Chapter 66 Is this... even human?
Su Ze's calm voice came through, yet it instantly sent chills down the spines of the six people inside the Dormitory!
Everyone's movements froze, and the chatter died abruptly.
They all widened their eyes, looking at each other, their faces etched with the same word—absurd!
The one knocking... was Su Ze?
Here to get the explosives?
Now?!
"Impossible... Absolutely impossible!"
Qiao Yunfeng was the first to react. He lowered his voice, his face filled with shock and doubt. "It's swarming with zombies outside! How could he possibly get from the fourth floor to the tenth?!"
"Yeah, sis, could this be a trap? Or maybe a new type of zombie that can mimic human speech?"
Another cousin chimed in nervously, already gripping the steel pipe beside him.
After midnight, the zombies respawned, their roars echoing throughout the entire building.
At a time like this, crossing six floors, let alone standing in the corridor for a minute with the door open, was tantamount to suicide!
Qiao Yunge's heart was also pounding wildly, but she was calmer than her younger brothers.
She remembered that man's voice very clearly.
She took a deep breath and didn't respond immediately.
Instead, she tiptoed to the door and cautiously peered through the peephole.
With just one glance, her pupils constricted sharply!
The corridor outside was dim and bloody.
Dense hordes of zombies surged like a tide.
And within that putrid wave, a figure, holding a long spear, was engaged in a... no, it couldn't be called a battle.
It was a one-sided slaughter!
Su Ze's figure moved as fast as a ghost. Every thrust of his long spear carried a sharp whistling sound, piercing through zombie skulls with unerring accuracy.
A sweeping motion, the long spear - edge arcing, and several rotting heads soared into the air.
An upward flick, and a zombie that had just lunged close was sent flying from the chin, its head shattering while its body was still mid-air.
He didn't even make much noise, his movements clean, crisp, and terrifyingly efficient.
The surrounding zombies rushed at him frantically, yet they couldn't even touch the hem of his clothes!
This scene was a hundred times more shocking than when Su Ze had taken the explosives barehanded during the day!
"Sis? What's it like? What's really out there?" Qiao Yunfeng urged anxiously, seeing his sister hadn't reacted for a long time.
Qiao Yunge snapped back to reality, her face deathly pale. She almost instinctively pulled back the door bolt.
"Sis, what are you doing!" Qiao Yunfeng cried out in alarm, but it was too late to stop her.
*Click.*
The heavy Level 3 Gate was pulled open a crack.
The thick scent of blood and the roars of zombies instantly flooded in!
"Quick! Shut the door!"
"Sis!"
The other five people in the Dormitory were scared out of their wits, thrown into chaos.
Qiao Yunge ignored them and instead yanked the door wide open!
"Su Ze! Get in here!" she shouted at the figure outside.
And at that very moment, the other five people in the Dormitory,
through the wide-open door, saw the hellish scene outside and the man strolling through that hell as if it were a garden.
All their voices caught in their throats.
They saw Su Ze, hearing the shout, glance back at them, showing no immediate intention to enter.
His wrist flicked, and the long spear became a blur.
Every swing stirred up a bloody storm.
Rows upon rows of zombies fell, turning into shimmering copper coins littering the ground.
And he wasn't even breathing hard.
Unhurriedly, he dispatched the last few zombies around him, scanned the area to confirm their Dormitory was no longer threatened, and then strode over.
He stopped at the doorway, making no move to enter, and simply stretched out his hand.
"I'm here for the explosives."
Qiao Yunge stared at him, her mind blank. The words tumbled out, "Are you crazy? You're still going back out?!"
"Su Ze! We know you used the serum, you're not afraid of infection!"
Qiao Yunfeng also rushed forward, his face a mix of unconcealed shock and urgency. "But the zombies outside are endless, they'll wear you down to death! Get in here, quick!"
His feelings towards Su Ze were extremely complex right now—a mix of the previous hostility and being awed by the other's inhuman strength.
But no matter what, he didn't think anyone could survive an entire night of the zombie horde.
"It's fine." Su Ze shook his head, seemingly too lazy to explain. "Give me the stuff."
His gaze was calm, yet it carried a force that was impossible to refuse.
Qiao Yunge looked at him, then at the still-advancing tide of zombies behind him.
Gritting her teeth, she turned and retrieved five crudely made explosives bundled with tape from her backpack.
Su Ze took them. Without even glancing at the situation behind him, he simply looked down to examine the items in his hand.

...
The data panel was exactly the same as the previous one. No corners had been cut.
In the few seconds he was checking, several more zombies roared and lunged at him!
"Look out!"
The people in the Dormitory cried out in unison.
But Su Ze seemed to have eyes in the back of his head. Without turning, he swung his spear backwards!
*Thump! Thump! Thump!*
The shaft of the long spear struck three zombie heads solidly, and three rotting skulls burst apart on impact.
After doing this, he finally stored the explosives in his player inventory.
Then, he lifted his eyes to look at the six people in the Dormitory who were now dumbstruck, and let out a light laugh.
"The goods are up to standard. I'm off."
He turned around and, as a courtesy, pulled their heavy gate shut for them.
*Thud.*
A dull sound.
The outside world was sealed off once more.
Inside the Dormitory, six people, six pairs of eyes, stared fixedly at the tightly closed gate, unable to utter a single sound for a long time.
"He... he..." Qiao Yunfeng's lips trembled, but he couldn't form a complete sentence.
"Just now... did I see it right? He didn't seem to have a single injury on him..."
One of her cousins rubbed his eyes, his face full of disbelief.
"That guy... is he really human? Just... how strong is he?" Qiao Yunge felt her mind was in a daze.
No one answered her question.
Because everyone was still immersed in the incomprehensible scene they had just witnessed.
One man, one spear, in the midnight zombie horde,
killing his way from the fourth floor to the tenth, just to get a few explosives.
And then, killing his way back?
What the hell... is this something an ordinary person could do?
...
Meanwhile.
Su Ze didn't leave immediately.
He leisurely collected all the copper coins dropped by the dozen or so zombies he had just killed.
Over a hundred copper coins in total. Even a mosquito's leg has some meat on it.
After finishing this, he once again emitted a few dry, rasping grinding sounds.
The surrounding zombies that had begun to close in on him all halted their movements simultaneously.
Their crimson eyes swept over Su Ze. The savagery and bloodlust in their gaze rapidly faded, replaced by a kind of confusion.
Soon, they lost their target, turned around, and resumed randomly attacking other Dormitory doors.
Su Ze's figure once again melted silently into the zombie horde...
