96: Chapter 96 Admission Qualifications

"Arabella, wake up." Ronan gently patted Arabella, calling out to her.

【Remember the site domain, read Taiwanese novels on Super Awesome】

The Guild Master had been eliminated, and all connections generated by the Yin He Stone had vanished.

Ronan pulled Arabella out of the cultivation tank.

"Wake up, Miss Secretary."

With his repeated calls, Arabella finally opened her eyes.

She lifted her head, looking around in confusion. When her gaze refocused and she saw Ronan, she finally snapped back to reality.

"I knew you would come to save me." Arabella looked at him with a besotted smile.

Ronan briefly explained what had happened here to her.

"I never thought Guild Master Shire would————" Tears welled up in Arabella's eyes, and she seemed somewhat dazed.

Ronan grabbed her shoulders and said, "The mastermind is dead. To avoid unnecessary trouble, don't say anything. Just say that when you went to the Guild Master's office, you found a tunnel leading here————"

"I understand." Arabella nodded, then looked at him and asked, "What about you?"

"Don't reveal my existence either." Ronan hesitated for a moment but decided to tell her the truth. "Actually, I was framed and sent to the Academy. This isn't my real appearance."

With a wave of his hand, he canceled the Phantasm Face function of the mask of truth, reverting to his original youthful form.

Arabella stared at the handsome White-haired Youth before her, momentarily stunned. "You————you're actually this good-looking————"

"My real name is Ronan." Ronan told her his name.

He thought to himself, *Well, that's acceptable. This body only has this one advantage anyway.*

Immediately after, he transformed back into the appearance of Black Day and said, "I'll be going out for the next few days. It's best if you don't wander around."

A fierce glint appeared in Ronan's eyes. He had decided to seek revenge on the Administrator.

With his current strength, if he launched a surprise attack, it was entirely possible to kill the Administrator outright.

Adventurers Guild Hall.

After finishing her business, Alice looked up to see an unfamiliar man sitting opposite her.

"Sir, how may I assist you?" she asked politely, with a sweet smile.

"I need to use my status as an Intermediate Adventurer to inquire about some crucial information," the man said in a hushed, furtive tone.

"Certainly, sir. Please present the relevant proof or state your codename."

"No problem, here." The man produced an Intermediate Adventurer rank token.

"Lord White Night, what information would you like to inquire about?" Alice's eyes curved into crescent moons as she smiled.

"Huh? Have you mistaken me for someone else?"

Ronan was momentarily stunned. He was currently wearing Blood Duke's face, and the Intermediate Adventurer rank token didn't have his information on it.

"This rank token is the latest version. Since its implementation, you are the only one who has been promoted to Intermediate Adventurer," Alice explained with a smile.

Such bad luck————

Ronan looked frustrated. He realized he always got recognized by Alice.

"Actually, I'm on a covert mission. I urgently need to find Lord Administrator, but I can't do it openly here————"

He lowered his voice and said, "You understand what I mean, right?"

"You want to go to Lord Administrator's residence?" Alice blinked.

"Yes." Ronan nodded. "Don't make a fuss. Just tell me directly."

Alice shook her head, indicating she didn't know, then added, "Lord White Night, you can check the public notice board over there in the hall. It has Lord Administrator's public mailing address."

"You could have said so earlier."

Ronan muttered, casually pinching Alice's cheek before heading towards the notice board.

He deliberately waited for a middle-aged man in a trench coat ahead of him to leave before stepping up to the board to search for the Administrator's address.

After silently memorizing the address, he returned to Alice. "Almost forgot to tell you, don't leak our conversation today. It won't do you any good."

"Understood, Lord White Night." Alice smiled warmly and charmingly, nodding in agreement.

Moonless City implemented a five-day curfew every other two days.

It seemed similar to the workdays and weekends from Ronan's previous life. Two days with no curfew (weekends), and the opposite on workdays.

Today happened to be a curfew day.

The streets were empty at night, and shops along the roadside had closed early.

Wearing Blood Duke's face, Ronan turned the Concealment function of the mask of truth to maximum and headed towards the Administrator's residence.

He first circled the surrounding area many times to familiarize himself with the terrain before gradually approaching the residence.

As soon as he got close, Ronan noticed that no lights were on inside the residence; the Administrator seemed to be away.

He didn't rashly use his Spiritual Domain, fearing someone might detect the probing.

Just as he was about to leave, he unexpectedly caught sight of two security personnel collapsed near the main gate.

What's this————

Ronan stepped forward to look and found both were burly beastmen.

Their neck bones were twisted; they were dead beyond any doubt.

Just as he was about to deploy his Spiritual Domain to investigate, an almost tangible Spiritual Power pressure emanated from inside the house first.

Ronan immediately erected his Spiritual Domain on a small scale to resist.

This pressure shared similarities with the pressure from his Spiritual Domain. However, his pressure focused on concentrating all force onto a single point, while this pressure emphasized full-range coverage, making it relatively less potent.

"I'm here to help you. If it were someone else, do you think they'd be as reasonable as I am?"

A mature male voice came from the dimly lit house.

"Killing two of my guards and threatening me with mental magic—this is what you call helping?"

Another voice, full of sarcasm, rang out.

Ronan recognized the owner of this voice; it was indeed Administrator Morgan.

"Just two lowlifes," the mature male voice said dismissively. "Compared to the shady dealings you've been involved in, it's nothing."

"Don't think that just because you're a lackey of the Council, you can slander me with empty words!" The Administrator's voice was impassioned.

"Cut the act. I can't even be bothered to expose you————If you don't cooperate, don't blame me for being impolite." The mature male voice clearly lost patience.

"Get out!"

But the Administrator struck first. A blazing flame illuminated the entire dim house, then, as if hitting something, instantly spread, engulfing the interior in fire.

"Trying to burn the house down to destroy evidence?" The mature male voice saw through the Administrator's intention. "Hmph, while I don't care about evidence, this method is rather naive————"

As soon as he finished speaking, Ronan felt a Spiritual Power tornado rapidly forming.

The tornado's core was precisely where the fire had started in the house.

In an instant, the raging flames were extinguished.

Ronan was inwardly astonished. *From intangible to tangible, from void to substance—Spiritual Power can be used like this?*

He suddenly remembered the profession Director Dick had mentioned. Perhaps the owner of this mature male voice was a true Mentalist.

"Demon Hand, don't push me!" the Administrator shrieked hysterically.

The inside of the house suddenly became brightly lit.

Ronan thought the lights had been turned on, but upon looking, he saw large clusters of flames erupting from various doors and windows of the house.

"I already said, I don't care about evidence," this 'Demon Hand' spoke unhurriedly. "However, your behavior displeases me."

Immediately, a powerful Spiritual Power pressure descended from above, like a giant palm slapping down, extinguishing all flames within the house.

"Die!"

The Administrator roared. An explosion sounded from inside the house, followed by the noise of collapsing furniture and walls.

"My patience is almost exhausted."

Demon Hand said impatiently and directly cast a spell: "'Spiritual Cage'."

Ronan heard this familiar magic; he had personally experienced it before.

Judging by the Spiritual Power fluctuations, the magic Demon Hand cast was clearly not on the same level as Director Dick's.

Under the amplification of his wand and gem, the Spiritual Power fluctuation from Director Dick's casting of this spell was probably only one-tenth of Demon Hand's.

Ronan had reason to suspect that 'Mentalist' was the professional name for a mental-type mage after obtaining a Class.

And Demon Hand was likely a Mentalist.

After Demon Hand cast "Spiritual Cage," the Administrator immediately fell completely silent.

Ronan knew the Administrator had most likely fallen into an infant-like slumber.

He hesitated for a moment, unsure what to do next.

This Demon Hand inside—who knew where he intended to take the Administrator? If Ronan intervened, it would inevitably lead to another major battle.

Ronan suddenly felt somewhat uncertain.

His 'class seed' was still in his mind, and he didn't know how to use it.

With Ronan's current strength, he could easily handle opponents below Class rank, and could even fight against newly promoted Class holders.

But his intuition told him Demon Hand was different from newly promoted Class holders like the Guild Master; he was likely an established powerhouse.

Just as he was at a loss and preparing to retreat, Demon Hand inside the house suddenly spoke: "Come in."

Ronan immediately didn't dare make any rash moves.

He wasn't sure if this was an invitation for him to enter or if there were others hidden nearby.

However, he soon got his answer.

Because he felt the Spiritual Power pressure on him slightly intensify, then vanish immediately.

Clearly, the other party had known his location all along.

So, Ronan simply expanded his Spiritual Domain and stepped out from his hiding spot.

With a sweep of his Spiritual Domain, the situation inside the house was laid bare.

He saw a middle-aged man in a trench coat sitting on the living room sofa. At his feet was the Administrator, wrapped up tightly like a rice dumpling.

Ronan had seen this person before—during the day, at the Adventurers Guild hall's notice board.

The person ahead of Ronan at that time was Demon Hand.

So he had also been looking for the Administrator's address————

Ronan understood.

"Is that White Night?" Demon Hand asked.

Ronan's heart skipped a beat, but his expression remained unchanged. He nodded. "It is."

"Perfect, that saves me the trouble of looking for you," Demon Hand said, looking pleased. "Apologies, I'm not a very patient person.

"

"So then————"

Demon Hand cleared his throat, took out a piece of paper, and read from it: "Regarding a series of violations by Administrator Morgan of the Moonless City Adventurers Guild branch, I hereby announce the following disciplinary decisions————"

"Administrator Morgan deliberately concealed superior orders and committed multiple offenses. He is hereby placed under arrest for trial. A final ruling will be made by the direct superior authority at a later date."

Ronan was somewhat puzzled.

What command had the Administrator concealed? It sounded more serious than the crimes he committed?

"Adventurer White Night, due to your timely reporting of relevant contamination information in Moonless City, which enabled the organization to avert significant losses——

"By decision of the superior department, your Adventurer rank is promoted to Senior Adventurer, and you are granted temporary decision-making authority within the Moonless City Adventurers Guild branch."

Temporary decision-making authority————

Wasn't this a division of the Administrator's power?

Ronan thought to himself. *Could it be that what the Administrator concealed was precisely this?*

"Additionally, you will receive admission qualification to the Elemental Academy's 'Disorder Light Void'."
