142: Chapter 142 The So-Called Prince of the Beijing Circle
The next morning at 9:00 AM, the main gate of Imperial Capital University.
The flow of people at the school gate was at its peak, with students carrying backpacks walking in in twos and threes. Muyang stood on the steps outside the school gate, holding a cup of Americano coffee bought from a convenience store, his expression calm.
He didn't wait long.
A piercing roar of an engine came from a distance, and several passing students subconsciously looked back.
A blue-black Bugatti Veyron turned from Chang'an Avenue into the side road at the school gate, its body reflecting a dazzling light in the sun. It wasn't moving fast, but its flamboyant posture made it seem as if it were afraid people wouldn't know how much the car was worth.
The Bugatti stopped by the sidewalk at the school gate, the door opened upwards, and Chen Zihao stepped out from the driver's seat.
He was wearing a black haute couture suit today, his hair meticulously groomed, and the Richard Mille on his wrist glinted with a metallic luster in the sun. Behind him followed four burly men in black T-shirts with tattooed arms, clearly professional bodyguards.
"That's him." Chen Zihao pointed at Muyang, said a word to the bodyguards beside him, and then strode over.
The surrounding students stopped in their tracks and took out their phones to start taking pictures.
"Holy crap, a Bugatti Veyron! That car must start at thirty million, right?"
"Who is that? He looks so familiar."
"It's Chen Zihao, the third young master of Beijing Chen Family! I've seen him on Douyin!"
Whispers rose and fell one after another.
Chen Zihao walked up to Muyang, sized him up, and a mocking smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
"Just you?" Chen Zihao put his hands in his pockets, his tone full of contempt, "You were quite the poser last night at the Jinghua Hotel. Why aren't you posing today?"
Muyang took a sip of coffee and didn't respond.
"I've checked your father's background." Chen Zihao took a step forward, his voice lowered but loud enough for the people around to hear, "Chen Fan, a poor kid who couldn't make it in the Imperial Capital twenty years ago, struck it rich by some stroke of dumb luck. Now that he has a bit of dirty money, he dares to come back to the Imperial Capital to act wild?"
He reached out and patted Muyang on the shoulder with considerable force.
"Kid, I don't care how big of a deal you are in a small place like Yunzhou, but this is the Imperial Capital; this is the territory of our Chen Family of the Capital."
Muyang put down his coffee cup, looked up, and stared at Chen Zihao through his lenses.
"Are you finished?"
Chen Zihao was stunned.
"If you're finished, then move aside." Muyang bypassed him, preparing to walk into the school gate.
"Stop right there!" Chen Zihao reached out to grab Muyang's arm.
Muyang stopped, turned back, and his gaze turned cold.
"Don't touch me."
Chen Zihao was shaken by that look, his hand freezing in mid-air.
Just then, the LED screen at the school gate suddenly flickered. The campus news that was playing was interrupted and switched to a financial news flash.
The host's voice came through the speakers:
"Breaking news: Huaying Media has officially announced bankruptcy reorganization and has been fully acquired by Huihuang Group. It is reported that the former chairman of Huaying Media, Chen Tianba, has been placed under investigation by relevant departments for suspected tax evasion and issuing false invoices..."
Chen Zihao's face instantly turned ashen.
He jerked his head to look at the LED screen, which was showing footage of the Huaying Media headquarters building being sealed off.
The surrounding students also noticed the news and began to discuss it.
"Isn't Huaying Media Chen Tianba's company? How did it get acquired?"
"Huihuang Group? I've never heard of it."
"I know! It's that upstart from Yunzhou! I heard the boss is named Chen Fan!"
Chen Zihao's hands began to tremble.
He had received a call from Chen Tianba last night saying something had happened to Huaying and asking him to come help support the situation. He thought it was just a common business dispute, but he didn't expect Huaying to be completely swallowed up in a single night.
"You..." Chen Zihao turned his head and stared fixedly at Muyang, "Did you do this?"
Muyang didn't answer. He simply took his phone out of his pocket, clicked on a news notification, and pointed the screen at Chen Zihao.
The news headline was: **Huihuang Group Announces Entry into Imperial Capital Entertainment Industry; First Project is Huaying Media Bankruptcy Reorganization.**
Release time: 8:47 AM today.
Just thirteen minutes ago.
"I said last night that the matter with Huaying ends here." Muyang put away his phone, his tone flat, "But it's not the 'ends here' you were thinking of. Rather, it's that the company Huaying ends here."
Chen Zihao's face turned the color of pig liver.
"You dare touch Huaying? Do you know how many people are behind Huaying?"
"I know." Muyang pushed his glasses up, "That's why I had the Legal Department compile a list. A total of thirty-seven shareholders and twelve behind-the-scenes investors."
He paused, his voice turning cold.
"All of these people are currently cooperating with the investigation."
Chen Zihao opened his mouth but couldn't find the words.
The surrounding students had completely erupted, their phone lenses all pointed this way.
"Holy crap, this plot is too explosive!"
"Who is this guy? He dares to go head-to-head with a Crown Prince of the beijing circle?"
"I think I saw him on the freshman list. His name is Chen Muyang, from the Business School."
Muyang ignored the surrounding chatter. He walked up to Chen Zihao, his voice very low, but every word was like a nail driven into the other's ears.
"You just said the Imperial Capital is the territory of your Chen Family of the Capital?"
Chen Zihao bit his teeth and remained silent.
"Then let me tell you now." Muyang's gaze through his lenses carried a chill, "From today onwards, there is only one family in the Imperial Capital with the surname Chen."
He turned to walk into the school gate, leaving one last sentence.
"By the way, that Bugatti of yours is quite nice." Muyang said without looking back, "Unfortunately, I have five of them parked in my garage."
Chen Zihao stood in place, his fists clenching until they cracked.
The bodyguards behind him looked at each other, not knowing whether they should step forward.
Just then, Muyang's phone rang.
He took out his phone, saw the caller ID was 'Nianyao', and answered.
"Brother..." Nianyao's voice was a bit shaky, "I think I'm in trouble."
Muyang's face instantly darkened.
"Where are you?"
"At the back gate of the Art Academy. There's someone claiming to be a talent scout who's been following me..."
"Don't move, I'm coming right now."
Muyang hung up and walked quickly into the campus.
Behind him, Chen Zihao watched his back, a flash of ruthlessness in his eyes.
"Check it. Find out which academy his sister is in." Chen Zihao whispered to the bodyguards beside him, "Since he won't give me face, then don't blame me for being ruthless."
