Build a gym for the owners

Following the young man into the restaurant, Xu Ning indeed saw an open pizza box.

And inside the pizza box, there was, astonishingly… a plain crust.

Xu Ning instantly felt completely flustered, finding the situation utterly absurd.

There wasn't a single mark on the crust, indicating that no ingredients had ever been placed on it from start to finish; otherwise, there would surely be traces.

In other words, the pizza shop really did bake a pizza with just a crust?

And the person who baked it, and the person who packed it, not a single one of them noticed the problem?

Could it get any more ridiculous?!

Moreover, how dare your pizza shop confidently declare that the pizza it made was perfectly fine?!

Xu Ning wished he could grab the pizza right then and there, take the customer to the pizza shop, and give them a piece of his mind.

But just then, his pupils suddenly constricted, and his expression became incredibly strange.

This crust… it's so odd… why does it look so much like the bottom of a pizza?

He took two steps forward, closed the flat packaging box, flipped it over, and then opened it again.

A brand new pizza, fully loaded with ingredients, appeared!

The young man was dumbfounded!

Xu Ning was speechless!

"Did I get it reversed?" The young man finally realized the problem, wishing he could find a hole to crawl into.

Xu Ning felt incredibly tired and didn't want to speak.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, no, thank you, thank you…" The young man was incoherent, seemingly unsure what to say.

Xu Ning sighed, looking at the young man with an almost sympathetic gaze, as if pitying a mentally challenged person.

Of course, in his mind, his gaze was full of care.

The young man was almost in tears. 'Am I being treated like an idiot?'

"Alright, since the pizza is fine, I'll be going!"

Xu Ning waved his hand and turned to leave.

The young man waved at Xu Ning's retreating back, wanting to say goodbye, but was afraid Xu Ning would look at him with that 'caring for the mentally challenged' gaze again.

Two bizarre orders in a row left Xu Ning with no mood to snatch another order.

He checked the backend and saw that he had completed 23 orders today.

Although he hadn't reached his target of 30, the time spent making a statement at the Police Station had delayed him significantly, so it was still acceptable.

He decided to pack up and go home, get some good rest, and fight again tomorrow.

Riding his electric bike back to Binjiang Centennial, he left it at the property management for charging and went straight upstairs to sleep.

When he woke up in the morning, it was already past eight.

It seemed he really wasn't suited for the breakfast rush; he had a good understanding of this.

As usual, he went to the property management in the morning to oversee things; at least for this year, property management was his base.

Even if running deliveries didn't make money, as long as there were no issues with the property management, his life would still be pleasant.

Seeing that there were no issues with the property management, and everything was proceeding as planned, Xu Ning, bored, opened the suggestion book, wanting to see if anyone had made a wish.

When he used to be a matchmaker, Xu Ning detested the single men and women who came to make wishes.

But now that he was in property management, Xu Ning found some of the owners' simple wishes quite meaningful.

If they were within his capabilities to fulfill, he wouldn't mind doing so at all.

Just then, the owner group suddenly became lively.

Xu Ning opened it and found everyone discussing a problem.

The reason was an owner who had just moved in asked where there was a good gym nearby.

And this, it seemed, poked at everyone's sore spot.

"Don't even talk about gyms; several gyms near our Residential Complex have gone out of business in recent years!"

"Even those that are still open don't have a great environment, and the fitness coaches constantly pester you to sign up for private lessons; it's so annoying!"

"I think, just get some simple equipment at home and exercise casually!"

"If that's really not an option, just make do with those colorful fitness machines in the Residential Complex."

"I do know a good gym, but it's a bit far, about 30 kilometers away."

"Good heavens, I have to travel that far just to work out?"

… Xu Ning looked at the owners' complaining messages, lost in thought.

Gyms, they really are a complicated matter.

Although he had never bought a membership, he had heard stories.

Often, gyms open, make a wave of membership fees, then another wave of private lesson money, and then many just close down.

After all, once they make an initial profit, there's usually not much income afterward, and owners find it hard to endure the quiet.

Even if they intend to operate long-term, various problems are inevitable.

However, this gave Xu Ning an idea.

He could also set up a gym in the Residential Complex!

Of course, it wouldn't be a profit-making gym, but rather a welfare gym for the Residential Complex owners to exercise.

Anyway, there were many empty rooms on the upper floor of the property management building, the same floor where the small convenience store used to be.

Xu Ning could totally have the cleaners clear out a few rooms, tidy them up a bit, buy some fitness equipment, and voilà, it would be a gym!

Here, owners wouldn't have to worry about the gym closing down after they bought a membership, because no membership was needed; it would be completely free.

They also wouldn't be bothered by fitness coaches constantly pushing private lessons, because there wouldn't be any private coaches.

The only potential issue might be the lack of a place to shower after working out.

But that was fine; since it was in their own Residential Complex, showering at home was just as good.

After all, it was free, so they couldn't expect it to be like a high-end gym!

Furthermore, Xu Ning could even find a fitness coach from another gym to work part-time for two hours daily, mainly to teach the owners exercise techniques.

Additionally, he could hire a part-time yoga instructor to come a few times a week to lead yoga classes for the female owners.

Hmm, that's settled!

So Xu Ning immediately searched online for full sets of gym equipment for transfer.

Although he could buy brand new equipment, the difference between new and used for such items was actually not significant, and many gyms even used second-hand equipment when they first opened.

Besides, there was a limit to the property management's expenses, and any savings that could be made should be made.

Soon, he found what he was looking for.

A gym had closed down, and all its fitness equipment was for transfer.

Xu Ning called, then drove directly to inspect the equipment.

By the time he arrived, the gym owner was already waiting there.

According to the owner, his gym had been open for a year and a half but had become unprofitable, so he closed it down.

The fitness equipment was bought new when he opened and had cost a significant amount at the time.

Of course, Xu Ning just listened to these words; after all, everything was second-hand now.

However, after looking around, he found that the equipment was indeed in good condition.

Only one treadmill was broken; everything else met the standards for a functional gym.

After some bargaining, Xu Ning purchased all the equipment for 140,000 yuan.
