112: Chapter 112 This mode even has movement techniques?!

The map was named Stone Castle.

It was the flagship Team Deathmatch map for alliance of valiant arms; it featured a medieval-style stone castle surrounded by various paths, wooden crates, and trees, making the map incredibly intricate.

Old Chu rushed out of the spawn point holding a K2 rifle.

He didn't know where the opponents were, nor did he know where he should go, so he just ran forward in the same direction as his teammates.

As he ran to the center of the plaza, a bullet shot in from the side, and his character fell to the ground instantly.

A kill notification popped up.

It was a small icon accompanied by a line of grey system text.

No sound effects. No vibration. Nothing at all.

Old Chu ran out of the spawn point again. This time he had learned his lesson and stuck to the castle wall. A figure flashed by at the corner ahead, and he immediately opened fire. He fired more than half a magazine, and the opponent fell.

A kill notification popped up on the screen. The same grey font, the same silence.

There wasn't much change in Old Chu's expression; he wasn't even sure if those shots were his. It felt like he hit, but also like he missed.

There was absolutely no hit feedback.

The next moment, he was killed again by a bullet shot from an unknown direction, the sound of the gunshot sounding quite dull.

Ten minutes later, the match ended. Looking at the results screen, Old Chu couldn't help but feel something was off.

The graphics of this game were fine; the texture of the stone walls was done quite delicately, and the lighting effects were on point. However, the kill feedback wasn't obvious, and it wasn't very satisfying.

Furthermore, although it had been optimized, it would still stutter at times, and the gunplay felt mediocre; often, he wasn't even sure if he had hit his target.

The feedback after killing an opponent was also insufficient; just a line of small text telling him who he had killed, and that was it. Although there was a kill icon below, it was just an icon with a rudimentary sound effect.

He leaned back in his chair and was silent for a moment. Then, he spoke up immediately.

"This game is realistic. This is what normal, realistic gunplay feels like. It's completely different from crossfire, so I need to get used to it."

"Besides, I haven't even played Escort Mode yet. Once I get used to this realistic feel and get addicted to playing Escort Mode, I'm sure I'll find this game fun."

"After all, so many media outlets and streamers have said that this is the most fun shooting game. They definitely wouldn't lie."

"Yeah, that's right."

"It must be like that."

After saying this, Old Chu immediately started another match, this time selecting Escort Mode.

On the other side, Chen Yang's Zombie Mode had entered the final round of the match.

Just as he was carrying his barrett and heading to that familiar high platform, a teammate ran up to him and dropped a gun.

Chen Yang was stunned for a moment, but quickly realized that the other person wanted to try out his barrett; after all, it was a paid weapon.

However, he didn't intend to swap, but just as he was about to leave, a line of text sent by the other person popped up on the screen: "M60 for the cannon."

M60? A machine gun? Chen Yang remembered it; the gun was in the shop, but he hadn't bought it himself, and he hadn't used it in Team Deathmatch before.

He hesitated for a moment. Machine guns seemed to be very useful in Zombie Mode; they had plenty of ammo, didn't require frequent reloading, and should be very powerful for suppressing zombies. Plus, since the other person had taken the initiative to ask, it wouldn't hurt to let him play a round.

Without wasting time, he pressed G to drop the barrett and swapped guns with the other player. Afterward, Chen Yang picked up the heavy machine gun.

After swapping guns, he couldn't go to the high platform anymore; sniper rifles needed to hold points, while machine guns needed to block entrances. Chen Yang carried the M60 to the nearby dog cage.

It was a cage surrounded by iron bars with a very narrow entrance that only allowed one person to squeeze in at a time; it was one of the most popular defensive spots on this map.

Every time the round started, a crowd of people would squeeze inside. Once inside, everyone pointed their guns at each other, and everyone was very nervous, fearing that a teammate would turn into a Biohazard Mutant.

After the countdown ended, Chen Yang and the others were lucky; none of the people inside turned into zombies. Moreover, only Chen Yang had a machine gun. The other few people were carrying rifles and submachine guns, and there was also someone with a shotgun crouching in the very back.

Soon, the roars of infected Biohazard Mutants rang out from outside. A few seconds later, several Biohazard Mutants rushed over from outside the dog hole.

Chen Yang held down the left mouse button. Bullets poured out crazily.

Rat-tat-tat!

The muzzle of the M60 flashed with gunfire, shell casings clattered onto the ground, and the sound of gunfire exploded in his headset. The score bar on the right side of the screen began to jump upward at a speed he had never seen before.

One hundred, one thousand, one hundred, one thousand. Almost every few seconds, a kill score icon and sound effect would pop up. The speed at which the score rose made it so he couldn't even see the individual small points, only the large totals.

The dull kill feedback exploded in his ears.

Boom, boom!

The score bar scrolled crazily!

The satisfaction was maxed out!

It was even more exaggerated than the barrett from earlier. Although the barrett gave one point per shot, it was still too slow; it took quite a while to empty a magazine. But the machine gun didn't. You just hold the left mouse button, watch the bullets pour out like flowing water, and watch the score jump up like crazy.

Chen Yang shouted while firing, his face getting redder and redder.

"Holy crap."

"Holy crap."

"This is awesome!"

His voice was even louder than when he used the barrett earlier. Several players around him turned their heads to look again. These few people had just experienced alliance of valiant arms and originally wanted to play a bit longer, but seeing the excitement on Chen Yang's face, they just exited alliance of valiant arms and logged directly into crossfire.

And Chen Yang hadn't expected this. Just a moment ago, he thought using the barrett was already very satisfying, with one shot hitting a zombie causing the score to jump by a large chunk. As it turned out, using a machine gun to block the dog cage was the real god-tier play.

However, just when Chen Yang felt that they would definitely be able to hold this round, the next Biohazard Mutant that rushed over actually came in backwards. It walked into the dog cage backwards.

Chen Yang didn't take it seriously and continued to fire his machine gun wildly.

"This guy turned into a zombie and came in backwards; he must be looking to die." He even chuckled and mocked it.

As a result, the next second, that backwards-walking zombie jumped left and right, and with a rather strange posture, forcibly squeezed through the narrow gap of the dog cage entrance.

Chen Yang's finger paused for a moment. The opponent actually squeezed in!

After that zombie got in, it quickly infected the person closest to the entrance. Then the second one. The third one. The dog cage was in chaos.

Chen Yang's M60 was still firing wildly, but it was already too late. The people in the cage were infected one after another, and the number of red names increased. In the end, they were completely wiped out.

After being infected, Chen Yang let out a long sigh, turned into a zombie, and squeezed out of the dog cage. He pressed the Tab key to see who else was alive, and the survival list popped up on the screen. Only one person was left.

Logically speaking, with only one person left, the match should end quickly. He didn't even think about chasing, but instead turned his head to look at Old Chu, who was playing Escort Mode beside him, wanting to see what Escort Mode was actually like.

But just at this moment, a Defender ran past on his screen; it was the last survivor.

Chen Yang immediately picked up his mouse again, stopped looking at Old Chu's side, and prepared to chase him down to infect him. Old Chu had originally sat up a bit straighter upon noticing Chen Yang's gaze, but seeing that Chen Yang wasn't looking at him, he relaxed again.

At the same time, Chen Yang quickly realized that he couldn't catch up! Even though he was a Biohazard Mutant, he couldn't catch up to the opponent!

The opponent wasn't just running; the opponent was jumping. That Defender rushed to a low wall, crouched down, stepped on a pile of small wooden crates, and jumped onto the wall. Then, he jumped from the wall onto a stone platform of the pyramid, performing a few consecutive high jumps, leaving the group of zombies following behind him stranded below the wall.

Chen Yang controlled the zombie to chase after him. He also tried to jump onto that low wall. He made it up. But the opponent had already jumped onto a higher stone wall.

Chen Yang chased again. The opponent slid down from the edge of the stone wall, performed a side jump the moment he landed, and sprang to the entrance of the passage on the other side, his movements quite graceful.

Jumping left, jumping right, he toyed with a large group of Biohazard Mutants. Including Chen Yang, all the zombies followed behind the opponent, but they couldn't catch him no matter what. Someone jumped onto the wall to pursue him, only to be directly dodged by the opponent who turned around and performed a reverse jump, creating distance once again.

Soon, the opponent jumped onto another wall, shook off several zombies, stopped, and typed a few words: "This is movement technique!" Then, he continued jumping away.

Soon, the time ended. The opponent survived. The results screen popped up, and Chen Yang looked at the survivor's stats, his eyes full of shock, not just because the opponent had survived, but because he had spent half the time chasing him and hadn't even touched a hair on him!

To think this mode could be played like this! To think there was actually such a thing as movement techniques!

He could even imagine how satisfying it would be if he were the one kiting the zombies!

Taking a deep breath, Chen Yang quickly went to the shop to buy the M60, then muttered to himself, "I must practice this movement technique!"
