182: Three Conditions of Mo Yan

Zhang Chen, afraid that Mo Yan would go back on his word, eagerly asked, "Regarding the warm sun jade pendant, what Materials do you need? How much can be produced daily?"

"As for contributions, we initially propose 15 contribution points for each rare quality jade pendant. What do you think?"

Mo Yan did not answer immediately.

"Before we discuss the specifics, there's something I must make clear."

"I only discuss cooperation; I do not accept conscription."

"I will not join any organization, nor will I obey anyone's orders. Our relationship is that of equal partners."

Zhang Chen's heart tightened, and he solemnly said, "Of course! Mr. Mo's strength is enough to earn anyone's respect. Our official side will never force anyone."

He now understood that the person before him was a truly high-level individual.

Such a person was unruly and could not be subservient to others.

To secure cooperation was already a great fortune.

Mo Yan was very satisfied with his attitude: "Since it's a cooperation, there must be give and take."

He held up three fingers.

"I have three conditions."

"First, I need a piece of land."

"Land?" Zhang Chen was stunned for a moment, then reacted, "Mr. Mo, do you mean... you want us to arrange an area for you within the shelter? That's no problem! We can immediately clear out the best area, guaranteed..."

"No." Mo Yan directly interrupted him, "I don't need to be in the shelter. I need an independent, quiet, undisturbed open space. The larger, the better, and it doesn't matter if it's far from the city."

His territory held too many secrets; if he were to be squeezed into the crowded and complex shelter, it would only bring him endless trouble.

A look of difficulty appeared on Zhang Chen's face.

Finding a piece of land outside the city was not difficult; the challenge was ensuring its safety.

After the Frozen Age descended, the area outside the city became a paradise for mutated beasts. Without the high walls and fire coverage of the shelter, any isolated territory could be torn to shreds in the first wave of beasts.

"Mr. Mo, I understand you prefer tranquility. However, the danger outside the city..."

"I will handle the safety issues myself." Mo Yan's tone was unquestionable, "You only need to provide me with a legal location to avoid any future land disputes."

Seeing Mo Yan's expression, Zhang Chen knew further persuasion was useless.

"Alright." Zhang Chen gritted his teeth and agreed, "There's a deserted industrial park in the southern suburbs of H City, covering a vast area. Because of its remote location, it hasn't been occupied by any forces yet."

"I will immediately apply to my superiors to allocate that area to you as your private territory."

"Acceptable." Mo Yan was quite satisfied with this arrangement.

"Second condition." Mo Yan continued, "The Materials for the warm sun jade pendant, and the subsequent handover method."

With a thought, his Lord panel appeared before him.

[Lord "Mo Yan" requests to add you as a friend. Do you agree?]

Zhang Chen immediately selected "Agree" on his Lord panel.

The next second, a detailed list of warm sun jade pendant Materials was sent over.

warm jade stone x1, sun wheel grass x3, fire crystal stone x5, moonlight stone x1.

"Once the Materials on the list are collected, send them to my territory."

"As for the method of delivery, you can figure that out yourselves."

"No problem!" Zhang Chen agreed very readily.

"Third condition."

Mo Yan's expression finally became serious; this was also the issue he cared about most.

Although he was powerful, he was ultimately alone, with limited access to information. The official side, however, was undoubtedly the largest intelligence agency in this world.

"I need the intelligence that your official side possesses regarding the Lord World. This includes your understanding of the Frozen Age, potential mutated beasts, and dungeons that might appear."

"And, the current distribution of forces in H City, Dragon Country, and even globally, including any organizations or individuals that require special attention."

Upon hearing this request, Zhang Chen's expression also became serious.

This was already beyond his authority.

Intelligence, especially high-level intelligence, was a core secret of the official side.

"Mr. Mo, I must report your request to Major General He, and he will make the final decision."

"Alright." Mo Yan nodded, "I await your reply."

"Tell him that I have other resources that can be cooperated with the official side."

"Such as Ling food that can increase recovery speed, and a large amount of grain."

"The matter is settled; contact me when you have news."

As his voice fell, he swayed, and in a few leaps, he disappeared from everyone's sight.

Zhang Chen watched his departing back, opened his mouth, but ultimately swallowed the words of retention.

He then sent the map marked with the industrial park's location to Mo Yan.

Ling food?

A thought wildly grew in his mind, giving him goosebumps all over.

Could it be... that he chose the Cultivation System, which was rumored to be the most ethereal and difficult?

Then, wouldn't he be... an Immortal?!

H City was about to change.

Zhang Chen dared not delay, and loudly ordered his Soldiers: "Xiao Wang! You continue to be responsible for the registration and transfer of the public, and be sure to ensure everyone's safety!"

"Yes! Sir!"

Zhang Chen quickly boarded the military off-road vehicle parked by the road.

"Captain Zhang, where are we going?" the driver in the car asked.

Zhang Chen said in a deep voice, "Back to the command center! I have an important matter that I must report to Major General He immediately in person!"

The vehicle's engine roared, kicking up a cloud of dust, and sped towards the city center.

And where the farce had just occurred, the survivors gathered by the rescue team were still huddled together, whispering.

"Who was that young man in white just now? He was too fierce!"

"Catching an energy beam with bare hands, my god, is he an Immortal?"

"Did you see? Even Captain Zhang of the rescue team, and that arrogant woman, were like grandsons in front of him."

"Shh! Keep your voice down, such a big figure is not someone we can discuss."

The staff-wielding girl whom Mo Yan had supported earlier gazed blankly in the direction Mo Yan had disappeared, her delicate face filled with shock and curiosity.

She clutched the staff in her hand, and a never-before-seen light ignited in her eyes.

So, a Lord... could be this powerful.

...

H City North District Command Center.

This was originally the city government's conference center, but now it had been transformed into a heavily guarded, futuristic military fortress.

Defense towers, walls, and automatic machine gun sentry towers formed several lines of defense.

Coming and going were Soldiers and official personnel in military uniforms, with solemn expressions.

Zhang Chen walked unimpeded, quickly entering the combat command room.

On the huge electronic sand table, a three-dimensional map of H City was clearly visible, with countless red and blue dots flashing on it, representing enemy and friendly forces.

A burly middle-aged man, with the Rank of Major General He on his shoulder, stood with his hands behind his back, frowning intently at the sand table.

He was the supreme commander of the H City war zone, He Yongping.

"Report!" Zhang Chen stood at attention behind him, giving a standard military salute.
