1058: Chapter 1057 Self-Destruction?

"Elder Wutu, is this perhaps too..."

Someone hesitated, "Shouldn't we just request reinforcements?"

He was merely sent by his faction to investigate the situation; there was no need to pay a price that would affect him personally.

The Elder in beast skins, Wutu, had eyes as sharp as an eagle's as he locked onto Wu Zhankong. "Can't you all see? Ordinary attacks no longer work on him!"

"His recovery and that eerie ability to devour and convert energy will only make him stronger as the battle progresses!"

"If we delay until he fully digests the latent power within him or even makes a mid-battle Breakthrough before reinforcements arrive... how many of us will be left alive to leave?!"

"Besides, if the dozen of us can't take down a newly ascended Tier 5 Powerhouse or let him escape, we'll become a laughingstock if word gets out!"

These words were like a bucket of cold water, making the hearts of all the experts turn cold.

They looked at Wu Zhankong's figure, which had almost completely recovered, his aura becoming increasingly heavy and terrifying!

"Fine! We shall do as Elder Wutu says!"

"Sacrifice a portion of our essence blood and Divine Soul to summon the Scar of Chaos!"

"Kill!"

Without further hesitation, the eyes of the gathered heroes simultaneously erupted with a light of desperate resolve.

They no longer cared about the cost or potential repercussions; they bit their tongues and spat out essence blood containing Origin essence Qi, while their foreheads glowed as they severed a portion of their Origin Divine Soul power.

The essence blood and Divine Soul power converged in the air, transforming into twelve pillars of light of various colors, all emitting an obscure and ancient aura, shooting toward a void high in the sky.

Buzz—!

The entire space in the core region of the Chaotic Star Domain seemed to vibrate violently.

An indescribable will of Chaos, disorder, and annihilation, originating from the depths of the world's Origin, was stirred by this sacrificial ritual.

The sky suddenly darkened—not due to clouds, but because light itself began to warp, muddle, and vanish.

Above Wu Zhankong's head, a narrow, pitch-black rift with edges that writhed and shifted like a living wound slowly tore through reality, revealing itself.

Within the rift was not nothingness, but churning currents of Chaos that could not be described by any known color.

It sometimes turned into violent thunder, sometimes into bone-eroding ghost fire, and sometimes erupted with gray light that dissolved all things. Furthermore, a torrent of mental pollution filled with mad ravings and distorted images, specifically targeting the Origin of the Divine Soul, poured down from it!

The "Scar of Chaos"!

One of the most terrifying taboo powers of the Chaotic Star Domain!

It contained the supreme might of the Law of Chaos!

The moment this rift appeared, the ground battlefield below, where the melee was ongoing, was affected.

Countless Dark Star soldiers and slaves let out shrill screams as their bodies twisted and mutated uncontrollably, or simply exploded, while their Divine Souls were polluted, turning them into madmen.

Even Thunder Horn, Jade Scale, and the others felt their blood and Qi churning and their Divine Souls stinging, forcing them to divert a massive amount of power to resist the pervasive erosion of Chaos.

And Wu Zhankong, who was directly beneath the rift and completely locked on, bore an even more unimaginable pressure!

On the surface of his newly healed body, countless fine bloody gashes instantly split open again, and his jade-like bones groaned under the unbearable weight.

The chaotic Law hammered against the flow of his blood and Qi, attempting to dismantle his Physical Body's structure from within.

The violent energy washed over every inch of his skin, seeking to annihilate him completely; the terrifying mental pollution was like billions of poisonous needles, stabbing ruthlessly into his Sea of Consciousness!

"Hahahaha!"

Yet, facing this terrifying ultimate move that would drive any Tier 5 Powerhouse to despair, Wu Zhankong laughed wildly at the sky. His laughter was filled with unspeakable excitement and Battle Intent, even drowning out the various noises brought by the Scar of Chaos!

"Now this is more like it! How can trivial attacks ever temper my Martial Dao!"

He abruptly straightened his spine; the wounds that had just healed split open once more, dripping with blood, but he didn't care in the slightest.

His hands once again gripped the Blood-Colored Battle Blade, which seemed linked to his Bloodline, its patterns becoming increasingly clear.

He looked up, his purple-red pupils staring directly at the all-consuming "Scar of Chaos." There was no fear in his eyes, only the purest and most blazing desire for a challenge!

"You think that by invoking this so-called 'chaos origin,' you can kill me?"

Wu Zhankong's voice was like a thunderclap, exploding amidst the storm of chaotic Law.

"My Dao is to sustain battle through battle, to temper my body through tribulation! All things in heaven and earth are but fuel! Law and order are but whetstones for my blade!"

"This Scar of Chaos... comes at the perfect time!"

As his voice fell, he no longer passively endured. Instead, he actively poured his blood and Qi, boiled to the limit, the mixed energy he had just devoured and converted, and his unyielding, indestructible, violent Battle Intent into the battle blade in his hand!

The blade buzzed, and the purple-gold patterns wandering upon it erupted with blinding brilliance. A blurry yet incomparably majestic phantom of a Vicious Beast's head faintly appeared at the hilt, opening its maw in a silent roar!

"Devour the Heavens! Consume the Earth! Refine the Universe!"

Wu Zhankong roared. Instead of retreating, he advanced, brandishing his battle blade and transforming into a rising blood-colored meteor, actively crashing into the "Scar of Chaos" that was slowly pressing down with an aura of endless destruction!

He intended... to actively enter that forbidden source of destruction!

He intended... to use his body as a furnace to refine the Origin tribulation power of this Chaotic Star Domain!

"Madman!"

"He's insane!"

"He's seeking death!"

Seeing this, even Elder Wutu and the other experts who had sacrificed to summon the Scar of Chaos couldn't help but cry out in shock, their faces filled with disbelief.

Actively charging into the Scar of Chaos? How was that any different from suicide?

The blood-colored meteor showed no hesitation, carrying an indomitable resolve and dominance as it instantly vanished into the churning Chaos and darkness.

The Scar of Chaos fluctuated violently. The energy roars and mental pollution emanating from within surged by several orders of magnitude, as if it had been thoroughly enraged.

The entire sky seemed as though it would be devoured by this rift.

Every gaze was fixed intently on that spot.

The interior of the Scar of Chaos was a graveyard of Laws, a forbidden zone for order, a scene of the end of existence.

The moment Wu Zhankong charged in, it was as if he had jumped into a boiling ocean composed of the most primal concept of "Chaos" itself.

There was no up or down, no front or back, no perception of time passing, and not even a clear boundary of "self."

The first thing to collapse was the boiling, flame-like blood-Qi phenomenon on the surface of his body—that crimson blood-Qi which originally showcased his boundless vitality and violent Battle Intent.

Under the washing of countless conflicting, annihilating, and twisting chaotic Laws, it was like a candle flame in a gale, flickering and swaying violently before being forcibly "shredded" and "diluted."

It turned into more primal, mixed energy particles, swept away and assimilated by the churning currents of Chaos.

Next was the Blood-Colored Battle Blade in his hand, condensed from pure blood-Qi and his will, which had already developed a hint of spirituality.

The dao marks patterns wandering on the blade dimmed sharply, emitting a pained wail.

The blade began to vibrate violently, its edges becoming blurred, as if it might disintegrate at any moment and revert to a stream of disordered energy.

The blurry phantom of the Vicious Beast's head within the battle blade roared silently, sometimes stretched into strange lines and sometimes compressed into dim points of light; its form was extremely unstable and on the verge of collapsing.
