128: Chapter 128 Driving on someone's lap? Let's go home first.

"What's going on?"

"It looks like there are celebrities!"

"Holy crap, it's Lin Chen and Liu Shishi! It really is Teacher Lin!"

"Teacher Lin, I love your songs so much!"

"Oh my god, Teacher Lin and Shishi are such a perfect match, they're so sweet!"

"Teacher Lin, can I get an autograph?"

With the paparazzi causing such a scene, Lin Chen and Liu Shishi immediately became the center of attention.

Passing travelers all crowded over to see what was happening.

There were fans, and there were also pure bystanders.

Looking at the crowd, packed three layers deep, Lin Chen couldn't maintain his calm demeanor anymore. This situation was getting out of hand.

There were too many people; he couldn't exactly start hitting them.

Lin Chen raised an eyebrow and made a decision.

He gripped Liu Shishi's soft waist tightly with his left hand, forcefully pushed aside those blocking his path with his right, and lowered his head to push through.

No matter what the reporters asked, he acted as if he didn't hear them.

The formidable physical fitness and grandmaster-level combat skills he had trained recently came in very handy.

The people he pushed aside didn't even realize what was happening before they were shoved to the sides.

Like a great shark swimming into a school of sardines, Lin Chen and Liu Shishi easily carved a path through the crowd.

After breaking out of the encirclement, Lin Chen grabbed Liu Shishi's delicate little hand and bolted, followed by a group of panting paparazzi.

This scene left many passersby stunned, thinking the Film Crew was filming, and they looked around for cameras.

"That's so cool! His boyfriend energy is off the charts!"

"If only Teacher Lin was holding my hand and running like that!"

"Good boy, Daddy is here to block the pursuers for you, take your wife and run!"

"Hahaha!"

The two ran in one breath until they reached the underground parking garage. They didn't even take the elevator, having gone straight down the fire stairs.

Getting into the car, Lin Chen stepped on the gas, and the vehicle sped away from the airport.

Liu Shishi slumped in the passenger seat, her chest heaving violently.

Her little face was flushed, and her eyes were filled with irrepressible excitement.

She leaned back against the seat to catch her breath, then suddenly giggled, unbuckled her seatbelt, leaned over, and gave Lin Chen a forceful peck on the cheek.

Running away hand-in-hand with her husband to avoid being tracked was as thrilling as eloping; her heart was still pounding, and she felt like her whole body had melted into water.

"Hubby, you were so intense just now!"

She looked at Lin Chen with alluring eyes, her moist red lips slightly parted.

If Lin Chen weren't driving, she would have wanted to climb over and sit on his lap to dote on him right then and there.

Her restless little hand traced down Lin Chen's thigh, lightly drawing circles through the fabric; the warm sensation made Lin Chen's breathing grow heavy.

"Stop messing around!" Lin Chen grabbed her mischievous little hand and said irritably, "Put your seatbelt back on! Do you stars live like this every day? Aren't you afraid of being hounded to death?"

Liu Shishi obediently sat back, crossed her fair legs, and said with a smile, "Not at all. Usually, there are only a few people at pick-ups; who would dare to surround us like that? Today was really weird. My itinerary was clearly kept confidential, so how did they calculate it so precisely?"

Lin Chen kept his eyes on the road and didn't say a word. He couldn't exactly admit that it was his own posted location that caused the trouble.

"Hubby, I heard it just now. There were way more male fans calling your name than mine." Liu Shishi turned to the side, resting her chin on her hands as she stared at Lin Chen.

Lin Chen retorted, "Are you jealous?"

Liu Shishi giggled, "Why would I be jealous? My husband is well-liked, so I'm proud. You're so talented; this day was bound to come sooner or later."

Lin Chen laughed, "I don't care if others like me or not, as long as you few little vixens like me, that's all that matters."

"Don't worry, I'm going to cling to you for this life, the next life, and every life after that. I'll only ever be a wife to you, mwah!"

Liu Shishi pursed her red lips and blew a flying kiss.

The two enjoyed the cool breeze from outside the window, chatting and in high spirits.

Just as the car was about to exit the airport expressway, Liu Shishi suddenly slapped her forehead, looking puzzled.

Lin Chen asked, "What's wrong? Did the wind give you a headache?"

Liu Shishi shook her head, "No, I just feel like I lost something."

"Lost what?"

Liu Shishi thought about it carefully and suddenly widened her eyes, "Oh my! Where is my suitcase! Wait, no, where is my assistant!"

At this very moment, outside the airport lobby.

The little assistant stood alone guarding the suitcase, disheveled in the wind.

Boss, where did you run off to? How could you abandon me?

Liu Shishi quickly called her assistant. In this day and age, everyone has a mobile phone, so it's hard to actually lose someone.

She told the assistant to take a taxi and deliver the luggage to the villa, gave the little girl a day off, and transferred two thousand yuan as compensation for the emotional distress.

At half-past eleven in the morning, the car pulled into the garage.

The moment they pushed open the front door, they saw Huang Bo and Han Meilin sitting on the large sofa in the living room, drinking tea.

Huang Bo hadn't just come himself; he had brought his wife and his son and daughter as well.

Huang Bo was a winner in life now, with an eleven-year-old son and a seven-year-old daughter, a perfect pair.

"What time did you get here?"

Lin Chen stepped forward and shook hands with Han Meilin. As for Huang Bo, they were close enough to share a pair of pants, so there was no need for formalities.

"We got here a while ago. We were planning to mooch a big meal, but who knew there was no one home." Huang Bo sprawled out on the sofa.

Han Meilin was more polite, standing up with a smile, "I was just passing by and wanted to stop in to get familiar with the place."

Lin Chen pressed Han Meilin's shoulder to make him sit down and pulled up a chair to sit as well, "It's no big deal. I'll let you taste my cooking at noon. Old Han, you should learn a thing or two. Once you reach our level, everything is connected. Cooking is just like writing calligraphy or painting ink washes; there are many subtleties to it."

Han Meilin was good-natured and nodded with a smile, "Alright, I'll observe closely at noon. I understand the logic, but I don't like studying cooking. I prefer studying the tea ceremony."

"Look at this clay; it's authentic Huanglong Mountain old purple clay. From polishing to joining, it's all done by hand; an artisan without real skill couldn't pull this off. The breathability is top-tier, making it absolutely perfect for brewing tea."

Han Meilin held a purple clay teapot in his hands, presenting it to Lin Chen and Huang Bo for careful appraisal.

This was the gift he had brought; in addition to the pot, it came with four exquisite little tea cups and a tin of premium Duyun Maojian tea.

The items looked unassuming, but if you were to buy them on the market, they would cost at least five or six hundred thousand.

The world of purple clay teapots is too deep; cheap ones cost a few dozen yuan, while expensive ones can go up to hundreds of thousands. In the end, they are just collectibles.

Tea is the same.

Ordinary Maojian costs a few hundred yuan for a big bag, while the top-tier stuff is sold by the ounce and is more expensive than gold.

Han Meilin didn't mention money, and Lin Chen didn't ask.

When friends connect, talking about money is tacky.

Han Meilin thought this set was interesting, so he brought it as a gift.

Lin Chen thought it looked good, so he accepted it.

The two shared a carefree friendship, with price tags cast to the back of their minds.

"Come take a look at the good stuff I brought!"

Huang Bo didn't come empty-handed either; he opened a black velvet box, inside which lay two ink sticks.

"I picked these up at Panjiayuan a year ago. You two are experts, take a look and give me your opinion."
