down her face.
That once inseparable "best friend". A surge of overwhelming anger and grievance instantly flooded her heart.
"What are you still doing here?!" Liu Qiaofei's voice choked with tears, her innocent face filled with fury.
Zou Min flinched at her shout, her face turning even paler.
She immediately began kowtowing like pounding garlic, frantically making excuses.
"Feifei, listen to my explanation! I... I was possessed at the time! I just wanted to survive, I really didn't mean to harm you!"
"You know how hard it is for everyone in the apocalypse... You're so kind-hearted, you surely couldn't bear to watch Lili get bitten to death by zombies, right? I... I just had a momentary lapse of judgment!"
"A momentary lapse of judgment?"
Liu Qiaofei was so infuriated by this shameless talk that she laughed, but tears fell uncontrollably.
"For a three-star gift pack, to trade for a Sun Lili with higher basic combat power than me, you kicked me, unarmed, out of the Dormitory in the last three minutes before midnight!"
"You didn't even dare to tell me beforehand! I asked multiple times about the tenant position, and you kept putting me off until you finally brought Sun Lili, confirmed the spot, and then shoved me out like trash!"
The more she spoke, the more agitated she became, her voice growing louder, her innocent little face filled with lingering fear and resentment.
"If it weren't for Senior Su Ze saving me from the zombie horde, I'd be dead by now! Eaten by zombies until not even my bones remained! And now you're telling me you didn't mean to harm me?!"
Her words made the onlookers understand the whole story.
Immediately, whispers and looks of contempt rippled through the crowd.
Zou Min's face turned alternately green and white.
Hearing Liu Qiaofei mention Su Ze, a flash of intense, undiluted resentment and jealousy quickly passed deep in her eyes.
*Why?!*
Why was this idiot so lucky, not even getting bitten to death by zombies?
Why was she always the center of attention since childhood, and even in the apocalypse, she had a powerful man like Su Ze protecting her!
Why had she herself always been just a background character since childhood, and now had to come begging her, begging her not to whisper in Su Ze's ear to have her killed...
In fact, she had come much earlier, but didn't dare to appear when Su Ze was around.
And now that Su Ze wasn't here, she had to beg Liu Qiaofei for forgiveness as soon as possible. She even hoped that after being forgiven, she might be able to use their past friendship to trick Liu Qiaofei into secretly giving her some supplies to help her out...
After all, she had always been easy to fool...
Countless thoughts flashed through her mind, but she didn't dare show a hint of them on her face.
She continued to cry and beg insincerely.
"I was wrong, Feifei! But... but thanks to me, otherwise... otherwise you might not have met Boss Su Ze or gotten into this Dormitory either..."
"You're living so well now, just take pity on me, let me off this once! I'll never dare do it again!"
This twisted logic was too much even for Jiang Yuwan to listen to.
"This classmate, Feifei being able to enter this Dormitory is because Su Ze saw her worth. What does that have to do with your actions?"
Jiang Yuwan's voice was cool, carrying undisguised sarcasm. "Are you saying our Feifei should thank you for pushing her out?"
Su Meier directly snorted with contemptuous laughter.
"Oh my, this is truly something new. Harm someone and then come to claim credit? Little sister, is your skin as thick as the Dormitory wall?"
Zou Min and Sun Lili were left speechless, choked by their words.
Yao Qingya looked at Liu Qiaofei's hesitant expression. Though she felt a bit of pity in her heart, she ultimately didn't speak up.
"Feifei, don't be soft-hearted. They don't know they were wrong; they just know they're afraid." Jiang Yuwan hit the nail on the head.
Su Meier nodded in agreement. "That's right. But then, this matter is for our Feifei to decide herself. Whatever you want to do with them, sister will support you."
Everyone's gaze fell on Liu Qiaofei.
Let them go?
Liu Qiaofei couldn't accept that.
Remembering the despair and terror she felt back then, she wished she could tear Zou Min to pieces.
But if she didn't let them go, what could she do?
She was just a girl with little combat power. Could she really dare to kill them with her own hands?
Just as she hesitated, her mind in turmoil.
A clear, calm, utterly emotionless voice suddenly rang out.
"Do you want to let them go?"
It was An Lan.
Liu Qiaofei instinctively looked up, meeting An Lan's unfathomably calm eyes.
She shook her head, hard.
An Lan nodded, her tone as flat as if discussing a trivial matter.
"Then kill them."
Kill them?
The surrounding girls were stunned for a moment.
Su Meier was the first to react, smiling as she chimed in.
"Exactly. Wait for the Landlord to return, tell him, and let him help take care of it."
Jiang Yuwan also thought this was the best way to handle it.
Yao Qingya felt a bit of reluctance, but thinking of what Liu Qiaofei had suffered, she also felt they deserved it.
However, Sun Lili and the other four dormmates kneeling on the ground, hearing the word "kill," were instantly scared out of their wits.
"No! It wasn't our fault!"
"It was Zou Min! It was all Zou Min's idea alone!"
Sun Lili was the first to jump up, pointing at Zou Min's nose and shrieking.
"I didn't know anything! She begged me to join!"
The other four girls also immediately distanced themselves from Zou Min.
"Yes! Feifei, Zou Min has been jealous of you for a long time! Since the start of freshman year, she's been bad-mouthing you behind your back, saying you pretend to be innocent, saying you lead on lots of guys!"
"We just... just didn't dare to step in and stop her! Please, let us go!"
In an instant, the former "best friends" and "good dormmates" turned on each other, tearing at one another, creating an utterly ugly scene.
However, just as they were desperately shifting blame and begging for mercy...
"Enough."
An Lan's voice rang out again, cutting off the farce.
Everyone looked at her.
They saw An Lan slowly draw a sharp dagger from her waist. The blade reflected a chilling, cold gleam under the lights.
She walked step by step towards Zou Min, who was kneeling at the front. Her voice wasn't loud, but it clearly carried throughout the corridor.
"Betrayers, regardless of severity, must die."
The moment her words fell, her wrist flicked!
*Thwish!*
A line of blood drew a tragically beautiful arc in the air.
Zou Min's cries and pleas abruptly ceased.
Her eyes widened in disbelief, her hands clutching her throat desperately as blood gushed wildly from between her fingers.
She struggled, a gurgling sound coming from her throat.
Finally, she collapsed weakly into the pool of blood. Her body twitched a few times, then fell completely still.
Dead silence filled the area.
Everyone was stunned by this swift, brutally bloody scene.
No one had expected this usually quiet, imposing-looking girl to act with such ruthless decisiveness!
Under everyone's horrified gaze.
An Lan flicked the blood off her dagger. Then she turned and began walking step by step towards the petrified Sun Lili and the other four girls...
