206: Still want to retreat? Did I allow it?

The adjutant's tone was full of disdain: "Perhaps the livestock he was guarding have rioted."

"Riot?" Barton sneered, "What kind of waves can a bunch of lowlifes who can't even hold their weapons make? It's probably some blind heretics who have trespassed into our ranch."

"Perfect, I haven't stretched my muscles in a long time. Let's purify those lowlifes and heretics together; their fresh Souls will be the best sacrifice to the Lord!"

"All units, prepare to charge!" Barton drew the heavy cross sword from his back, and on the blade, eerie black runes flickered in and out of sight, "Let them witness what true divine punishment is!"

"For Our Lord!"

"For Our Lord!"

Fifty Judgment Knights roared in unison, their voices making the air hum.

They raised their heavy swords, and the Holy Light Warhorses beneath them accelerated again, charging!

Hooves pounded the ground, and the earth trembled slightly.

That terrifying Aura of invincibility made the Deans villagers watching from behind turn pale, their legs weak, and they collapsed to the ground.

Some people instinctively closed their eyes, not daring to look at the bloody scene that was about to unfold.

This was the Judge Knight Order!

Unstoppable, unconquerable!

This was the fear instilled in them for generations!

However, Mo Yan, standing at the very front, faced this terrifying Aura with an expression still devoid of emotion.

"Is that all?" He softly uttered two words, then calmly ordered Bai Lingyue beside him: "Shoot the arrows."

Bai Lingyue was waiting for just that sentence.

"Archer, prepare!"

"Three-stage shot!"

"Fire!"

At her command, one hundred Archers simultaneously released their bowstrings.

Buzz—!

One hundred arrows, enveloped in a faint Spiritual Qi, shot from the strings, like a dark cloud, descending upon the charging Knight Order!

"A mere trick!"

Barton looked at the sparse rain of arrows, his eyes full of disdain.

"Activate Holy Light Shield! Meet the impact, crush them!"

He roared, and a layer of silvery-white light shields lit up on all the Knights.

This was a standard defensive skill for Church Knights, enough to withstand more than three times the physical attack of the same Rank.

A mere hundred arrows, it was simply impossible...

His thought hadn't finished when reality slapped him hard.

Puff! Puff! Puff!

The sound of the arrows falling was not the "clinking" of metal he imagined, but the dull thud of blades entering flesh!

Those seemingly ordinary arrows, upon contact with the shields, suddenly burst with the Spiritual Qi attached to them!

With a crisp "crack," that sturdy shield was instantly pierced, like a thin eggshell!

Immediately after, the arrows effortlessly shot through the Knights' proudly crafted plate armor, embedding themselves in their bodies and the warhorses beneath them.

Ahhh—!

"My horse!"

"The shield... my shield is broken!!"

Screams echoed across the battlefield.

The dozen or so Judgment Knights at the very front, both men and horses, crashed to the ground.

The enormous inertia from the high-speed charge caused them to violently collide with their companions behind them, instantly throwing their Formation into disarray.

"How is this possible?!"

Barton looked at an arrow sticking out of his chest, feeling a strange power from the wound that continuously destroyed the energy within his body, and for the first time, an expression of disbelief appeared in his eyes.

His shield, his finely crafted armor, actually... couldn't block a single arrow?!

What kind of arrows were these, after all?!

Barton roared hoarsely, trying to rally morale: "They are alchemical arrows! They only have one wave! Keep charging, and they'll be dead!"

Before he could fully comprehend, the second wave of arrows had already arrived.

Another wave of screams, and another dozen Knights fell from their horses.

Immediately after, came the third wave...

Three volleys, in less than thirty seconds.

The fifty-man Judge Knight Order had lost more than half its strength before even reaching the shield wall.

The remaining dozen or so riders were all wounded, pulling their warhorses to a halt in terror, no longer daring to advance a single step.

The entire battlefield fell into an eerie silence.

The Deans villagers watching from behind were dumbfounded.

That... that was the Judge Knight Order!

The existence that was as unconquerable as a demon god in their eyes, was just... crippled by three waves of arrows?

They pinched themselves hard, and the intense pain told them this was not a dream!

Shock, unprecedented shock!

Immediately after, a surge of ecstasy welled up in their hearts.

It turned out that the Church's running dogs were not unconquerable!

They would also bleed, also wail, and also fall to the ground like dead dogs!

"Kill! Kill them!"

Someone shouted first, and all the Deans villagers followed with roars, waving the spears in their hands, expelling centuries of accumulated hatred and anger with all their might.

Barton's face was ashen as he listened to the earth-shattering cries of battle.

"Retreat! All units retreat!"

Barton made a decisive decision, issuing the most humiliating order of his life.

He wasn't a fool.

Three waves of arrows had almost crippled his proud cavalry, the enemy's strength had far exceeded his imagination.

Charging again would only be suicide.

The remaining dozen Knights felt as if they had received a great pardon, immediately turning their horses around, preparing to flee this nightmarish place.

However, how could Mo Yan give them this chance?

"Want to leave?"

He took a step forward, his figure instantly vanishing from his original spot.

When he reappeared, he was already blocking the only path of retreat for that group of Knights.

"What?!" Barton's pupils sharply contracted.

Such speed!

He hadn't even seen how the opponent moved.

"Gun Gun, they're yours," Mo Yan said to Gun Gun at his feet.

"Time to beat up the bad guys!" Gun Gun excitedly chirped, charging towards a fleeing Knight.

The Knight was startled, looking at the small creature that wasn't even as tall as his horse's leg, he instinctively swung the flail in his hand, intending to smash it into a pulp.

However, Gun Gun's speed was even faster.

"Soaring Sky Strike!"

He leaped high, bringing the bamboo in his hand down onto the Holy Light Warhorse's head!

Buzz—!

Green light flashed brightly!

Bang!

A colossal sound that made everyone's scalp tingle.

That tall Blackmare Warhorse, along with the Knight on its back, instantly caved inward, folded in half, and then, with a "boom," was violently smashed into the ground, turning into a bloody mess and twisted metal.

The power of one strike, terrifying as such!

The remaining Knights watched in horror as the panda cub, after smashing the person, tilted its head and innocently hugged its bamboo, feeling their worldview completely overturned.

While they were still in a daze, Bai Lingyue's command was issued again.

"Spearmen, thrust!"

"Kill!"

Two hundred spearmen, marching in neat Formation, poured out from behind the shield wall, launching a counter-charge against the disoriented Knights who had lost their warhorses.

Puff! Puff! Puff!

The sharp spearheads easily pierced their armor, bringing forth gushes of red blood.

This was a slaughter with no suspense.

Under the encirclement of the Formation, Gun Gun, the villagers, and the Soldiers, the once arrogant Judge Knight Order was like a flock of lambs to the slaughter, easily divided, surrounded, and then killed one by one.

Barton wielded his heavy sword, frantically parrying the spears thrusting from all directions, like a madman.

"I am a holy Inquisitor! My Lord Viktor will protect me! You filthy heretics will all fall into the endless abyss, consumed by Holy Fire..."
