356: Chapter 13: Fierce fighting, the military arrives

Zhu Jianhua stood firmly in place, his figure as imposing as a mountain.

However, the Aura around him fluctuated like surging waves, with the faint sound of turbulent blood and qi.

That sound was low and suppressed, as if a long-dormant giant beast was awakening, ready to welcome the intense battle that was about to begin.

"Ya Zi, although we haven't truly fought with real swords and spears, I am well aware of your strength.

And you should know that I, Zhu Jianhua, have never been someone to be manipulated at will.

This is also the reason why I chose to escape the Thirteenth District and regain my freedom, even if it meant death!"

Zhu Jianhua's words were powerful and resonant, each sentence shaking the listener's heart.

As his words fell, the Aura emanating from Zhu Jianhua grew even stronger, like a raging inferno shooting straight into the sky.

The surrounding air seemed to be affected by this Aura, beginning to violently fluctuate and distort, forming visible vortexes of airflow.

The entire space was filled with a tense atmosphere, like the calm before a storm, making people feel suffocated.

Facing such a powerful opponent, Ya Zi's gaze became increasingly solemn.

He naturally knew how formidable Zhu Jianhua was; in a brief past encounter, he had even been confused by Zhu Jianhua's strange and unpredictable eyes, almost falling into an abyss of eternal damnation.

Precisely because of this, he deeply understood how terrifying the person before him was.

However, as an elite member of the Dragon Group, guarding the peace and tranquility of Great Xia was Ya Zi's bounden duty.

No matter how difficult the obstacles ahead, he absolutely could not retreat even half a step.

"It is my duty, I am truly sorry."

Ya Zi said slowly, his tone calm yet carrying a hint of resolve.

The next moment, the Ya Zi void behind him surged into his body, causing his Aura to reach its Peak, and his long spear trembled, a cold glint flashing as he suddenly attacked.

Zhu Jianhua's blood and qi converged, actually forming a set of armor on his body, and the Blood Blade reappeared in his hand.

"Then come!"

Zhu Jianhua roared, his figure instantly exploding forward like an arrow released from a bowstring, charging straight towards Ya Zi.

The Blood Blade drew a dazzling crimson arc in the air, carrying a heart-stopping cold glint, and collided fiercely with the long spear in Ya Zi's hand, emitting a deafening metallic clang.

Two powerful forces collided in the air, stirring up visible energy ripples. The surrounding air seemed to be torn apart, emitting a sharp whistling sound.

The scattered stones on the ground were shaken by this force, flying in all directions, dust billowed, and the entire battlefield was instantly enveloped in Chaos.

Zhu Jianhua and Ya Zi's figures intertwined in the Chaos, sword lights and blade shadows flashing, exchanging blows at a speed that was dazzling to the eye.

Each clash was accompanied by an explosion of energy, as if trying to tear apart this piece of heaven and earth.

Zhu Jianhua's armor shone with a blood-red light during the battle; each time it was attacked, it emitted a low roar, yet showed no sign of damage.

As his Blood Blade swung, it brought up wisps of blood mist, each strike containing terrifying power capable of tearing steel.

As for Ya Zi, relying on the enhancement of the Ya Zi void behind him, his spiritual power was continuous. As his long spear danced, it was like a flood dragon emerging from the sea, with a majestic Aura.

Every move and style he used contained the essence of martial arts, both fierce and agile, fighting Zhu Jianhua to a standstill.

As time passed, the battle between the two became increasingly intense. The surrounding air seemed to be ignited by this force, and the temperature rose sharply.

Sweat dripped down their foreheads, falling onto the ground and instantly evaporating into nothingness.

However, just at this moment, Zhu Jianhua's figure suddenly paused, the Blood Blade drawing a strange arc in the air, leaving a faint crimson afterimage.

Immediately after, his figure appeared like a ghost on Ya Zi's flank, the Blood Blade striking towards Ya Zi's vital point with incredible speed.

Seeing this, Ya Zi was greatly startled but reacted extremely quickly, sweeping his long spear horizontally, narrowly blocking the blow.

However, Zhu Jianhua's attack was not a real move but a feint. Immediately after, his figure surged again, the Blood Blade drawing a brilliant trajectory in the air. This time, it was a true killing blow.

Although Ya Zi reacted in time, he was still a step too slow. With a 'splatter' sound, the Blood Blade had pierced through his armor, leaving a shocking wound.

However, Ya Zi did not fall. Enduring the severe pain, he thrust his long spear fiercely, colliding with Zhu Jianhua's Blood Blade once again.

Their eyes met in the air, both filled with determination and unyielding spirit.

"This battle today, regardless of outcome, you deserve my respect," Ya Zi said, panting, his tone filled with reverence.

"But I am Ya Zi of the Dragon Group, and I absolutely cannot allow you to be at large. No one expected you to have such abilities besides those eyes and your Physical Body."

As he spoke, his peripheral vision caught sight of his chest, where a fine crack had appeared in the soft armor, and the blood inside was flowing out uncontrollably.

Ya Zi knew the injury wasn't actually severe, just a superficial cut, but it wouldn't heal, as if some kind of will at the wound was preventing his recovery.

After carefully sensing it, Ya Zi became somewhat solemn. This will could only be completely eliminated if he disengaged from the battle and focused on using his own will to resist it.

But that was absolutely impossible now. He directly used his own artistic conception to resist it somewhat, slowing down the injury.

Zhu Jianhua said nothing more, just increased the frequency of his attacks. His goal of letting the Military Department know the truth to deal with the Ten Stars Commerce Guild had been achieved.

Next, he just needed to wait a bit longer, gaining enough time for Zhou Rong and the others to withdraw, and then he could leave.

However, just as Zhu Jianhua was suppressing Ya Zi, several figures also arrived at Yilan City, and they noticed the battle in the city center.

"Surround Yilan City, you wait outside. Don't let any Blood Disciple escape!"

A military officer said with a serious expression, "Orderly, immediately send a message to Yumen Pass. There are suspected two unknown Martial Lord Late Stage individuals fighting in Yilan City. Requesting support!"

"Understood!"

Everyone looked solemn, but no one retreated. They quickly surrounded the outskirts of Yilan City.

The military officer felt the intense battle in the city center, sweat beading on his forehead. He had only just broken through to Martial Lord himself.

"When did Blood Disciples have this kind of combat strength?"
