103: Chapter 100 Working is also a form of cultivation

Since Daoist Priest Zhong was unwilling to demonstrate, Li Changsheng could only feel regretful.

However, the harvest this time was still significant. He knew that the core of Dark Jin was to find an emotion that touched the depths of the Soul, and then know how to invoke, familiarize, and master it.

"I have the System to help me solidify it. I just need to find it once! Yes, once is enough, and I will be able to master it completely."

Since it was about realization, Li Changsheng felt it was just like practicing martial arts.

Why use the two words "practicing martial arts"?

One thousand times is a standard. After one thousand times, you will form a habit; after five thousand times, you will form muscle memory. This is what practicing martial arts is.

Similarly, realization is the same. Once or twice is far from enough. To achieve the method Daoist Priest Zhong mentioned—the ability to turn on the Dark Jin switch anytime, anywhere—it must become an instinct.

The two of them hardly spoke afterwards. Daoist Priest Zhong fished, and Li Changsheng kept him company. After a long time, he actually quite enjoyed this feeling of leisurely fishing, and even after his state of mind became peaceful, the summer heat seemed to diminish.

Near dusk, Daoist Priest Zhong reeled in his line, glanced at Li Changsheng, and said indifferently: "Your Internal Martial Arts learning is quite good."

"Continue to be diligent, and in time, you might surpass many people."

Leaving behind such a sentence that made Li Changsheng ponder for a long time, the Daoist Priest took his fishing rod, carried his fish basket, mounted his electric motorcycle, and rode away.

"I have indeed been Cultivating Internal Martial Arts, and the progress is indeed good. Does the old Daoist Priest have any other deep meaning by saying this?"

With some suspicion in his heart, Li Changsheng forced a few hundred yuan onto Gao Qiang, gave Qiang Zi a fish, and headed home.

Returning home and having dinner, Li Changsheng was still pondering the Daoist Priest's words.

"Daoist Priest is quite famous in the country. He follows the Taiji path, so he must be an expert in Internal Martial Arts."

Thinking about it, Li Changsheng opened his computer and searched for Daoist Priest. Soon, various pieces of information about this old Daoist Priest popped up.

It must be said, Daoist Priest's resume is indeed impressive, but he is much more low-key than his Disciple. Many activities are in cooperation with official publicity, or promoting Wudang.

Huh!

Li Changsheng found an interview with Daoist Priest, where Daoist Priest was talking about Internal Skill.

The theme of this interview was asking whether this Daoist Priest existed Internal Skill.

Seeing the title, Li Changsheng knew that it existed, it definitely existed, he just didn't know what Daoist Priest's opinion was.

The video played, and Daoist Priest was concise, dividing Internal Skill into two categories.

Namely, External Martial Arts practicing Middle Qi, and Internal Martial Arts practicing Kidney Qi.

External Martial Arts practicing Middle Qi is actually practicing with grains, practicing energy ingested from external objects. In fact, if you include it, some physical training such as fitness, practicing martial arts routines, those for strengthening the body and muscles, all belong to External Martial Arts, practicing Hard Qi.

Therefore, even Baji Quan and other External Martial Arts actually have Qi, but this is different from Internal Martial Arts.

Fitness cannot perceive this Qi, but Traditional Martial Arts can. "Internal practice of one breath"—this saying applies to both internal and external.

And Internal Martial Arts is the set of Internal Alchemy that Li Changsheng is Cultivating, the process of refining essence into Qi, and so on.

"No wonder Daoist Priest mentioned this to me. It seems he saw that I am Cultivating both internal and external."

Li Changsheng is indeed Cultivating both internal and external now: Baji Quan for External Martial Arts, Xingyi for Internal Martial Arts, and Internal Alchemy is naturally even more so.

And those Health-preserving Qigong, such as Vajra Longevity, Eight Brocades, Stance Training, actually have more Internal Martial Arts attributes, but they also strengthen the body, so they also have External Martial Arts paths.

The truly pure Internal Martial Arts path is Internal Alchemy.

However, Li Changsheng felt that this was putting the cart before the horse. Internal Skill must be practiced, and External Martial Arts must also be practiced. Without a strong physique, one would be weak externally but strong internally.

"Those Daoist Priests and hermits in ancient times were able to live long lives perhaps because they practiced Health-preserving Qigong at the same time. If one only practiced Internal Alchemy, I fear it wouldn't be enough."

It seems one must Cultivate both internal and external. Even if one follows the Internal Martial Arts path, one must have Internal Martial Arts and Health-preserving Qigong to assist, as these all have the effect of strengthening the body.

Such as Internal Alchemy Meditation, it is too pure internally, which is quite inappropriate.

For several days in a row, Li Changsheng pondered every day how to experience that feeling, that touching power.

However, he had no clue.

Opening the panel, his Lifespan had reached four years and one hundred days.

"It's getting faster and faster. I estimate it can be completely eradicated this month."

Li Changsheng exhaled lightly. The Qi circulation in his body was actually much faster than it was a month ago, especially when it flowed through the liver area, the slight stinging pain was already negligible.

While morning jogging, Li Changsheng controlled the Qi circulation in his body. To this day, the speed of the Internal Alchemy Meditation Qi cycle is much faster.

Now it takes nearly twenty-five minutes for one cycle, but it cannot be operated all the time. When practicing other martial arts and Health-preserving Qigong, it has to be forced to stop.

"Qiang Zi, you're carrying a pile of things, what are you going to do?"

Coming to the side of Gao Qiang's lakeside villa, seeing Gao Qiang carrying various things to a tricycle on the side, he was immediately curious.

"My main house structure is almost built. Isn't it because fans said my place is messy and has nothing to look at? They want me to tidy up the lakeside too."

"I'm thinking of moving some big stones from the mountainside, stacking them neatly, and then putting some flowers and plants on the lake embankment. This way, it will look much better."

Gao Qiang put the things on and said with a smile.

"I didn't see it, Qiang Zi, you even know about aesthetics now." Li Changsheng smiled, turned over and sat on the small tricycle, patted it and said: "Come on, take me with you, it just so happens I can give you some effort."

For a brother's business, he would help if he could. In the past, when he was not at home, Qiang Zi often helped the old lady, and this kid helped with all the dirty and tiring work.

"Okay, then sit tight."

Li Changsheng occasionally came over to help, and Gao Qiang didn't pretend.

The two of them sat on the small tricycle and chugged to the foot of the mountain. It was very close to the lakeside villa, and it only took a few minutes to drive the small tricycle there, but since they had to carry a lot of stones, they still had to drive there.

There was a small stream here that flowed through the village farmland. Beside the stream were pebbles and some large stones. Li Changsheng scanned it casually and saw a lot of Flying Locust Stone.

Seeing the Flying Locust Stone, Li Changsheng remembered that he seemed to have not practiced plucking flowers and picking leaves for a long time.

The reason he didn't practice much was mainly because this was an external object after all, and the polishing of the body was limited. It was more about practicing eyesight and wrists and arms, and the use of the whole body's strength was limited.

Moreover, once Internal Martial Arts and External Martial Arts are achieved, practicing this is more effective with half the effort, so he didn't practice much.

"Brother Changsheng, let's do it together. The stones here are not light, each one is at least forty or fifty catties!"

Gao Qiang pointed to the stones here. Indeed, they looked quite large, and many had moisture inside, so these stones were a bit heavier than the dry land stones.

Li Changsheng didn't say anything, just came to a stone, visually estimating it to be about sixty or seventy catties.

Weight is secondary. If an adult male uses force to carry this weight, it is not a problem, but stones are not like buckets, they are not easy to exert force on.
