337: Chapter 334 Out of Control!
"Jones, I heard your men are all finished?"
Da da da. Accompanied by a burst of dense, rapid footsteps approaching quickly from afar, a tall man with Middle Eastern features looked mockingly at the bewildered Jones.
His gaze immediately shifted to the scene of carnage and corpses strewn across the corridor, and he couldn't help but make clicking sounds with his tongue.
"Jones, I heard the target is just one person? Even if this person is a top-tier field operative, you shouldn't be in such a sorry state, right? As expected of someone from a security company, you really haven't seen much of the world."
"Davis, you will soon know exactly what kind of terrifying guy you are about to face! By the way, coming over here, you didn't just bring rubber bullets like I did, did you?"
"Heh, tranquilizer rounds. Don't worry. But even if it were rubber bullets, I think my men could do better than you!"
Davis sneered. The two of them were often at odds; it was what you'd call a chain of contempt. Those who had been through war zones naturally looked down on those who only did security work, even if this security team had participated in many dangerous missions.
Similarly, Jones looked down on Davis, considering them a bunch of brutes, a team of poor wretches without a shred of gentlemanly conduct.
"You few, flank from the left and right. Don't worry about the researchers inside. Use tear gas! Put on your gear and charge in!"
Davis issued commands from afar to the team members who had been crouching on both sides of the broken glass, using team channels and hand signals simultaneously.
Soon, two or three tear gas canisters were thrown in. Each small office area here had an independent ventilation System, so there was no need to worry about using such weapons affecting the entire laboratory's operation.
Watching the operations of Davis's team, Jones had a sense of dΓ©jΓ vu. He opened his mouth, somewhat stunned.
"Jones, here is your breathing mask. Don't get choked, you poor little guy." Davis sneered, then tossed a simple, transparent plastic breathing mask as if giving charity.
"Davis, trust me, this tactic won't work. You have no idea what you are about to face..."
"Jones, save your breath. Your failure just proves my success. Hear that? They are already in close-quarters combat inside. My soldiers are all combat experts proficient in Krav Maga. They will soon take down the guy you couldn't handle even with your whole team."
Davis stood right next to Jones, watching from afar as his team members charged into the breach like wolves and tigers.
Listening to the intense sounds of collision and combat inside, Davis spread his arms, looking like a conductor accepting the cheers of countless audience members.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
However, the sounds of intense combat did not subside quickly; instead, they tended to intensify.
Bang!
Just then, as a team member rushed in with a gun, the moment he turned the corner, a large foot darted out from the breach. The sole of the foot landed heavily on the team member, and he was sent flying backward like a torn sack, smashing against the opposite glass wall before crashing heavily to the ground.
He twitched on the ground for a moment, and soon there was no sign of life.

The EP Laboratory had been established for nearly a year. Within that year, hundreds of research samples had been sent in, and without exception, not a single accident had ever occurred.
Many researchers even believed that the laboratory's armed personnel were merely for show; besides having an extra mouth to feed, they seemed to have no use at all.
At this moment, members of Team C and Team A were gathered in the recreation room.
This was one of the few places for the armed personnel to relax and unwind. There was a small bar here, and whenever a team wasn't on duty, most would choose to come here to have a few drinks, chat, play cards, or tell some dirty jokes.
The relationship between Team C and Team A was quite good. Most of the members were elites retired from the Navy SEALs, so they had plenty to talk about.
"Brother Hardy, it's really boring as hell here. Without those charming babes, this money seems like just a string of numbers."
"Hehe, Brother Uker, don't worry. After this year, it will be my team's turn to rotate. When that time comes, I'll help you go out and see those babes."
Team A Captain Uker and Team C Captain Hardy clinked glasses with a laugh; the two were birds of a feather.
They were the type of lecherous gluttons who didn't touch drugs but particularly loved patronizing fallen women, creating a healthy ecosystem for the local economy.
And they weren't picky about their tastes. Here, they even had gun-tinkering competitions whenever they were free, and their friendship grew more intense as they fired their guns together.
Their teammates naturally followed suit; they were almost all a bunch of passionate firearm Great Masters, and having gun-tinkering competitions was a common occurrence.
"Attention all armed personnel, reinforce A-Zone Channel 1 immediately. S-Class test subject is out of control. Upon hearing this, please provide support as soon as possible. The target is extremely dangerous. You may use live ammunition when necessary. However, please note that when conditions permit, ensure the target remains alive!"
Just then, a series of extremely urgent announcements suddenly rang out from the recreation room's broadcast System.
In an instant, many of the armed personnel, already somewhat intoxicated, were stunned, wondering if they had misheard or were just too drunk.
"God, did I hear that right? Out of control?"
"Test subject out of control? Is today April Fool's Day? Did I drink too much?"
"Is this a drill? Or is it a joke?"
"Everyone, quiet down. I think I heard gunfire!"
Hearing this announcement, the two captains, familiar with the laboratory's regulations, exchanged glances, their faces filled with astonishment, having no doubt at all.
They knew very well that this was an announcement from the surveillance room.
And those two had quite high ranks in the company; although they couldn't directly command them, they would absolutely never lie about such matters.
"I remember it's Jones's B-Team on duty today, right?"
"Right! He couldn't handle it? No, no, no, that's not the point. The point is why? It's just a test subject. Is this a monster? Or Iron Man wearing steel plates? Are they crazy?"
Uker and Hardy were both confused. After all, in their understanding, it was impossible for an entire team to fail to handle one test subject.
"Go! Go! Go! It's our turn now. No matter what it is, it's our turn, buddy!"
"But... should we use live ammunition? This is an S-Class test subject!"
In an instant, both captains hesitated. After all, this was an S-Class test subject. According to laboratory rules, the higher the level of the test subject, the more immeasurable its value.
Previously, there was a B-Class test subject who, because it resisted, was violently struck on the scalp with a rifle butt by armed personnel, which caused that person to be fired and kicked out.
