Chapter 7: The Talented Woman Yao Qingya! The Incompetent Wife?

In the corridor, Su Ze strode forward.

As he walked, he sent messages to Yao Qingya through the private chat channel.

Yao Qingya, a talented woman from the Literature Department of Jinghai University, possessed both literary grace and beauty, and was known as the "Goddess of Literature."

The bond effect previewed by the system was gaining 1 to 3 pieces of intelligence daily.

Su Ze pondered that in this apocalyptic game, the value of intelligence might exceed imagination.

He sent an inquiry: "Where are you? What's your current situation?"

Soon, Yao Qingya's reply came back.

[Private Chat: Yao Qingya: I'm in Dormitory 266 on the first floor. They've tied me up. But don't worry, there's no one else in the Dormitory.]

Su Ze's footsteps paused slightly.

[Private Chat: Yao Qingya: The six people in their Dormitory are all normal males with a base Combat Power of 36. They opened a four-star gift pack, which contained an intelligence slip.]

[Private Chat: Yao Qingya: The slip says, 'Supplies can be found on campus, including food, fresh water, weapons, blueprints, skill books, etc., and random supplies will refresh every night at midnight.']

[Private Chat: Yao Qingya: So all six of them went out to look for supplies, wanting to seize the initiative and get a head start on development in this last hour of the novice period. They also said they would keep me locked in the Dormitory forever to be... be their plaything.]

Su Ze looked at this message, his brow arching slightly.

He thought that the apocalyptic game shouldn't have such an obvious loophole that allowed extra people to hide in the dormitories; if that were the case, the limit on the number of tenants would become a joke.

However, none of that mattered anymore.

He quickened his pace, his destination already ahead.

Dormitory 266, first floor.

Without the slightest hesitation, Su Ze raised his hand and smashed it against the decaying wooden door.

*Bang!*

With a loud crash, the wooden door shattered, wood chips flying everywhere.

With just one hit, the wooden door with a durability of 3 was ruined.

He stepped inside, his gaze sweeping across the interior of the Dormitory.

Three rusty bunk beds and dim lighting—it was no different from his Dormitory 404.

Except, on the innermost bottom bunk, a woman was tied up with hemp rope, a cloth stuffed in her mouth. Her elegant face was stained with tear tracks, and her eyes were filled with terror and helplessness.

She wore a simple floral dress with a thin cardigan over it. Her long hair was somewhat disheveled from struggling, but even so, it couldn't hide her pure, scholarly aura.

She had an oval face, willow-leaf eyebrows over slender eyes, a straight and elegant nose, and tightly pursed cherry lips. Her eyes held unshed tears, yet also revealed a bone-deep stubbornness.

It was a type of classical beauty born from being well-read and filled with poetic grace, completely different from Jiang Yuwan's intellectual 'older sister' temperament, yet equally captivating.

It was indeed Yao Qingya.

She looked up, and the moment she saw Su Ze, her previously dull eyes suddenly lit up, revealing uncontrollable joy.

Su Ze didn't step forward to untie her immediately.

He looked at Yao Qingya, his tone calm but carrying an indisputable weight.

"Now, there are two paths before you."

"First, become my woman, move into my Dormitory, and I'll give you tenant status."

"Second, stay here, wait for those six men to return, and continue being their 'only one'."

Although he would definitely take her with him regardless of her choice, he still had to maintain the proper posture.

Hearing this, Yao Qingya's body trembled violently.

She naturally understood the massive difference between these two choices.

Being one of his women at least offered a final shred of dignity and a tenant status;

As for what she would face when those men returned, she didn't even dare to imagine it.

She hurriedly nodded her head desperately, the tears in her eyes flowing even more fiercely, but those were tears of relief.

Su Ze stepped forward and briskly tore the tape off her mouth.

Then he untied the ropes binding her hands and feet.

The rope marks left red imprints on her fair skin, a shocking sight.

"Thank you... Junior Su Ze, thank you..." Yao Qingya's voice was hoarse and tearful, filled with gratitude.

Su Ze ignored her thanks, his gaze sweeping over the two iron bunk beds in the Dormitory.

"Since I'm already here..."

He walked directly to one of the beds and chose to dismantle it.

[Ding! You have dismantled a rusty iron bunk bed. Obtained Iron Material *5, Wood material *10!]

With a flash of light, the bed disappeared instantly, leaving only scattered materials.

He followed suit and dismantled the other bed.

[Ding! You have dismantled a rusty iron bunk bed. Obtained Iron Material *5, Wood material *10!]

Afterward, Su Ze put all the materials into his player inventory, the wood and Iron Materials each taking up one slot.

Then he tried to put the last bed into his inventory.

[Ding! Stored Rusty Iron Bunk Bed *1!]

It actually worked; that saved some trouble.

Having done this, he thought for a moment, hesitating whether to clear out the neighboring and opposite dormitories to silence any witnesses, preventing the six men from Dormitory 266 from coming to seek revenge.

But after checking the time and feeling his Combat Power which had just risen to 38, he ultimately abandoned the idea.

The other party could return at any time.

Moreover, there were too many surrounding dormitories, and he didn't have the strength to clear them all out.

In any case, their door was broken; they might not survive tonight's zombie invasion. It was better to head back early to activate the bond.

He turned and said to Yao Qingya, "Let's go."

Yao Qingya obediently followed behind Su Ze, leaving the Dormitory that had filled her with dread.

When Su Ze brought Yao Qingya back to Dormitory 404 on the 4th floor, the two women suddenly faced each other.

"Yao Qingya?"

Yao Qingya also saw the tied-up Jiang Yuwan, a hint of astonishment appearing in her eyes.

"Counselor Jiang, you... why are you tied up too?" Yao Qingya asked in surprise.

Jiang Yuwan sighed softly and gave a somewhat helpless smile.

"Student Su Ze is quite cautious. He was afraid I might let wolves into the house while he was away."

She lifted her bound hands and looked at Su Ze, her tone carrying a hint of resentment: "Now, can you finally untie me?"

Su Ze, however, didn't pay attention to her, instead glancing at the time.

There were only fifteen minutes left before the zombies appeared at midnight.

He had to activate the bond as quickly as possible.

After all, once the zombies arrived, he wouldn't be able to have an intimate "interaction."

At the same time, he wanted to avoid passing midnight and wasting today's chance to obtain intelligence.

"Qing Ya, come here," Su Ze said in a low voice.

Yao Qingya's body trembled, and she walked over somewhat confused.

Su Ze directly took out the bunk bed he had just collected from Dormitory 266 from his inventory.

The bed appeared out of thin air, placed in the center of the Dormitory.

After turning off the lights, he picked her up and walked to the newly appeared bed.

"Junior Su Ze, you... mm... no, Counselor Jiang is still here!"

"..."

"Ngh... be gentler, I—I don't have combat experience..."

...

In the darkness, the creaking of the bed frame continued, mixed with faint panting.

Jiang Yuwan, who hadn't been untied yet, sat in her original spot, her body stiff.

Listening to the sounds coming from the darkness, her cheeks gradually grew hot.

This dog man! He was actually doing it right in front of her...

And he still hadn't helped her untie the rope!

Wait, this kind of scene...

In her mind, she suddenly and inexplicably associated it with certain movie clips.

An incapable husband...

Oh, no, it was an incapable wife...
