105: Unexpected gain

Su Mianmian remembered Shi Xu saying that Ren Tingfeng mentioned there was a warehouse near the supermarket.

She reached out and tugged Shi Xu's sleeve, asking softly, "Shi Xu, should we go look for the supermarket's warehouse nearby?"

It was obvious the supermarket's supplies had already been collected by others, so there was no point in them staying here.

They might as well look around and see if they could find the supermarket's warehouse.

She felt that those who raided the supermarket probably hadn't found a place like a warehouse yet.

Hopefully, they hadn't realized there was such a place as a warehouse.

Su Mianmian's words were overheard by Su Jinxuan, and his eyes immediately lit up.

He looked at Shi Xu with excitement, anticipating his command.

Shi Xu thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "Let's first see if there's anything usable left in the supermarket.

After we're done with the supermarket, we'll go look for its warehouse nearby."

Su Mianmian nodded.

She turned her head to glance at the ransacked supermarket, hoping that those people hadn't taken all of its supplies.

While the others searched for usable supplies on the first floor, Su Mianmian and Shi Xu went upstairs to the second floor.

As soon as they reached the second floor, Su Mianmian couldn't help but get angry.

"Shi Xu, those people are too much!

They'd rather smash things they can't take than leave them for others in need.

These people are just too malicious!"

Su Mianmian looked at the devastated second floor, her heart filled with indignation.

Isn't it common courtesy to leave a way out for others?

How could they destroy everything here?

Large machinery and such, if they couldn't take it, they chose to destroy it.

Even some clothes and food, if they couldn't take them, they destroyed them.

Who exactly were those people?

Su Mianmian gritted her teeth; she hoped they wouldn't encounter them, otherwise...

Shi Xu looked at everything before him, frowning, but said nothing.

He observed carefully and found one spot where the damage was most severe.

"Mianmian, let's go over there.

It seems like they really wanted to destroy that area completely."

"Let's see what's there."

Shi Xu pulled Su Mianmian, carefully avoiding the scattered items on the floor, and walked forward.

When they reached the spot, they realized it was a small door.

"What exactly is inside this small door?"

"It looks like they tried to open it, but couldn't."

"Shi Xu, can your universal key open it?"

Su Mianmian touched the door and found it covered in scratches, indicating how many methods those people had tried to break in, but to no avail.

She was curious about what was inside.

"I'll try."

Shi Xu took out the key, inserted it, and with a "click," the lock opened.

Su Mianmian hadn't expected the key to be so powerful.

She couldn't help but take it from Shi Xu's hand and examine it closely.

She looked at the key and found many hidden mechanisms within it.

She touched it and realized some parts could extend and retract.

No wonder it was called a universal key; it hadn't even transformed into various shapes yet.

Su Mianmian returned the key to Shi Xu.

She was now more curious about what was behind the door.

She reached out and pushed; as the door opened, Su Mianmian saw what was inside.

"Shi Xu, it's full of supplies!"

"We hit the jackpot!"

Su Mianmian looked at the overflowing supplies with shock, her voice betraying an undeniable delight.

Shi Xu looked at the money-grubbing Su Mianmian and couldn't help but smile.

"Hurry and go inside to see what's there."

As Shi Xu spoke, he protected Su Mianmian as they checked the supplies.

Su Mianmian's expression turned a little pained when she saw the tall stacks of spoiled vegetables.

"These vegetables were probably delivered the day before the apocalypse and hadn't been put out yet, and now..."

"It's a bit heartbreaking to see these vegetables go bad."

Su Mianmian looked at the rotting vegetables, her face full of sorrow.

Shi Xu reached out and patted her head, saying calmly, "We can't worry about too much.

Let's first see what's usable."

This warehouse was very large, divided into two floors; the lower floor contained food, and the upper floor contained other usable items.

It was well-organized, so the two of them knew what was there without much searching.

After a tour, Su Mianmian turned to Shi Xu and said, "Shi Xu, should we call them over?"

Shi Xu shook his head.

They could just give half of these supplies to Ren Tingfeng and his group later.

Calling them over now wouldn't be very useful.

Su Mianmian understood Shi Xu's meaning, and she began collecting the supplies.

She collected theirs, and Shi Xu collected Ren Tingfeng's group's.

"Let's give Ren Tingfeng and his group more of these warm clothes; we still have plenty in our space."

"Give them more food too; we'll take a bit more of the other things."

Su Mianmian looked at the supplies, then at Shi Xu, and suggested.

Shi Xu nodded, not refusing.

He had originally thought the same; they had a lot of food and warm clothes in their spaces, so giving Ren Tingfeng and his group more wouldn't hurt.

Ren Tingfeng had provided the supermarket's location, and he would later follow them to build a base, so Shi Xu didn't want to be too petty about things.

After the two finished collecting, they went out and found Su Jinxuan and Xu Huan just coming upstairs to look for them.

"Boss, Mianmian, why have you been up here so long?"

"Are there a lot of supplies?"

As soon as Xu Huan saw Shi Xu and Su Mianmian, he immediately hurried towards them and asked.

Shi Xu didn't hide anything and told them about the warehouse they had just discovered.

Su Jinxuan sighed, marveling at their good luck.

"We searched for a long time downstairs and found pitifully few usable items.

I wonder if those people also have spatial abilities; they took so much."

"And what they couldn't take, they destroyed completely."

"Finding a few packs of biscuits dropped in a corner was considered lucky."

Xu Huan shook his head, looking helpless.

Su Mianmian deeply empathized with Xu Huan's complaints; she also felt those people were truly too much.

Didn't they leave things they couldn't take for those who came after?

Their scorched-earth approach was truly detestable.

"Fortunately, they couldn't open the warehouse door, otherwise we would have come for nothing."

"Let's go down and tell them the news."

Su Mianmian looked at Shi Xu, asking if her idea was acceptable.

Shi Xu nodded and agreed, "It's good to tell them, otherwise they'll be too disappointed."

As the four went downstairs, Su Mianmian noticed that Ren Tingfeng's people were all dejected, completely lacking the excitement they had when they first found the supermarket.

She, of course, knew why this was, and thankfully, they hadn't come away with nothing.

"I have good news for you all.

Our Boss and Miss Su found the supermarket's warehouse upstairs.

The warehouse door wasn't opened by those people, and there are still quite a lot of supplies inside."

"Our trip out this time wasn't without harvest."

Xu Huan cleared his throat to get their attention, then spoke.

She didn't know who started clapping first, but when Su Mianmian realized it, she saw them clapping and looking at her and Shi Xu with excited and grateful eyes.

Su Mianmian was stunned.

She quickly spoke to stop them, "Everyone, there's no need to clap or be grateful.

These are things we should do.

When we're outside, it's better to keep our movements small."

Although it was freezing outside now and zombies would also freeze, it was better for them to be low-key.

Su Mianmian was worried about encountering other people.

After the apocalypse, people could be scarier than zombies.

Ren Tingfeng's people quieted down after hearing her words.

They had collected very few supplies, so there was no need to use their spatial abilities.

Su Mianmian was also happy to have some peace.

After finishing collecting the supplies in the supermarket, Shi Xu decided to hurry back that night.

He didn't know why, but he felt a strange sensation here.

"Shi Xu, do you feel something?"

Su Mianmian looked at the slightly anxious Shi Xu; she always felt he was hiding something from her.

"Mianmian, I feel that staying here will be dangerous.

It's better if we leave quickly."

"Supplies can be collected again later, but if we continue to stay here, people might die."

Shi Xu wasn't worried about his own people; he was only worried about Ren Tingfeng's people.

Along the way, he had also understood their strength; they were superior to ordinary people, but if they encountered something powerful, they definitely wouldn't be able to handle it.
