122: You should be the leader!
"Boss, don't be impulsive!"
"Have you forgotten the outcome of the last major sweep?"
Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch's eyes turned cold; how could he forget?
The last major sweep was five years ago, and the overall strength of the Revolutionary Army was more than ten times stronger than it is now.
Everyone was full of confidence, ready for a big fight, but they discovered that the Hai Star people had deployed interstellar warships and a large number of drones.
In the face of an absolute disparity in strength, what was called resistance became a bloody massacre.
Since then, the voices of resistance have grown weaker and weaker, the Revolutionary Army completely hid underground, and fewer and fewer people joined the Revolutionary Army.
His branch originally had 300 people, but now there are less than 40.
"That little girl is right; if we keep hiding underground, when will the Revolutionary Army truly rise?"
"To restore the morale of five years ago, we must fight for it ourselves!"
After the order was given, all members of the Revolutionary Army left their long-time underground dwelling with their weapons.
When all members of the Revolutionary Army learned that the Hai Star people were about to conduct a major sweep, most of them were determined to die; they didn't want to keep hiding underground, it was too stifling.
The convoy sped along, closely following a military-green armored vehicle in front.
Blazing Phoenix sat in the driver's seat, his eyes closed, adjusting his breathing.
Blazing Stream looked out the car window at the scenery of the Gobi Desert, her eyes shining.
"Uncle, even the weeds here can grow so tall. If we plant our family's medicinal herbs, the effect will definitely be very good."
Blazing Phoenix opened his eyes, his gaze sweeping over the weeds on both sides of the road, which were much taller than a person.
His sight cast towards a dense forest in the distance; the shortest tree was almost a hundred meters tall.
"Hmm, not bad."
The self-driving armored vehicle stopped in a low-lying area.
"Uncle, we've reached the ambush point."
Blazing Stream pulled out a pair of meteor hammers from her backpack and, after getting out of the car, began to practice in advance.
As the meteor hammers danced, whistling sounds erupted, and the strong winds they generated caused the sand and stones on the ground to roll back and forth.
Blazing Phoenix took out an exquisite, elongated wooden box from his personal backpack. He opened the clasp, revealing a jet-black longsword inside.
He took the longsword and hung it at his waist.
He also hung two heavy particle rifles, officially issued, at his waist.
Blazing Stream almost burst out laughing at this sight.
"Hahahaha, Uncle, what are you doing?"
Blazing Phoenix gave Blazing Stream a glare and coldly reprimanded, "Xiao Xi, times are different now; don't underestimate these weapons."
Blazing Stream said, "Oh," and at Blazing Phoenix's urging, she returned to the car, put on her special belt, and placed the two heavy particle rifles into their holsters.
The Revolutionary Army's convoy followed closely, hiding their vehicles in the low-lying area. Everyone gripped their weapons tightly, cautiously peeking out to observe the situation outside.
"They're here!"
"Watch the sky, there are drones!"
Blazing Phoenix looked up at the sky; at least a hundred drones appeared hundreds of meters high.
Looking at the ground again, five armored vehicles were rapidly approaching.
Blazing Phoenix: "I'll deal with the ones above."
Blazing Stream: "Okay, Uncle, the ground is all mine!"
Blazing Phoenix's knees sank slightly, and the ground instantly cracked like a spiderweb. With a powerful leap, he ascended into the sky like a beam of light.
All the members of the Revolutionary Army simultaneously raised their heads, staring in disbelief at the scene before them.
He flew up?
Before they could react, Blazing Stream had already pulled out her beloved meteor hammers, jumped out of the low-lying area, and, like a green lightning bolt, charged towards the Hai Star convoy hundreds of meters away.
Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch held binoculars, his eyes wide with a blank stare, his eyeballs almost falling out of their sockets.
In just the blink of an eye, he saw Blazing Stream had already rushed to the front of the convoy, her meteor hammer smashing fiercely onto the roof of one of the armored vehicles.
All that was seen was a large amount of dust erupting from the ground, and the shockwave spread, causing the ground within a hundred-meter radius to cave in.
From hundreds of meters away, a strong gust of wind blew, sending the hats worn by the Revolutionary Army members flying to the side, and their bangs uniformly lifted, pressing tightly against their foreheads.
The convoy?
All of them had overturned... "Boss, we..."
"Are we going or not!"
Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch's hands trembled uncontrollably. In his sight, the meteor hammer in the hands of that petite figure was no different from a cannonball; every time it struck, an armored vehicle was smashed into a meat patty.
He couldn't even imagine how miserable the Hai Star people inside must be.
In the high sky, drones emitting black smoke continuously fell, like rain.
Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch raised his binoculars and looked at the sky. Less than five seconds had passed, and there were no drones left; all had been shot down.
"Bo-Boss, the battle seems to be over."
Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch pursed his lips, his speech becoming a stutter.
"I... I saw it."
"These two humans are definitely Titans in human skin."
"Even Titans can't be this fierce, right?"
"Hahahahaha... Our Revolutionary Army is finally getting back on its feet!"
Blazing Phoenix looked at the only undestroyed drone flying into the distance, the corners of his mouth curving slightly, and his figure rapidly descended to the ground.
He turned his head to look in Blazing Stream's direction, his eyebrows slightly raised.
"Uncle, how was it? I didn't embarrass you, did I!"
Blazing Stream skipped and ran towards Blazing Phoenix, but was met with a flick on the forehead from her uncle.
She pouted, covering her slightly reddened forehead with a somewhat aggrieved expression, and said, "Uncle, why did you hit me?"
Blazing Phoenix's face was cold as he reprimanded, "I told you to hold back some strength; just getting the message across is enough."
"Oh, I know, next time for sure."
The two returned to the low-lying area. Blazing Stream stepped forward, patted Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch's shoulder, and grinned, "Boss, how was it?"
Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch swallowed, then quickly said, "No, no, no, this leader position is yours; I'm not doing it anymore."
Blazing Stream revealed two small dimples, nodded, and replied, "You said it yourself; I didn't force you."
Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch looked around and urged, "Why are you still standing there? Quickly greet the new leader."
All the members of the Revolutionary Army finally reacted and uniformly bowed to Blazing Stream.
"Boss!"
Blazing Phoenix silently returned to the armored vehicle, opened the door, and got in.
Blazing Stream: "Then I'll give you your first mission now: quickly find a good place to build a base, understand?"
"Understood!"
"And recruit more people. If money is short, just ask."
Leader of the Revolutionary Army branch nodded like a pounding garlic, not at all disheartened by losing his leadership position.
As long as he could fight the Hai Star people, he was willing to even run errands.
Because his wife and children, old and young, and all his friends and relatives had died at the hands of the Hai Star people.
A deep blood feud, it had to be avenged.
