6: Chapter 6 Grandpa Zhang

After chatting with the friends in the livestream for a while longer and answering some related questions, Li Changsheng finally chose to end the stream.

He took a glance at the backend.

[Your stream duration: 10 hours.] [Peak viewership: 420] [Daily income: 120]

Currently, Li Changsheng's daily streaming time was generally around eight to ten hours.

Today's viewership was the highest in the past week, and it was also the first time Li Changsheng had received gift income.

It had to be said, this was a Breakthrough!

"Should I celebrate a little?"

Li Changsheng was in a great mood. Recently, because he had been cooking for himself, he had become quite thin.

He felt that if he completed this stage mission, it would be best for the System to reward him with Masterful Cooking skills; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to go on like this.

His own cooking was healthy, sure, but the taste was truly indescribable.

The next morning, Li Changsheng headed to the nearby park as usual. This was a treasure trove he had discovered a few days ago.

With his daily morning runs, Li Changsheng began to enjoy the feeling. Even though he would be out of breath every time because of his weak body, he always felt refreshed afterward.

Today, he still saw many old men and women active in the park; some were square dancing, some were practicing Tai Chi or sword dancing, and others were using the park's fitness equipment.

Along the way, Li Changsheng would occasionally greet some familiar old men and women with a smile.

Over time, although these old men and women might not know Li Changsheng's name, they still had an impression of him, so they all responded warmly.

However, when passing by a quiet spot near the lake in the park, Li Changsheng noticed a figure there.

Looking closely, he realized there was an old man wearing a gray Tang suit, practicing some kind of martial art.

Because the stance the other person was practicing was somewhat different from the usual old men and women, he couldn't help but stop to watch.

If it were before, seeing such an old man, Li Changsheng would only find it funny. But now, he felt that this old man's practice was different from the ordinary, possessing quite a bit of significance, and his movements were vigorous and powerful.

Although Li Changsheng had practiced the Eight Brocades, there were too many types of Traditional Martial Arts, and he didn't understand what kind of martial art this actually was.

After thinking about it, he couldn't resist his curiosity, walked up, squatted down next to the old man, and said, "Sir, what is it that you are practicing? Tai Chi or Xingyi?"

The old man in the gray Tang suit stopped his movements, glanced at him, and said indifferently, "Neither. It is the Vajra Iron Bridge!"

Li Changsheng recalled for a moment and confirmed that he didn't know it, but he still asked, "Then, can I learn this?"

"You?"

The old man glanced at him and just shook his head, saying, "Your Qi and blood are both deficient; you cannot practice this."

After speaking, the old man resumed practicing his strange set of stances slowly and leisurely.

If it were before, Li Changsheng wouldn't have cared at all.

After all, some of the older generation would always say this to dispirited Juniors, just like how a Jianghu charlatan would say your forehead is dark.

But the old man's tone and gaze just now clearly indicated that he had seen something.

It was just that he didn't explicitly state it out of consideration for Li Changsheng.

Could this be an old doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine? Could he diagnose an illness just by 'looking'?

If that was the case, his medical skills must be extraordinary.

Seeing this, Li Changsheng hurriedly and respectfully said, "Sir, I wonder how my condition can be treated?"

However, the old man ignored him completely and continued practicing his martial arts with a calm expression.

Li Changsheng knew that the other person was unwilling to say anything more.

He didn't take it personally; after all, there were many kinds of scams these days, and the principle that it is better to avoid trouble than to invite it was deeply ingrained in people's minds.

"Then thank you for the reminder, Sir, this Junior will not bother you anymore."

Cupping his hands, Li Changsheng did not linger any longer and turned to leave.

What Li Changsheng didn't know was that after he walked away, the old man in the Tang suit glanced at him, shook his head, and sighed inwardly, "This young man, I'm afraid he won't last long."

Sighing lightly, he didn't think about it anymore and continued practicing that set of martial arts.

Li Changsheng actually hadn't walked far, and he ran into a familiar Auntie, so he couldn't help but greet her with a smile.

"Auntie Liu, are you going for your morning exercise so early again?"

"Yes, Little Li, you are quite punctual too. Young people like you are rare nowadays. How about it, do you have a girlfriend yet?"

Auntie Liu lived in the same apartment building as Li Changsheng. She was around sixty years old, a kind-faced, and quite talkative little old lady.

However, seeing that she mentioned a girlfriend again, Li Changsheng groaned inwardly. The only bad thing about this Auntie was that she always wanted to play matchmaker.

"By the way, Auntie Liu, do you know who that old man who often practices martial arts over there is?" Li Changsheng quickly changed the subject.

"Over there... Oh, you mean Uncle Zhang."

"Uncle Zhang?!"

Li Changsheng was stunned. That old man looked to be only about sixty, so why did Auntie Liu call him Uncle?

"Heh, Little Li, you don't know this, but Uncle Zhang is ninety-one years old this year. He even fought against the Japanese in the past."

"Ninety-one years old?!"

Li Changsheng was even more surprised.

Just now, that old man only looked like he had half-gray hair, not many wrinkles on his face, and his complexion was rosy, plus his muscles and bones looked very flexible.

It wouldn't be strange to say he was in his fifties; ninety years old is usually when one foot is already in the grave.

The ninety-year-olds he had seen before were all slow and had difficulty moving, covered in age spots, with sallow complexions, and some could only lie in bed.

"It's normal for you to find it strange; everyone is long used to it. Uncle Zhang has real skills."

"I heard he was a wandering Daoist priest who came out of Longhu Mountain. Later, when the country was invaded, he joined the army, and after the war ended, he returned to his hometown to live in seclusion."

"Later, he married a wife, but not long after she gave birth to a pair of children for him, she died. However, ten years ago, he married another wife, but she also died."

"Now he lives here alone with his son and has been for several years."

While saying all this, Auntie Liu was clearly very interested, pouring it all out like beans spilling from a bamboo tube.

Li Changsheng listened in amazement. Good grief, he outlived two wives, and the key point is he married another wife at eighty; this old man is truly amazing.

After chatting for a while longer, Li Changsheng finally parted ways with Auntie Liu.

"It seems I need to have more contact with this Old Man Zhang when I have the chance in the future."

Although he had the System, Li Changsheng felt that when it came to his own life, he had to be proactive.

This Old Man Zhang being able to stay so young at over ninety clearly meant he had some skills.

Returning home, Li Changsheng continued his day-to-day routine of streaming and practicing.

One day, two days, three days...

Just like that, another week passed. On this day, Li Changsheng was still practicing the Eight Brocades step-by-step as usual.

He had been practicing the Eight Brocades for two weeks. In these two weeks, Li Changsheng had gone from the initial eight times a day to eighteen times now.

But the effect of increasing his Lifespan was getting worse and worse. Now, it was barely maintaining a balance between his Lifespan income and expenditure every day.

Therefore, his current Lifespan was 152 days.

This gave Li Changsheng some Lifespan anxiety, but fortunately, he seemed to have a different feeling while practicing the Eight Brocades today.
