1: I've transmigrated into a book?

The gentle sunlight passed through the gaps in the curtains and spilled onto the woman lying on the large bed.

Perhaps due to the sunlight, her face was flushed, and the fine downy hairs on her skin appeared especially vibrant under the sun's rays.

A thin blanket covered the woman's body; her brows were relaxed, and her breathing was shallow, indicating she was in a deep, sweet sleep.

Suddenly, she furrowed her brow, as if dreaming of something unsettling.

The woman abruptly sat up, her forehead covered in dense beads of sweat, her eyes wide with terror but unfocused, her lips slightly pale, her entire being appearing extremely agitated.

Su Mianmian hadn't expected to have such a terrifying dream even while sleeping; after regaining her senses, she instinctively patted her chest, relieved that she had woken up in time, otherwise, she would have been eaten by a terrifying monster.

She had just dreamt of a huge, incredibly ugly monster relentlessly chasing her; no matter where she ran, no matter how she tried to scare it away, it kept pursuing her.

Su Mianmian felt that calling it 'chasing' was just her way of comforting herself; it was clearly 'walking' her.

She looked at her hand with lingering trepidation; in the dream, she had accidentally fallen, and the pain felt incredibly real. If not for her current surroundings lacking that monster, she would have thought it wasn't a dream.

It was simply too real.

So real that she even wondered if it was a premonitory dream.

Su Mianmian was about to tell her roommate about the dream, but as soon as she looked up, she was completely stunned.

She… where was she?

The room was quite large and very neatly organized.

The chandelier on the ceiling was incredibly beautiful; she felt that if she turned on the light at night, she could spend hours admiring it.

The bed she was sitting on was extremely comfortable, soft and plush, tens of millions of times better than the hard bed boards in the dormitory.

The only drawback was that the room's style was very cold and minimalist, not the kind a young girl like her would prefer.

Su Mianmian looked at the black curtains and silently sighed.

“Madam, are you awake?”

“What would you like for breakfast this morning?”

Su Mianmian was still wondering where she was when she heard a cautious female voice drift in.

She looked towards the door in surprise; why would the woman outside call the person inside 'Madam'?

Su Mianmian was shocked. She eagerly put on her shoes, ran over, and opened the door.

“Who are you calling 'Madam'?”

Su Mianmian asked impatiently as soon as she opened the door.

The woman standing in front of her looked at Su Mianmian with a bewildered expression. She knew the housekeeper sending her to call Su Mianmian wouldn't be for anything good. Sure enough... she looked at Su Mianmian with a serious and respectful expression and said, “You are the Madam!”

After hearing her answer, Su Mianmian felt like the sky was falling.

How did she become a Madam?

When did she get married?

No!

How did she become someone's Madam just by sleeping?

Thinking of this, Su Mianmian looked at the woman in front of her with an anxious expression and asked, “Since you say I am the Madam, then who is my husband?”

Although the woman beside her really didn't want to bother with Su Mianmian, she still wanted to continue working in this villa, so she could only suppress her exasperation and reply respectfully, “Your husband is, of course, President Shi.”

Su Mianmian was speechless after hearing that.

Couldn't she just tell her the man's name directly?

What President Shi? She didn't know anyone surnamed Shi.

“Just tell me his name yourself.”

“Don't say 'President Shi' or anything like that.”

Su Mianmian said with a black line across her face.

“Shi Xu, President Shi.”

“Madam, please don't keep throwing tantrums at President Shi. I think President Shi is still very good to you.”

“Sometimes what you hear isn't necessarily true. I think you should take a good look and feel President Shi's kindness towards you.”

Su Mianmian actually didn't really hear the latter part of the conversation. When she heard the name “Shi Xu,” she already felt dizzy.

“I understand. You can go now.”

Su Mianmian didn't know how she managed to close the door and lie back down on the bed.

Anyway, by the time she came to her senses, she was already sprawled on the bed.

“How did I transmigrate into a book?”

“Even if I transmigrated, how did I end up in an apocalypse novel?”

“This is truly insane!”

Su Mianmian looked at the ceiling; the chandelier she had found beautiful earlier now held no interest for her.

She now knew whose body she had transmigrated into.

The Original Body's Owner was also named Su Mianmian; one could say she shared the same name.

But the reason she was drawn to this “Su Mianmian” wasn't because they shared the same name, but because this woman was simply too foolish.

The Original Body's Owner and Shi Xu were a commercial marriage alliance. Originally, although they had no feelings for each other, they got along quite well after marriage. Shi Xu even greatly respected the Original Body's Owner, promising that he would only touch her when she truly fell in love with him.

Everything seemed fine.

But ever since “Su Mianmian's” wicked best friend returned from abroad, everything went wrong.

When she came to find “Su Mianmian,” she met Shi Xu, and then a clichéd plot unfolded: she fell in love with him at first sight.

Afterward, she exploited “Su Mianmian's” gullibility, frequently staying at the villa, and constantly badmouthing Shi Xu in “Su Mianmian's” ear, saying that he didn't touch her because he didn't like her, and that he must be keeping other women outside.

Su Mianmian didn't know what the Original Body's Owner was thinking; she actually believed that woman's words, believing that Shi Xu was keeping other women outside.

The Original Body's Owner was someone who deeply detested a cheating husband, possibly due to her father's influence.

So, as soon as she heard that woman say Shi Xu was cheating, she developed an aversion to him.

Later, that woman continuously taught the Original Body's Owner how to annoy Shi Xu and how to make him divorce her.

Finally, Shi Xu was heartbroken by the Original Body's Owner's suicide attempt and eventually agreed to the divorce.

What the Original Body's Owner didn't know was that if she had stayed with Shi Xu, she would have been the most content woman in the world.

Shi Xu was a very responsible man. There was actually a hidden reason why the Original Body's Owner was able to marry him, and that was because of the Original Body's Owner's brother.

Her brother and Shi Xu used to be in the same military unit. During a mission, the Original Body's Owner's brother took a fatal bullet for Shi Xu; if not for the Original Body's Owner's brother, Shi Xu would have surely died.

While unconscious, he entrusted Shi Xu with caring for the Original Body's Owner.

Shi Xu agreed. After the Original Body's Owner's brother was shot and became a vegetative state, he secretly arranged for people to help the Original Body's Owner. If not for Shi Xu, the Original Body's Owner, having lost her previous protection, would have long been devoured by her cannibalistic family.
