158: In the Flame Wheel Valley, there are thousands of red slimes!

In the Second Mine Area, deep underground.

Mo Yan and Bai Lingyue passed through the passage and once again arrived at the habitat of the Fire Elf Clan.

As soon as they stepped in, the Elf Princess, suspended in the center of the Elf Spring, sent a friendly thought.

“My dear friend, you have come.”

The surrounding little Fire Elfs also popped their heads out, flashing soft lights of welcome towards Mo Yan's direction.

Mo Yan nodded in greeting, taking out a large number of beast skin water bags from his talent space.

Bai Lingyue looked at his stance, her Phoenix eyes slightly raised: “Sir, are you… planning to empty the spring water here?”

Mo Yan ignored her teasing, walked to the spring, and squatted down.

He dipped one water bag after another into the amber-colored spring water, quickly filling them.

The Elf Princess watched quietly, not stopping him.

The Fire Elf Clan held trust in this warrior who had cleared the demons and promised to retrieve the fire seed heart for them.

Soon, hundreds of bulging water bags were one by one stored into Mo Yan's talent space.

Just as the last water bag was put away, a long-awaited voice sounded in his mind.

“Tip: You have successfully hoarded, Legend - Fire Elf Spring x500, the illustration has been lit, activating Level 8 automatic production!”

Legendary Resource (Fire Elf Spring): +2 every 6 hours.

It's done!

Mo Yan was overjoyed.

Even if he couldn't return here in the future, he wouldn't have to worry about Little Immortal's food.

However, his actions caused the water level of the Elf Spring to visibly drop by a large margin.

The light of the spring dimmed slightly.

The Elf Princess's thoughts, filled with confusion and worry, came again.

“My dear friend, why take so much?”

Mo Yan stood up, looked at her, and frankly explained:

“I will be leaving for a very long time, going to a distant place, so I wanted to stock up more.”

“Don't worry, I won't forget what I promised you.”

As he spoke, he flipped his palm.

Whoosh!

fire crystal stones piled up like a small mountain poured out from his talent space, totaling over five hundred pieces.

These crystals emitted a strong fire element energy, instantly raising the temperature of the entire cave by several degrees.

Mo Yan waved his hand, and all the fire crystal stones fell into the Elf Spring.

Gurgle, gurgle.

The spring water boiled violently, and the fire crystal stones rapidly dissolved in the spring water, nourishing the entire spring.

The previously lowered water level rose at an astonishing speed, even overflowing more than before.

The little Fire Elfs emitted joyful thoughts, scrambling to absorb this massive energy.

The Elf Princess bowed to Mo Yan again.

“Thank you for your generosity, my dear friend.”

Mo Yan waved his hand, then asked about the other purpose of his trip.

“Princess, I want to ask you something, do you know of a plant called 'sun wheel grass'?”

He had already gathered most of the Materials for the warm sun jade pendant, but he had no clue about the sun wheel grass.

The Frozen Age was approaching, and having such an accessory that could resist the severe cold would provide an extra layer of protection.

After receiving the information, the Elf Princess was silent for a moment.

After a long time, her thoughts came again.

“sun wheel grass… is a darling of the sun, growing only in places of extreme Yang and heat.”

“I can feel its aura, it's deep within this volcano, but…”

Her thoughts carried a sense of dread.

“That area is called 'Yanlun Valley', the core of this volcano's geomorphic veins.”

“The temperature there is not something ordinary people can withstand; at least LV5 is needed to barely resist it. More importantly, there is a group of very irritable Scarlet Sun Slimess residing there.”

“They guard that place, considering it their territory, not allowing any outsiders to set foot there.”

“Those exotic beasts are crimson all over, with lava flowing inside their bodies. They move slowly and have very strong physical defense capabilities.”

“They will spray scorching viscous liquid. The most terrifying thing is that when they die, their bodies will explode, releasing astonishing flames.”

Mo Yan looked at the Elf Princess, sending his last question: “From here, how do I get to Yanlun Valley?”

The flames on the Elf Princess's body flickered, and then a thought formed a map in his mind.

“Follow the direction the spring water flows, keep going down, pass through a molten flow passage, and you will find it. But please be very careful, my dear friend, those Slimes… are very numerous.”

“Thank you.” Mo Yan memorized the map in his mind and walked with Bai Lingyue in the direction indicated by the Elf Princess.

Behind them followed a team of Soldiers.

This was an underground river channel, reddened by high temperatures.

Every breath made one's chest feel stuffy.

Small molten flows trickling down the surrounding rock walls made a soft “sizzle” sound, a sound that inexplicably brought a feeling of irritability to one's heart.

The Soldiers behind them were also sweating profusely at this moment, having to circulate their spiritual power to resist the heat wave.

“Sir, it's really hot here.”

Bai Lingyue fanned her face with her hand, a strand of silver hair blown by the hot wind, sticking to her cheek.

She observed the small molten flows constantly seeping from the cracks in the rock walls around them.

“This place, I'm afraid, only fire-attributed creatures can live comfortably.”

Mo Yan did not stop, his gaze calmly sweeping forward.

“The more extreme the environment, the more precious the Heaven And Earth Treasure it nurtures.”

His resource perception talent could already vaguely sense an energy ahead that attracted his attention.

After walking for about two more hours, the area ahead suddenly opened up.

A huge underground grotto appeared before everyone's eyes; rather than a grotto, it was more like a valley.

The valley floor was covered with slowly flowing lava streams, the air was distorted, and heat waves rolled.

And in the middle of these lava streams, puddles of jelly-like creatures were aimlessly wriggling.

They were deep crimson all over, with scorching lava flowing within their translucent bodies.

Where they crawled, they left scorch marks on the hard rock ground.

These were the Scarlet Sun Slimess mentioned by the Elf Princess.

Their numbers were so vast that at a glance, there must have been no less than several thousand.

“Hiss… So many.”

A Soldier gasped, tightening his grip on his weapon.

Bai Lingyue also put away her lazy demeanor, her expression becoming serious.

“Sir, these things are not to be feared individually, but when thousands of them gather together, if we force our way through, our losses will be significant.”

Mo Yan's gaze, however, passed over the Slimes and fell on the deepest part of the valley.

There, lava gathered into a small lake.

On a patch of black reef in the center of the lake, several small grasses, golden all over and burning like small suns, were quietly growing.

sun wheel grass!

In Mo Yan's mind, the Elf Princess's words quickly came back to him.

High physical defense, slow movement, explodes upon death.

Forcing their way through was the worst option.

He had to use a Spell, from a safe distance, to win with one blow.

Mo Yan's gaze withdrew from the distant sun wheel grass and fell on Bai Lingyue: “Spiritual Moon, I'll have the Soldiers form a formation here to delay them, you prepare a large-scale Spell, clear them all with one move, can you do it?”

He had to get the sun wheel grass today.

There was no time left for him to prepare other plans.
