52: A night raid? You guys are here to deliver packages, aren't you?

Late at night, Survival Island Central Camp.

A three-meter-high bonfire blazed fiercely, its light reddening half the sky.

Even more ridiculous was that Gu Fan had actually mounted that [Map-wide Taunt Megaphone] on a tree branch, looping an incredibly catchy, rhythmic, and deafeningly loud 'Tuhai' divine tune.

“The vast horizon is my love~ At the foot of the rolling green mountains, flowers are in bloom~”

The dynamic melody echoed through the quiet and terrifying jungle of Survival Island, startling flocks of roosting birds.

Beside the bonfire, the luxury self-inflating tent had long been zipped shut.

A wooden sign stood at the entrance, with several arrogant large characters written on it:

[Resting, do not disturb.]

[Trespassers bear the consequences (whether human or ghost).]

Inside the tent, Gu Fan was lying on a soft air mattress, wearing noise-canceling headphones, sleeping incredibly soundly. Lin Xue sat in the corner hugging her knees, listening to the commotion outside with a face full of despair. Xiao Fan, meanwhile, held the fan used for stoking the fire, shivering as he guarded the entrance.

“This is simply suicide...” Xiao Fan muttered to himself. “With such a big fire and such loud noise, even a blind man within a five-mile radius could find his way here.”

Sure enough.

In the intervals of the music, several figures silently crept over from the shadows deep within the jungle.

This was the 'Shadow Kill Squad', ranked in the top three for strength in this competition.

The captain, 'Ghost Shadow', was an expert at concealing his presence. He looked at the blatantly obvious camp and sneered.

“Hmph, is this kid Gu Fan playing the Empty Fort Strategy?”

Ghost Shadow lowered his voice and gestured to the two team members behind him. “No matter what tricks he's playing, this completely defenseless state is practically giving away points. Plan A: Second and Third will handle that watchdog (even if it is a lion). I'll cut open the tent directly and eliminate Gu Fan.”

“Copy that.”

The three dispersed like specters, using the cover of night to quickly approach the camp.

Just as Ghost Shadow was less than ten meters from the tent, he glanced at Wangcai, who was fast asleep by the fire. The Flame Lion seemed completely unaware of the danger, even rolling over to expose its defenseless belly.

“Got him!”

Ghost Shadow was ecstatic. A cold light flashed from the dagger in his hand, he kicked off the ground, and his entire body lunged toward the tent.

[Ding! 'Shadow Kill Squad' raid intent detected.]

[Malice Level: C+ Rank.]

[Backlash triggered! Multiplier: Fifty times!]

[Law of Karma loading: 100% Catching a Blade Barehanded - Terrain Trap Version.]

Just as Ghost Shadow was about to reach the front of the tent.

His right foot, without any warning, stepped on a seemingly ordinary piece of turf.

“Crack.”

It was the sound of a dry branch snapping.

But beneath this turf was actually a hole that had just been hollowed out by a gopher.

Ghost Shadow's body suddenly lost its balance during his high-speed charge.

According to physical inertia, he should have fallen forward. But due to the intervention of the Law of Karma, his body performed an extremely bizarre twist in mid-air, and the dagger in his hand flew out as his arm swung out of control.

“Whoosh—”

The dagger flew swiftly and vanished into the dark bushes.

Immediately following, a miserable scream came from the bushes.

“Ow!!! My kidney!!!”

Ghost Shadow fell flat on his face and looked up in total confusion.

Several people rolled out of the bushes.

It was the 'Mad Battle Squad' who had originally intended to flank from the other side. Their captain was clutching his side, where a familiar dagger was lodged—the very one Ghost Shadow had just let fly.

The Mad Battle captain was furious.

“Ghost Shadow! You f*cking set me up?!”

The Mad Battle captain roared, “We agreed to team up to take down Gu Fan, and you actually stab me in the back?! Brothers, get him!”

“Misunderstanding! This is a misunderstanding!”

Before Ghost Shadow could explain, the other two members of the Mad Battle Squad had already swung their large axes at him.

“Since you're being heartless, don't blame me for being unjust!”

Seeing their captain being attacked, the members of the Shadow Kill Squad also rushed out to join the fray.

Suddenly, it became a chaotic mess in front of Gu Fan's tent.

Two top-tier teams that had originally planned to ambush Gu Fan were now fighting tooth and nail at his doorstep.

“Clang! Bang!”

“Ouch! Not the face!”

“Who the f*ck stepped on my toe!”

But that wasn't even the liveliest part.

While the two teams were locked in a stalemate, a third team—the 'Blaze Squad', specialized in fire-type abilities—appeared on the treetops.

The Blaze captain watched the melee below and smiled triumphantly.

“These idiots, just let them fight it out. We'll just set a fire and burn them all out along with Gu Fan!”

“Everyone ready! Meteor Fire Rain!”

At the Blaze captain's command, the three members chanted spells simultaneously, and giant fireballs condensed in their hands.

“Go! Burn!”

Three massive fireballs whistled as they smashed toward the camp.

[Ding! 'Blaze Squad' arson intent detected.]

[Malice Level: B- Rank.]

[Backlash triggered! Multiplier: Sixty times!]

[Law of Karma loading: Aeolus's Boomerang.]

The moment the fireballs left their hands.

The light breeze that had been blowing toward the camp suddenly stalled without warning.

Then, a violent reverse air current rose from the ground, forming a small tornado.

The direction of this wind was extremely tricky, blowing right back at the three fireballs.

“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—”

The three fireballs drew a perfect 'U' trajectory in the air, smashing back toward the treetops where the Blaze Squad was located at an even faster speed than they had come.

“Holy sh*t! The wind direction changed!”

“Run! The fireballs are back!”

“Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Three loud explosions.

The treetops instantly turned into a giant torch.

The three members of the Blaze Squad fell from the tree screaming, their camouflage uniforms ignited, turning them into three fireballs running wild in the night.

They swatted at the flames on their bodies and, in their panic, actually tumbled right into the middle of the Shadow Kill Squad and Mad Battle Squad who were still brawling.

Now it was perfect.

The fire fed on the wind, and the people fed on the fire's fury.

The battlefield, which was originally just a physical brawl, instantly upgraded to a 'Flame Group Dance'.

“Hot, hot, hot! Don't come over here!”

“Get that fireball away from me! My eyebrows are gone!”

“Mama! This isn't an ambush, this is Hell!”

A dozen people formed a circle around Gu Fan's tent, performing a dance full of primal wildness and pain.

Inside the tent.

Gu Fan rolled over, took off his noise-canceling headphones, and asked groggily:

“Lin Xue... why is it so noisy outside? Are there too many mosquitoes?”

Lin Xue looked through the gap in the tent at the group of so-called 'elites' outside, who were crying for their parents and rolling on the ground while being burned, her mouth twitching incessantly.

Mosquitoes?

Those are f*cking top-ten experts of the whole school! Now they're being played by you like a bunch of grasshoppers that fell into a frying pan!

“It's nothing... President,” Lin Xue replied with a trembling voice. “It's... it's just some oversized mosquitoes having a party. They've been... mostly physically eliminated by now.”

“Oh, that's good. Remember to light some mosquito coils.”

Gu Fan muttered a sentence, put his headphones back on, and continued to sink into dreamland.

The next morning.

The first ray of sunlight fell on the camp.

Gu Fan stretched and pushed open the tent to walk out.

“Ah—a beautiful day begins.”

He took a deep breath of the fresh morning air and then looked down.

Around the tent lay a dozen people scattered in all directions.

They were all in tatters; some had faces covered in soot and ash, some had half their faces swollen, and some had their pants burned away, leaving only half a pair of underwear.

Everyone's eyes were rolled back, foaming at the mouth, clearly having fainted from exhaustion.

Gu Fan pushed up his sunglasses with a look of surprise.

“Oh, so many classmates? Everyone's up so early?”

He looked at these fallen people, a moved expression appearing on his face. “I know my 'gus mountain spring' is very popular, but you actually slept here all night just to queue up for water? This spirit is too touching!”

Hearing Gu Fan's voice, the Blaze captain, who had been burned the worst on the ground, barely managed to open one eye that was swollen into a slit.

He looked at Gu Fan's unscathed, energetic face, then at the miserable state of his brothers, and let out a sorrowful, indignant sob.

“Gu... Gu Fan... you're not human...”

After saying that, his legs kicked once, and he completely fainted from anger.

[Ding! Collective extreme resentment and breakdown detected.]

[malice points +1500!]

[Law of Karma judgment: Total Victory.]

Gu Fan squatted down and very skillfully fished out the point card from the Blaze captain's bosom.

“Since everyone is so sincere, I won't be polite. The points in this card will be considered your accommodation fee.”

Xiao Fan watched this scene from the side, silently lighting a candle for these unlucky bastards in his heart.

Of all the people to provoke, they just had to provoke this Living Yama.

Now look, not only are the people gone, but the money is gone too, and they've almost lost their underpants.
