80: Chapter 80 Three beauties vie to massage shoulders and legs!
The next entertainment activity was grass sliding.
The project was located on a small hill in the middle of a flat plain... or at least, one could call it a hill. In Lin Chen's opinion, the height was at most just a slightly raised mound of dirt.
It was rare to see big mountains on the vast grassland; often, one wouldn't see a single ripple for a thousand kilometers. If there were any, they would be continuous, perilous peaks.
The terrain around Hailar was basically flat and stable, and all the undulating little hills seen on the road were like this.
The so-called grass sliding project was built on the slope of this big dirt mound. Looking at it, it was really just an elongated, heightened version of a large plastic children's slide.
Lin Chen sat on a wooden bench in the queue, thinking that this thing should be reported to the 315 Consumer Association immediately.
Because there wasn't a single blade of green grass on those two long tracks; they were just covered with green-dyed plastic carpet and things made from old woven bags.
Although it looked green from a distance, the material had absolutely nothing to do with plants.
If this counted as a grassland feature, then anyone in the world could just lay two plastic sheets on the slope of their backyard and call it "frontier scenery."
Lin Chen roasted it all in his mind, but out of consideration for the Production Team and Lei Jiayin, he didn't say a word out loud. They were out to relax, and everyone having fun was more important than anything else.
Besides, even though it was a childish project that looked like an "IQ tax," the other members of the Divas Hit the Road Group were still having as much fun as it was New Year's in front of the cameras.
When they slid down from the top of the small dirt mound on rubber mats, the air was filled with screams and shouts.
Every time the women went to queue up, they would grab Lin Chen's arm tightly and refuse to let go, taking deep breaths at the top to build up their courage.
It took Lin Chen several minutes of coaxing, patting their backs, and comforting them before they dared to grit their teeth and slide down. When they reached the halfway point, their screams were enough to scare the wild geese in the sky until they fell.
It wasn't just the women; even the two big men, Lei Jiayin and Xiao Yueyue, were the same.
When it was their turn, Lin Chen didn't have the leisure to act as a psychological counselor. He stepped forward, gave them a shove with his hand, shouted "Off you go," and sent them down.
Lin Chen was the last one to slide down. The whole process was steady, and the expression on his face was even a bit indifferent.
If he had the tools, he felt he could have calmly finished a bag of spiced melon seeds while sliding down; his heart didn't ripple in the slightest.
What made people feel the most unbalanced was that for such a crappy plastic slide, they actually charged seventy yuan per person at the window. If they weren't sued for consumer fraud, it was simply because the heavens weren't watching.
By the time everyone climbed up from the bottom of the big slide, laughing and joking, the sun had unknowingly risen to the top of their heads, and it was noon.
Immediately after, the third major outdoor project, strongly recommended by the tour guide Lei Jiayin, arrived: a picnic on the vast grassland.
The various breads and sausages in their bags had been bought in the town's supermarket before dawn.
They found a random empty spot on the grass, spread out a colorful picnic mat, and sat in a circle.
But it had to be admitted that this was an even more maddeningly stupid decision than the plastic slide just now.
Throughout the entire picnic, Lei Jiayin didn't know how many charming eye-rolls he received from the women beside him.
"Great Tour Guide Lei, can this patch of grass even be considered the vast grassland? How could you come up with the idea of having a picnic in a place like this?"
"Brother Jiayin, we have no grudges or grievances against you. Why did you drag us to this windy spot in the middle of the day? Who exactly are you torturing?"
"Look at the way the tourists at the tables next to us are looking at us. They look so disgusted. I guess the only idiots in the whole world who would run to this windy spot for a picnic are us, and we've occupied all eight spots today."
The girls bit their teeth and complained while holding down their skirts that were about to be blown away, while Lei Jiayin buried his head in his crotch and played dead.
The big-headed man's idea might have been quite poetic before they set off.
Under the blue sky and white clouds, basking in the warm sunshine, lying on the lush green grass, eating sausage and drinking a little wine—how romantic.
But despite all his calculations, he underestimated the harsh climate of the frontier grassland.
The grassland was flat as a pancake; one couldn't even find a dirt wall to block the wind. Once the strong wind started blowing, it could make it impossible for people to open their eyes.
Having a picnic in such a godforsaken place with such demonic winds—if everyone hadn't been pressing their butts hard against the edges of the picnic mat, not to mention the plastic plates on the ground, even the small folding wooden table in the middle would have been blown into the sky by the gale.
Right now, this group of glamorous big stars looked like their hair had been blown into a bird's nest.
Basically, every time they opened their mouths to eat a bite of sausage, they would also eat three mouthfuls of sand. The feeling was indescribably suffocating.
"Actually, I think the scenery in life doesn't always have to be smooth sailing. Whether it's suffering or enjoying, in the end, it's a memory that no one can take away. Don't you all agree?"
"We can't always expect sunny days. An imperfect experience is what makes a complete life. Teacher Lin, do you think my words have any substance?"
After struggling to fill his stomach halfway with dry food, Lei Jiayin finally couldn't hold back anymore and cheekily approached Lin Chen.
He tried to squeeze a few heartfelt words out of this max-level big shot to comfort his wounded little heart.
Lei Jiayin looked at Lin Chen with hope in his eyes. Lin Chen grinned and reached out to pat his shoulder.
Lei Jiayin chuckled along.
"It is indeed a rare experience. I used to hear people talk about 'drinking the northwest wind,' and I thought it was a joke. Today, after trying it, I realize that the northwest wind can actually fill you up."
Lei Jiayin was stunned on the spot: "Hahaha!"
The women of the Divas Hit the Road Group laughed until they were bent double.
After filling their stomachs a bit, the group climbed back into their respective cars, intending to nap for an hour before going to the Hailar National Forest Park.
"Brother Lin, continue the story of 'ghost blows out the light,' please. I've been thinking about it all night."
Not two minutes after the car door closed, Song Zuer's harassing call came through, her sweet voice full of pleading.
Lin Chen didn't rush to answer, scanning the three women beside him with a half-smile.
As soon as Tong Liya and the others entered the carriage, they nimbly kicked off their shoes, dangling their dazzling white legs as they leaned comfortably against the soft seats.
Seeing Lin Chen's gaze sweep over, the three women sat up straight in unison with extreme tacit understanding.
Tong Liya, who was sitting in front, took the initiative, extending her fair, tender little fist to gently pound his thigh.
Liu Shishi and Guli Nazha in the back row were not to be outdone; one massaged his shoulders, and the other rubbed his arms.
In an instant, the three beauties had all turned into little maidservants serving a young master, looking incredibly charming.
