179: Chapter 179 Let's Go Together

Lin Mo did not answer.

He merely raised his longyuan blade slowly, the tip pointing obliquely at the ground, golden-red lightning silently dancing along the edge.

That silence was more infuriating than any mockery.

Aiken's eye twitched, and the divine runes inside his power armor instantly operated at full capacity. Dark golden light spread from the core in his chest to his limbs, and intricate holy patterns emerged on the surface of the armor, wriggling slowly as if alive.

"Good, very good."

Aiken's voice came through the armor, raspy with the sound of grinding metal.

"Since you won't talk, I'll beat you until you do!"

Boom!

The scorched earth beneath Aiken's feet exploded into a deep crater, and he transformed into a dark golden meteor, rushing toward Lin Mo. This time, his speed was at least thirty percent faster than before, and the divine energy concentrated on his gauntlets even caused distorted ripples in the surrounding air.

Lin Mo stood his ground, motionless.

It was only when Aiken's fist was a mere three feet from his face that he sidestepped.

The dark golden fist grazed past the tip of his nose, the force of the wind stinging his cheeks. In the split second they passed each other, Lin Mo's blade had already slashed out horizontally.

The longyuan blade traced a perfect arc, striking precisely at the joint under the armpit of Aiken's armor, the weakest point in the coverage of the divine runes.

Clang!

Sparks flew everywhere.

Aiken let out a muffled grunt as he was sent flying sideways by the strike, sliding over a dozen zhang across the wasteland before crashing into and collapsing a section of an abandoned concrete wall.

He looked down at his left arm armor, where a one-inch-deep blade mark had appeared, and the dark golden light of the runes was leaking out from the crack like ominous blood.

"Tier 6..." Aiken raised his head, his eyes having completely changed.

"No, even Tier 6 Awakeners don't have this kind of explosive power. What kind of monster are you?"

Lin Mo still didn't speak.

He sheathed his blade, took a step, and walked toward the hangar entrance.

His target was clear: the two people inside.

"Stop!"

Aiken roared, bursting up from the ruins with his arms crossed in front of his chest, and the core on his armor's chest bloomed with blinding light. A light shield made of pure divine energy unfurled before him, with complex religious runes appearing on the shield.

"Divine Art: Holy Wall!"

The dark golden light shield stood across the hangar entrance like an impassable chasm.

Lin Mo's footsteps finally paused for a moment.

He looked at the light shield, golden-red slit pupils flashing deep within his eyes.

Then, he gripped his blade with both hands and raised it high above his head.

The Thunder Mark on the longyuan blade surged instantly, shifting from pale gold to incandescent white, and the air around the blade twisted from the high heat, emitting crackling, explosive sounds.

"Break."

With that word, the blade light descended.

There were no fancy moves, just the simplest vertical slash.

But when that blade slashed out, it was as if a golden-red dragon shadow roared out from within the blade light, slamming heavily into the dark golden Holy Wall.

Boom!!!

The Holy Wall shattered.

Aiken was struck as if by lightning, sent flying backward again. This time, he spat out a mouthful of blood; even with the armor's cushioning, that violent power of thunder still injured his internal organs.

He crashed heavily to the ground, the shoulder armor plate of his power armor completely shattered, revealing the charred flesh beneath.

Inside the hangar.

Munro's fingers paused on the maintenance panel for 0.1 seconds.

The tremors outside passed through the thick concrete walls, shaking the energy block in his hand so hard it nearly dropped.

"Aiken is injured."

Munro stood up and looked toward the gate.

His armor was heavier than Aiken's, with extra reactive armor installed on the shoulders and knees, and a two-meter-long ship-cutting blade hanging from the weapon rack on his back.

He looked back toward the depths of the hangar.

Ji Wuchen and Gu Yunting were bound to two load-bearing columns by electromagnetic chains, covered in blood but still conscious. Seeing Munro's movements, a strange glint flashed in both their eyes.

"It seems your savior is stronger than imagined."

Munro's voice was calm. He lifted the ship-cutting blade, the blade tracing a cold arc in the air.

"Unfortunately, he cannot get in."

After speaking, he walked toward the gate, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly.

Meanwhile, at the left rear of the hangar, at the crack pointed out by Old Zhou, a slender figure was silently slipping inside.

Shen Yi pressed against the cold concrete wall, holding a short sword in her hand, with pale cyan spiritual patterns winding around the blade. She kept her breathing extremely light, almost merging with the surrounding airflow.

She saw Munro's departing back, and also saw Ji Wuchen and Gu Yunting locked in the depths.

Ji Wuchen's lips moved without a sound, but Shen Yi understood the lip-reading—

"Careful, it's a trap."

Shen Yi nodded slightly, her gaze falling on the electromagnetic chains binding the two. High-voltage current flowed through those chains, and they were connected to an alarm system; if forced to break them, it would immediately alert Munro.

She needed a little time.

Outside, Lin Mo had already walked to the hangar entrance.

He looked at Aiken lying on the ground, then toward Munro, who was slowly walking out from the shadows of the gate.

Two sets of power armor, one severely injured and one at full strength, blocked the only path to the hangar.

Munro raised the ship-cutting blade, the tip pointing at Lin Mo, his voice low and cold:

"The number one genius of the Great Xia is truly worthy of his reputation!"

"You are strong, strong enough to make both Aiken and me take action simultaneously."

"This is your honor, and also your funeral."

Aiken struggled to climb up from the ground, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. The contempt in his eyes had completely vanished, replaced by a frenzied fighting spirit. He tore off the damaged shoulder plate of his armor, revealing the skin beneath covered in divine tattoos.

"Munro, don't bother with capturing him alive."

"Kill him directly."

Munro nodded slightly: "That was my intention."

Two terrifying auras erupted simultaneously.

A silver-white energy blade lit up on Munro's ship-cutting blade, three meters long; Aiken's fists re-condensed dark golden divine light, this time even more intense than before, even tinged with a hint of blood color.

Lin Mo stood between the two, his left hand gripping the scabbard, his right hand pressing on the hilt.

He took a deep breath.

Dragon scales silently spread from his neck to his cheeks, and his golden-red slit pupils ignited completely, as if molten lava were flowing within them.

"Come at me together."

Lin Mo's voice was soft, yet it reached everyone's ears clearly.

"I'm in a hurry."

The moment his words fell, deep in the hangar, the short sword in Shen Yi's hand suddenly lit up with blinding cyan light.

She no longer hid, slashing her sword at the electromagnetic chains!

At the same time, Lin Mo drew his blade, facing the joint attack of the two Temple Knights!

Three forces collided with a roar in front of the abandoned hangar, the shockwave blowing away all the ruins within a hundred zhang, turning them into dust and debris filling the sky.
