190: Chapter 190 Getting Involved

In the center of the battlefield, the rain fell like a waterfall.

Lin Mo's figure had turned into pure azure-gold lightning, flashing wildly within the blockade of the six Temple Knights.

Blade glows crisscrossed, each strike carrying the power of wind and thunder, carving out momentary vacuums in the rain.

But this time, the response from Edmond and the others was terrifyingly calm.

"Sacred Radiance Holy Shield — Full Output!"

Buzz—!

Six dark-gold runes lit up simultaneously on the power armor, the Divine Art Origin linking through resonance circuits to form a perfect energy cycle.

A hemispherical light shield enveloped the six of them, with liquid-like Holy Light flowing across its surface.

Lin Mo's blade struck it, only causing a ripple; the attack power was distributed among the six of them, and the scattered energy was actually absorbed and converted by the shield, in turn healing the knights' injuries.

"Dammit... this turtle shell is too hard!" Lin Mo struck the shield with his blade, the impact numbing his hand, yet leaving only a fleeting white mark.

"It's useless. The Sacred Radiance Holy Shield Fusion of six people's power regenerates in a cycle! The harder you attack, the more you consume. We can outlast you until you die! Unless you completely step into the Seventh Rank, you will undoubtedly lose!" Edmond stood in the center of the shield, grinning savagely.

Lin Mo's brow furrowed as he activated [Instant Shadow] in succession!

His figure appeared in six positions simultaneously, six azure blade glows striking that crack like raging Dragons!

Clang clang clang clang clang clang—!

Six loud bangs exploded almost at once, and the crack widened instantly, but the six knights shouted in unison, dark-gold Divine Art flames surged out, and the crack was restored as if new.

Meanwhile, Lin Mo's figure paused slightly in mid-air.

That pause was extremely brief, lasting less than half a second.

The people below the city walls couldn't see it, and Edmond, immersed in his mockery, didn't notice either.

But Lin Mo knew himself that his Sea of Consciousness was on the verge of exhaustion.

The stiffness after each teleportation grew longer, the edges of his vision began to darken, and a ringing in his ears surged like a tide.

"His Mental Energy can't hold out!" The chain-blade knight captured this moment and couldn't help but grin savagely.

Watching from a distance, Augustus's tense shoulders finally relaxed, and the corner of his mouth curled back into that compassionate yet mocking arc: "Edmond, you've done well. Don't rush, keep consuming his Mental Energy! When his Mental Energy is exhausted, it will be his end!"

Below the city walls, Han Xiao's single eye widened, his metal staff creaking under his grip: "Not good... kid, stop! You can't force it!"

Ji Wuchen struggled to get up but was held down firmly by Gu Yunting: "Don't go! What could you possibly achieve up there besides dragging him down..."

"Don't stop me! Even if I can't beat those bullshit knights, I can at least help him draw some fire!" Ji Wuchen said, his eyes bloodshot.

"He hates it most when people cause trouble for him, as if you didn't know. Besides, who knows what trump cards he still has left? Don't add to the mess and make things worse!" Gu Yunting said.

Ji Wuchen shuddered at the words, staring fixedly at the gold-red figure below the city.

Indeed, no one knew how many trump cards Lin Mo had. If they rushed in to help, they might actually cause trouble for him.

In the very center of the battlefield.

Lin Mo's figure paused in mid-air, nearly falling.

He looked down and coughed up a mouthful of blood; as the blood hit the ground, a faint thread of gold light mixed into the blood-water and was instantly diluted by the rain.

Another teleportation.

The longyuan blade struck the shield but failed to cause even a ripple; the blade was repelled, Lin Mo's hand split open, and blood flowed down the hilt.

If Edmond were careful enough, he would notice that in this continuous stream of attacks, every strike from Lin Mo landed on the exact same node of the shield, with an error of no more than half an inch.

"Give up!" Edmond laughed wildly. "You can't break it!"

Refusing to believe it, Lin Mo tried to teleport again, but the next second, a needle-like pain shot through the depths of his Sea of Consciousness.

Instant Shadow was abruptly interrupted!

Lin Mo's body fell from mid-air, kneeling on one knee, rain mixed with sweat dripping from his chin.

He lowered his head, his chest heaving violently, looking as if he were at the end of his rope.

"Now!" Edmond let out a long-awaited roar, his voice filled with release and ecstasy after being suppressed.

"Release the Holy Shield! Shift from defense to offense! Sacred Radiance · Spear of Judgment!"

Boom—!

The Sacred Radiance Holy Shield vanished instantly, and six figures pounced like tigers out of a cage toward the stumbling youth with phantom Dragon wings.

Edmond was the fastest, his Dragon spear condensing black destructive lightning—a killing strike fueled by burning essence blood!

"You little bastard! Weren't you very arrogant just now?!" His face was distorted like a demon, the spear tip pointing straight at Lin Mo's heart from behind.

"Go to hell!"

Puchi!

The sound of the Dragon spear piercing flesh was exceptionally clear.

The spear tip entered from Lin Mo's right chest and exited through the front, dark-gold Divine Art flames exploding inside his body, scorching his internal organs.

The chain-blade wrapped around Lin Mo's left leg and twisted violently, the sound of bone shattering clearly audible.

The dual-sword female knight's blades tore two deep wounds into his back, exposing bone, while the halberd knight's heavy blow smashed into his spine, sending Lin Mo plummeting straight down from the air!

Bang!

Lin Mo slammed heavily into the iron flagpole on the city wall, snapping the pole, then tumbled onto the city bricks, dragging a long trail of blood through the rain.

He tried to crawl up but collapsed again, spitting out a mouthful of black blood mixed with fragments of internal organs.

Large patches of azure Dragon scales peeled off, revealing a bloody back, and the piercing wound in his chest was shocking to behold, with Divine Art flames sizzling at the edges of the wound.

Edmond and the other five landed slowly, surrounding him in a fan shape, looking down at Lin Mo in the pool of blood.

They were also injured, but compared to Lin Mo's miserable state, it was negligible.

"Kid, the battle is over. You lost!" Edmond stepped on Lin Mo's shoulder, violently pinning the youth who was trying to crawl back to the ground.

"You are indeed strong. To force the six of us to join forces at the Fifth Rank, and even almost break the Sacred Radiance Holy Shield... you have enough to be proud of."

He leaned down close to Lin Mo's blood-stained face, wanting to admire the deathly stillness in his prey's eyes.

But Lin Mo's eyes were not deathly still.

In those Azure Dragon pupils, something seemed to be burning.

It wasn't a final burst of energy before death, but more like a lamp that had been lit long ago, just waiting for this gust of wind.

Edmond frowned, that sense of unease returning.

But he suppressed the thought and applied force with his foot, crushing the bones in Lin Mo's shoulder.

"Hahaha!" The chain-blade knight laughed wildly. "The Great Xia's number one Genius? Nothing more than this!"

"Chief, let me cut off his head! To avenge Mark and Leon!" The dual-sword female knight's eyes flashed with venom.

Augustus flew over slowly, his blonde hair unmoved by the night wind, looking at Lin Mo who was like a dead dog at his feet, and shook his head slightly: "What a pity for such a good Physical Body. Edmond, remove his limbs and bring him back to the Divine Kingdom."

"Yes, Legion Commander," Edmond replied respectfully, raising his Dragon spear and aiming the tip at Lin Mo's Dantian, slowly thrusting it down.

"Did you hear? The Legion Commander is merciful and will leave you a path to live. Now, I'll first cripple your Dantian..."

Below the city wall, Han Xiao let out a desperate roar: "No, follow me to rescue him quickly!!"

Shen Yi's vision went dark, and she nearly fainted.

Ji Wuchen and Gu Yunting's eyes were bloodshot as they immediately leaped from the city wall, trying to save Lin Mo and bring him back into the city before Edmond could kill him.

However, in this moment of absolute silence, when everyone thought the outcome was decided—

Edmond's spear tip was only half an inch away from Lin Mo's skin.

Below the city wall, Han Xiao's single eye suddenly widened to its limit. He stared fixedly at Lin Mo's lowered face and suddenly saw the blood-stained corner of his mouth—that slight arc.

A roar that didn't sound human erupted from Han Xiao's throat: "Don't touch him!!"

The youth pinned in the pool of blood moved his lowered head slightly...

The arc at the blood-stained corner of his mouth was finally fully exposed to everyone at this moment—it was the expression of a hunter who had caught his prey.

"Great Xia has an old saying: Setting Oneself as the Bait!" Lin Mo's voice clearly reached everyone's ears.

"Without placing oneself in a death trap, how could I lure you into the trap!"

Edmond's heart jumped violently, an extreme chill sweeping through his whole body as he immediately pulled back and flew dozens of meters away.

And Lin Mo's previously dim Azure Dragon pupils were now burning with golden flames!

That was the final light ignited by burning his life Origin and Soul power!

"Quick movement, but at this distance, you should also be... doomed, shouldn't you?" Lin Mo's voice was like ice from the nine underworlds!

"Not good! Retreat quickly!!" Augustus's face finally changed, and he let out a horrified roar.

But it was too late.

The fingers of Lin Mo's left hand had already turned into five azure-gold Dragon blades, each finger bone burning with a gang-blade of golden blood-flame.

He didn't even look at the three knights pouncing from the side; his eyes were fixed on Edmond alone from start to finish.

"Hidden Dragon... in the Abyss!!!"

Roar—!!!

The Dragon's roar resounded through heaven and earth!

Five ancient raging Dragons, breaking free from their shackles, carved five pitch-black trails of death in the Void Realm!

In this instant, the entire world seemed to be gripped tightly by an invisible giant hand, and space shattered inch by inch like a broken mirror, revealing the pitch-black void behind it!

"No—!!!"

Seeing this terrifying scene before him, Edmond let out the most desperate roar of his life, his four light wings burning frantically as he tried to pull back and retreat.

But space had already shattered into pieces like mirror shards, leaving him with nowhere to hide.

The seventh-generation modified power armor he was so proud of was as fragile as a withered leaf before this claw.

A massive wound extended from his left shoulder all the way to his right waist, internal organs and blood gushing out.

He could even see his broken ribs and writhing intestines through the wound.

Behind him, the web of destruction woven in the Void Realm had already enveloped the three knights who didn't have time to retreat.

The dual-sword female knight's scream had barely begun before it stopped abruptly.

The last thing she saw before dying wasn't a Dragon, but her own sword.

That sword, which had almost wounded Ji Wuchen earlier, was ground into fragments by the Dragon shadow, and then the fragments flew back, piercing through her body before the Dragon shadow did.

Her upper body still held the posture of swinging her sword, but her lower body had already been separated, five smooth cuts slicing her diagonally into six pieces.

The chain-blade knight fared even worse.

The Dragon shadow ground through him segment by segment, from his fingertips to his wrist, then from his wrist to his elbow, and from his elbow to his shoulder.

He watched his chain-blade being ground to dust by the Dragon shadow, watched his arm disappear inch by inch, and finally, he was torn into a mist of blood, without even a single intact bone left.

The other few knights, being far enough away, barely managed to react and raised their shields to block, but the Sacred Radiance Holy Shield had already shattered along with Edmond's breastplate.

The shockwave swept through, and several people were blown hundreds of feet away, crashing into the ruins with their lives uncertain.

Further away, Augustus retreated violently, the compassion and composure on his face completely shattered as he frantically waved the scepter in his hand, laying down seven layers of Sacred Barriers in front of him.

But even across a distance of a hundred feet, the aftershock of those five claw marks swept over, still tearing the outermost five layers of barriers to shreds.

He knelt behind the sixth barrier, his blonde hair disheveled by the air currents, a trace of golden blood leaking from the corner of his mouth.

His eyes no longer held that high-and-mighty compassion!

"Could this be... power above the Ninth Rank?!"

At this moment, Augustus suddenly discovered that the power above the Ninth Rank he had always pursued was now blooming completely from a Fifth Rank youth.

Lin Mo stood up.

He dragged his broken body, walking step by step toward Edmond, who was kneeling on the ground.

Every step dragged a long trail of blood through the rain.

Half of a broken spear shaft was still stuck in his chest, and his left leg was twisted at a bizarre angle, but his eyes... were terrifyingly calm.

Edmond slumped in the pool of blood, trying to crawl backward, but his spine had been severed by the third claw, and he had completely lost sensation in his lower body.

He looked up at the approaching Lin Mo, and fear finally appeared on his distorted face.

"You... you can't kill me... I am the Temple Chief... I am..."

Lin Mo walked up to him, knelt on one knee, and gently pressed his blood-stained left hand against Edmond's chest.

Those five Dragon blades were still dripping with blood, and one of them was resting exactly over Edmond's heart.

Below the city wall, everyone stared blankly at the figure kneeling in the center of the blood pool.

Han Xiao's single eye shed murky tears as he knelt heavily on the ground, laughing wildly at the sky: "Hahaha! Good! Good kid!!"

Shen Yi cried and laughed at the same time, nearly collapsing to the ground.

Ji Wuchen stared fixedly at Lin Mo's figure, his whole body trembling: "This guy won... dammit, that scared me to death just now. I knew it, this guy definitely had another trump card..."

At this moment—

Boom!!!

An indescribable, terrifying pressure suddenly descended from the sky!

That pressure was so strong it instantly dispersed the dark clouds in the sky, evaporated the rain, and directly crushed the remnants of Edmond and the others' Sacred Radiance Domain to pieces!

Augustus retreated a hundred feet, his face changing drastically: "This aura... an Eighth Rank Awakener?! No... the Eighth Rank couldn't possibly have this kind of..."

He couldn't finish his sentence.

Because he found that the person above the sky was staring at him with Killing Intent.

"Augustus..."

"A dignified Seventh Rank Awakener like you actually disregarded your face to deal with a junior of my Great Xia. Are you tired of living?"

Vice Hall Master Zhao Shanhe stared coldly at Augustus.

Han Xiao's single eye still had tears, but the corners of his mouth were stretched to his ears.

He looked up, his smile looking worse than a cry, and cursed loudly at the sky:

"Vice Hall Master... you're finally fucking here!"
