1053: Chapter 1052 Who Will Be the First to Die?

Among the slave ranks, many turned pale and their legs went weak under this manifold pressure.

The cruelty of reality far exceeded their worst imaginings; this was no path to escape, but rather a step into a much larger death trap that had long been laid open.

However, standing at the eye of the storm, Wu Zhankong seemed completely indifferent to the sky-filling killing intent and the scrutiny of the powerhouses.

The wild wind blew through his flame-like crimson hair, making it look like a dancing battle flag.

The aura around him was not suppressed; instead, it became increasingly turbulent and surging. Faintly, the low, primal, and violent roars of beasts emanated from within him—no, it seemed to seep out from every inch of his skin and every wisp of his boiling blood energy!

That was not an actual sound wave, but a vibrational pressure acting directly upon the level of the Divine Soul.

Thunder Horn and the others closest to him bore the brunt of it, feeling as if their hearts were being struck by invisible heavy hammers. Their blood flow accelerated, and a mixture of primal survival instinct and... excitement surged within them.

They looked at Wu Zhankong's back in astonishment; that straight spine seemed to be brewing a power capable of tearing the sky asunder.

The dozen or so powerhouses in the sky gradually withdrew their playful expressions, replaced by a touch of gravity.

"Strength Path and Blood Path? No... it's even more ancient..."

"It's like some kind of Bloodline Origin is awakening. Interesting."

Wu Zhankong slowly raised his head, his pupils—tinged with a faint purple light—sweeping across the dozen figures in the sky before glancing over the dense array of cannon muzzles and soldiers on the ground.

The corners of his mouth curled into a cold and wild arc.

"Quite a grand display."

His voice was not loud, yet it clearly suppressed the low hum of the energy machinery and the sound of the wind. "All this just to stop me and this group of 'cargo' in your eyes?"

A powerhouse suspended in mid-air, covered in dark-gold biological carapace and resembling a humanoid beetle, spoke in a muffled voice with the texture of grinding metal.

"When the rules of the Chaotic Star Domain are broken, they must be mended with blood.

You, and these slaves who dared to follow you in revolt, are the price."

Wu Zhankong laughed. The echoes of beast roars in his laughter became clearer, causing the surrounding space to begin to warp slightly.

"The price?" He took a step forward, and the ground beneath him cracked silently. "I'm afraid you won't be able to afford my price."

Before his voice had even faded, the boiling aura around him suddenly exploded!

It was no longer a faint beast roar, but a clear and soul-shaking torrent formed by the roars of countless Vicious Beasts!

His crimson hair stood on end, dancing wildly like flames. Behind him, the Void Realm distorted violently, and the vague images of countless massive, hideous, and terrifying beast shadows wreathed in primal auras emerged.

Some roared at the heavens, others trampled the stars; though they were but illusory projections, their destructive will had already spread out like something physical!

"ROAR—!!!"

The Dark Star ground forces nearby were hit as if by a heavy blow. Many front-line soldiers clutched their heads and screamed as blood seeped from their facial orifices, and some even had their Divine Souls collapse directly, their weapons falling from their hands.

The airship arrays in the sky also showed signs of chaos, their energy shields flickering uncertainly.

The dozen powerhouses all changed facial expressions simultaneously!

Because they sensed that Wu Zhankong's aura had actually broken through its limits at this moment, reaching Tier 5!

"Take him down!" the humanoid beetle powerhouse shouted harshly.

However, Wu Zhankong was faster than them!

He didn't even look at the ground forces or the airships; his target from the start was those dozen most threatening people in the sky!

Exerting force through his feet, the ground collapsed into a massive crater, and Wu Zhankong's figure had already vanished from the spot.

In the next instant, he appeared in mid-air, charging directly at a Tier 5 Powerhouse shrouded in an energy halo who was closest to him.

There were no fancy techniques, only the simplest and most violent punch thrown out!

Wherever the fist passed, beast shadows followed, and the space emitted an overburdened sonic boom!

That powerhouse was terrified, desperately fueling his protective halo while summoning a crystalline shield to block his front.

"CRACK!"

The shield was instantly covered in cracks, and the halo distorted and dimmed violently.

That powerhouse spat blood and was sent flying, retreating dozens of steps before barely maintaining his footing. Feeling the terrifying force coming from his chest, his eyes were filled with disbelief.

"Follow the Lord! Fight our way out!"

On the ground, Thunder Horn's blood boiled. With a wild roar, he brandished his weapon wreathed in electric arcs and was the first to charge into the enemy ranks that had fallen into chaos due to Wu Zhankong's pressure.

Dozens of powerhouses like Jade Scale and Stone Mountain roared in anger and followed closely behind. Like a sharp arrow, they hammered into the encirclement of the various factions of the Chaotic Star Domain!

The great battle erupted completely in the core streets of the Chaotic Star Domain!

And Wu Zhankong's figure, like an ancient Vicious Beast descending, had already slammed into the battle group of the sky powerhouses. His crimson hair was like blood and his beast roars shook the heavens as he faced over ten high-tier powerhouses alone!

"Wu Zhankong, I didn't expect you to actually Breakthrough to Tier 5 in such a short time; you do have some talent! Are you willing to join my Myriad Joy City?

Resources, status, Divine Abilities, beauties—you can have it all!"

Someone was not stingy with praise and extended an olive branch. After all, when the First Prince of the Black Cloud Empire, Black Abyss, was being auctioned, Wu Zhankong's name had already spread throughout the entire Chaotic Star Domain and even several surrounding Star Domains.

Naturally, any faction with some power had conducted an investigation on him, but no matter how they searched, they couldn't find where Wu Zhankong came from. It was as if he had appeared out of thin air.

However, his strength back then was only at the middle to Late Stage of Tier 4. Although not weak, no one had truly taken him seriously.

But things were different now. The current Wu Zhankong was a Tier 5 Powerhouse. Even if he had only recently achieved his Breakthrough, he was still Tier 5, and a suspected Tier 5 Body Cultivator at that.

Such a Tier 5 Powerhouse, even if he hadn't mastered a Middle Divine Ability for the time being, his strength wouldn't be much weaker.

Furthermore, they had only sensed something unusual at the Dark Star Auction House and came to investigate the situation with some thoughts of fishing in troubled waters; they weren't here to truly risk their lives.

Few among those present wanted to face the desperate struggle of a Tier 5 Body Cultivator.

They were here to be the sparrow, not the mantis that would benefit someone else.

"Lou Mo, what are you trying to do?"

As soon as Lou Mo finished speaking, he was rebuked. "He broke the rules. If we let him go, how will the Chaotic Star Domain maintain its footing in the future?"

Hearing this, Lou Mo shrugged as if helpless. He looked at Wu Zhankong with a hint of pity.

"What a shame, such a good enforcer!"

It seemed like regret, but his words were full of mockery and derision.

He stared at Wu Zhankong, seemingly wanting to see something in the other's face, but unfortunately, Wu Zhankong's expression remained unchanged, still indifferent and even a bit cold.

"Are you finished?"

Wu Zhankong's voice was calm. In the next moment, he took a step forward, and the aura around him surged out like a majestic tide.

A Blood-Colored Battle Blade condensed in his hand. He raised the blade's edge without the slightest fear, pointing it directly at the gathered heroes.

"Then next, who will step forward to die first?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the mockery and derision on everyone's faces froze, followed by loud laughter echoing through the sky.
