47: Chapter 47 First Kiss
Lin Chuyan's heart was pounding wildly.
He admitted he had been impulsive, but he didn't know how to respond to the confessions Ruan Xingyu had made. It seemed that all language was pale and powerless, as if only a kiss could express all his feelings at this moment.
It was a touch that was slightly cool yet extremely soft.
Hot, flustered breaths hit each other's faces, and the scent of hormones was constantly filling the space, rapidly intertwining and spreading.
Ruan Xingyu let out a soft "Mm."
This was her first kiss.
She was a bit dazed, not knowing how to react. In her panic, she could only close her eyes and let him take what he wanted.
Feeling Lin Chuyan's hands resting on her waist, the warmth of his palms seemed to seep through her T-shirt, making her tremble slightly and lose her footing.
As a result, her whole body slowly leaned toward him, and she could only reach out and grab his shoulders tightly, which provoked an even deeper intrusion from his lips and teeth.
Ruan Xingyu did not refuse. Her slender arms, which were gripping his shoulders, climbed upward. Very quickly, as if by instinct, she wrapped them around his neck like a water snake, making the kiss even deeper.
Lin Chuyan was actually no better off. His mind was already a blank, and he had no time to pay attention to anything else. All his focus was concentrated on her moist, tender, and sweet lips.
The originally slightly cool lips had already become burning hot under the intertwining of their lips and teeth.
He felt as if he had had an extremely beautiful dream.
The sky was sweet.
The clouds were sweet.
The flowers, plants, and trees were also sweet.
He let himself sink into it, unwilling to wake up.
After a long time.
Their lips finally parted.
Ruan Xingyu pushed him slightly, a look of half-joy and half-reproach on her face: "Lin Chuyan, you've got some nerve."
"I want more."
"No, I can't breathe."
Ruan Xingyu felt that she was quite bold, too.
Moreover, even though it was her first kiss, she had seemed to know what to do instinctively, and had even been a bit proactive.
Shouldn't it be like in many novels or TV shows, where it's just a light touch and stop?
Her mind was a bit chaotic.
"Hehe."
"What are you giggling at?"
"Girlfriend, hello."
Nothing, he just wanted to call her by her new title.
Ruan Xingyu was a bit shy yet happy. She stood on her tiptoes, reached up, and took the initiative to kiss his cheek.
She then burrowed into his arms, her voice filled with excitement: "Boyfriend, hello to you too."
Lin Chuyan held her fragrant, soft body, smelling the scent of her hair, while being surrounded by a huge sense of unreality—
He had fantasized countless times about how to confess tonight, yet he never expected that he would be the one being confessed to.
So he couldn't help but start letting his imagination run wild again.
This was Ruan Xingyu, the Ruan Xingyu with countless fans. If people knew she was the one who took the initiative to confess, would she get beaten up while walking down the street?
Scary, too scary.
The two of them cherished the moment for a while, during which, having tasted the sweetness, they couldn't help but kiss several more times.
Unfortunately, happy times are always especially short. Lin Chuyan didn't feel like he had stayed long, but when he checked the time, it was already 11 p.m.
Taking advantage of the fact that Ruan Xingyu wasn't paying attention, he quietly adjusted his pants: "I have to go, I have a flight tomorrow morning..."
"Mm..."
"Then take care of yourself..."
"Not necessarily."
"???" Lin Chuyan found it funny. "Maybe the production crew won't want me, and I'll be back the same day I leave."
Ruan Xingyu had actually figured it out, and she shook her head: "Alright, that's how it is for artists. Anyway, I'll be busy soon too. Who will be busier isn't certain yet."
Lin Chuyan smiled without speaking, put on his shoes, and prepared to leave.
"Boyfriend."
"Hm?"
"I want another hug."
Ruan Xingyu opened her arms.
The next morning, Lin Chuyan and Wu Yue flew to Shancheng, and the two began to chat about the upcoming work.
The movie recommended by Zhang Wentang was adapted from the novel "the hovering blade" by the author Keigo Higashino from that country.
Wu Yue had bought the original novel overnight and had also downloaded the film and television adaptations from Japan and Korea to make it easier for Lin Chuyan to understand the story and his character in advance.
"The plot isn't complicated. It's just a single father living with his daughter, and then his daughter gets gang-raped by a few damn teenagers and her body is dumped. So the father decides to take revenge himself, wanting to slaughter these dog-shit bastards."
Wu Yue had watched one version of the movie last night and was furious. Bringing it up again now, he was still full of fire.
"And then?"
"And then the thing that makes me the most furious is that in the end, this father dies, and one of the dog-shit bastards is still living well."
"???"
What kind of shitty plot is this?
"If you get selected this time, you'll likely be playing one of those dog-shit bastards."
Lin Chuyan twitched the corner of his mouth, feeling like he had been scolded: "... Alright, having a challenge is good."
"Mm, act well. Don't have any idol baggage; you don't need to worry about that problem."
Lin Chuyan naturally had no idol baggage that would prevent him from playing a villain. He even felt that the eviler the character, the better. If the whole internet was cursing him after the movie was released, he couldn't even imagine the dynamic traffic value. Wouldn't that be awesome?
However, Wu Yue's reason was obviously not this.
"How does that saying go? 'Values follow the looks.' No matter what kind of villain you play, many times, good looks are justice.
Also, if you really play such a character, it's foreseeable that many people will curse you, and some will even throw mud at you, saying you're playing yourself. Many people will be led by the nose and join in the cursing."
Lin Chuyan naturally nodded.
"But it doesn't matter. If you act well, there will be another group of people praising your acting, and they might even mock those who curse you, saying they don't understand that one should separate the actor from the role.
Then you will see a very funny situation—these two groups will start arguing among themselves.
The more fiercely those who curse you scold, the more the people refuting them will stand on your side and speak up for you to prove they are right."
Lin Chuyan listened and suddenly had an epiphany: "That sounds so familiar..."
"This is traffic," Wu Yue explained. "Wasn't that how you were before? Haters and passersby chased you to curse you, and fans came to defend you. If it weren't for that incident later... ahem."
Lin Chuyan naturally knew what he was talking about—the sci-fi blockbuster during the Spring Festival Movie Season that caused his Waterloo.
Since then, his popularity had dropped off a cliff.
How much was the investment for that film initially? How did it end up being such a piece of garbage?
Lin Chuyan couldn't figure it out.
If he couldn't figure it out, he wouldn't think about it.
"So, come on, kid. Act well and strive to become a solid actor as soon as possible. You don't need to worry about anything else." Wu Yue patted his shoulder. "Even if we don't compare acting skills, it's time for us to let the audience in the Chinese Entertainment Industry eat something better. Which of those idols today has a better look than you? Sometimes I'm really not convinced."
Lin Chuyan held back a laugh: "By the way, those songs of mine should be released before the new year."
"We'll see the reaction then. If it doesn't work, we'll buy you a few trending topics." Speaking of songs, Wu Yue suddenly remembered something. "By the way, what about that little girlfriend of yours from Tianxing? Did you get her?"
"Mm, just last night, we got together."
Speaking of this, a silly, infatuated smile appeared on Lin Chuyan's face.
He could still reminisce about last night's kiss even now.
"That's a good thing. Young people have a lot of energy; there needs to be an outlet for this aspect, otherwise, it's easy to go down an unlawful path."
Wu Yue laughed a little lecherously, but didn't forget to remind him:
"I have two requirements. First, don't go public for now. There's no benefit to it. At the very least, wait until your career rises and stabilizes a bit more before talking about it. You need to make this clear to her.
Second, don't cheat. If you like someone, treat her well. Otherwise, it's harming others and yourself. You're a public figure; you should understand this."
Lin Chuyan nodded in agreement.
He certainly understood. Whether in his previous life or this one, there were too many artists who were found cheating and then exposed by the woman, directly hammering them to death!
