Chapter 112: Defeat Su Ze and Reclaim Supplies?

Seven o'clock in the morning.

The sixth floor of the Gymnasium was already crowded with people.

Large groups of survivors gathered in small clusters, whispering among themselves.

“That Su Ze is way too greedy. The copper coins we worked so hard to earn by killing zombies were all taken back by him in the blink of an eye!”

“Exactly! He’s monopolized all the supplies in the entire school. We can’t even get a hot meal anymore.”

“Damn, I really don't know who organized this. They’ve got some nerve. If this pisses off Su Ze...”

“So what if he gets pissed? Can he kill all of us? Everything he eats and uses was snatched right out of our mouths!”

“That’s true, but his basic combat power is terrifyingly high. Are we sure we aren't just throwing eggs against a stone?”

“Yeah, and he’s the one who killed the zombies in the hallways and those Mutants... I feel like doing this is a bit ungrateful.”

“Then how about you don't participate when we divide Su Ze's supplies?”

“...That won't do.”

Discussions rose and fell as anger, fear, jealousy, and hesitation intertwined and fermented within the crowd.

Just then, a commotion broke out at the entrance.

Wang Meng and Zhuang Qianhao entered one after the other, each bringing the brothers from their respective Dormitories.

The two exchanged a look and nodded in tacit understanding, acknowledging each other.

Then, with perfect coordination, they each found a spot that was inconspicuous yet relatively close to the exit and stood their ground.

On the other side of the crowd,

Liang Xing was following behind a tall male student, slowly walking up the stairs.

“Senior Shi Kui, I told you, for something like this, we need someone with a sense of justice like you to step up and uphold fairness!”

Liang Xing’s face wore a smile of admiration, his tone filled with perfectly measured indignation.

“Otherwise, all of us will be bled dry by that Su Ze! He’s holding onto supplies that should belong to everyone and selling them back to us at high prices. He’s practically not human!”

The student called Shi Kui was indeed spurred on by this flattery. He pounded his chest excitedly, his face flushed red.

“Don't worry, Junior! I, Shi Kui, am putting it out there today! No matter how overbearing Su Ze is, can he really cover the sky with one hand? With so many of us, should we really be afraid of just him?”

“Well said!”

Liang Xing nodded quickly, while inconspicuously slipping a piece of paper into Shi Kui's hand and lowering his voice.

“Senior, did you memorize the lines from earlier? Do you want to take another look?”

Shi Kui paused for a moment as he took the script, a flash of hesitation crossing his face.

But that was quickly replaced by the vanity of being the center of attention.

He took a deep breath, stuffed the script into his pocket,

And strode toward a temporary high platform set up in the center of the crowd.

Liang Xing silently retreated into the crowd.

Looking at Shi Kui's back, a flicker of disdain and contempt flashed deep within his eyes.

“Fellow students! Brothers!”

Shi Kui cleared his throat, his voice booming, instantly drawing everyone's attention.

He occasionally glanced at the script in his pocket.

He waved his arms, using highly inflammatory language to denounce Su Ze's 'crimes.'

“...Every day we live in fear in our Dormitories, fighting desperately for a bite to eat! And what about Su Ze? While we were besieged by zombies, he single-handedly scavenged the resources of the entire school with a clear conscience!”

“He eats steak and drinks red wine, while we can only gnaw on moldy bread!”

“Is this fair?!”

“It's not fair!” In the crowd, Liang Xing was the first to raise his arm and shout in a disguised voice.

Ignited by Shi Kui's speech and Liang Xing's response, long-suppressed emotions instantly erupted.

“Right! It's not fair!”

“Give us back our supplies!”

For a moment, the crowd was indignant, and countless people raised their fists in unison.

Wang Meng and Zhuang Qianhao’s men also followed along, perfunctorily shouting a few slogans.

However, their eyes were subtly observing the faces of every leader in the field.

Just as the atmosphere reached its peak, a cold voice, like a bucket of icy water, poured over them.

“A bunch of idiots.”

Everyone looked toward the source of the sound to see Xu Feng approaching with a dozen or so people from his Dormitory, looking unfriendly.

He directly ignored Shi Kui on the stage and scanned the crowd with a cold sneer.

“I'll only ask you one thing: if it weren't for Su Ze, who cleared out the dense swarms of zombies in the hallways of every floor?”

“If they weren't cleared out, who among you would have survived when the number of zombies doubled at midnight and started smashing down your Dormitory doors?”

“Also, who among you dealt with those lightning-fast, incredibly strong mutant zombies that appeared these past two nights?”

“If Boss Su Ze hadn't killed the most powerful ones in advance, how long do you think your pathetic doors would have lasted?!”

Xu Feng's words caused the noisy scene to quiet down significantly.

Hesitation appeared on many people's faces.

“That’s one thing! We thank him for saving us! But it's also a fact that he plundered everyone's resources!” someone retorted defiantly.

“Right! His strength was built up using the supplies that should have belonged to us! Otherwise, how could he be so monstrously strong!”

This argument immediately gained the support of the majority, and the scene became chaotic again.

At this moment, Liang Xing, hidden in the crowd, pinched his throat and shouted sharply in a completely different voice:

“Don't listen to him! This guy must have taken benefits from Su Ze and come here to divide us!”

This shout was like a clap of thunder.

Upon hearing this, Shi Kui on the stage felt as if he had found his backbone. He immediately pointed at Xu Feng and roared.

“Exactly! They must be in league with Su Ze! They’ve split the supplies that should have belonged to all of us players!”

“Take him down!!”

As soon as the words fell, many players who had been incited saw red and swarmed toward Xu Feng and his dozen men!

Xu Feng and his brothers' expressions changed drastically. They immediately formed a back-to-back circle, guarding themselves tensely.

Watching the crowd he had mobilized with just a few words,

Shi Kui felt as if he had become the center of the world. He looked at the script in his hand again and raised his arm high.

“Brothers! For our own justice! For the supplies we need to survive! We must—”

He prepared to shout the slogan he had rehearsed countless times in his heart.

“Demand justice! Reclaim supplies!”

Hundreds of people roared along with him.

“Demand justice! Reclaim supplies!”

“Demand jus...”

However, halfway through the second chant, the voices became sparse.

Then, everyone's voices stopped simultaneously, as if an invisible hand had gripped their throats.

Everyone lowered their heads, as if staring at their own toes.

The scene fell into an eerie silence.

On the high platform, Shi Kui was confused. He was about to scold everyone for stopping, only to find that everyone below had their heads down, not daring to look at him.

He froze for a moment, and sensing something, he looked toward the stairwell in confusion.

There, a person was leaning leisurely against the doorframe.

The man had a faint, mocking smile on his face and was watching him on the platform with great interest, as if enjoying a ridiculous play.

It was Su Ze.
